He must really be hoping for mannah from heaven - and it is not going to happen.   After the royal f#uck-up made by Jantjies - gifting on his own 10 points to the Crusaders - he now persists with Jantjies at flyhalf.   The backline last week was dead - purly because he persisted in his selection of the epitome of dead backlines - Juan de Jongh.

And then he selected Schreuder to cover in case Jantjies flopped worse than he did last week - and a flop is guaranteed.

The Cheetahs back row will have huge fun with Jantjies and their outside backs - both Sadie and Le Roux  -are going to play the fool with De Jongh - mark my words.

I give the Cheetahs a 60% chance of wnning the game.

i agree mike. expect the jungle jiver himself allister coetzee making a lot of excuses. as most coaches know you live and die by your selections and jantjies and de jongh will be the biggest weak points in the backline. if they at least offered something on attack it would have been a trade off but they are so useless that they cant even score in in brothel.

the cheetahs tight 5 and ball runners are very competive and i expect the boys from bloem to give the stormers a big up on all sides. hope naka does not go all defensive and try and play trench style rugby with the stormers. if he can send a few ball carriers in the jantjies channel on his outside arm i am quite sure one can crack that defense line wide open. its a game on the highveld so i hope the cheetahs make the stormers fat boys run all day long. make those lungs burn a bit.

if the cheetahs dont pitch up with the defensive mindset i would expect a cheetahs win. if naka comes and plays a kick forward style of game then expect the stormers to take it

I just saw that there is a glimmer of hope for the Stormers that Jantjies may not play on Saturday - he has a bruised chest and Coetzee is so "married" to the guy that he is giving him till Friday before deciding finally on the issue of whether to replace him with Van Aswegen. That is a real problem for the Cheetahs - they would have fun with Jantjies and most likely is going to have problems with van Aswegen. For the sake of the Stormers and their campaign this year - I hope for him to be ruled out o the game on Saturday If Jantjies is indeed replaced - I think the Stormers would have a 50-50 chance of winning the game.
