I don't know why Coetzee is so obsessed in having Brachie starting for WP. For me he has been the week link in the WP backline for the last couple of seasons. His passing has been extremely poor and normally pulls off a clever trick 1 in 10 times.

Now that Jean is injured, he has opted to select Brache ahead of JP Du Plessis who has been a revelation all season.

I just hope WP see the light soon and fire Coetzee, I don't the Stormers and WP fans can stand another dissapointing season of near misses.

Agreed, Coetzee has a history of poor selections. Brachie is at best solid, du Plessis and Howard are far better options.

His selection of the bog ordinary de Kock Steenkamp over Quinn Roux all season was a mistery, resulting in Roux moving to Ireland because of Coetzee's cock up. Other selection cock ups were Brok Harris ahead of Malherbe for most of the season - he seems to have now seen the light and selects Malherbe as first choice.

Brachie is not going to make it at Super 15 level and Coetzee has got it wrong again - in fact to me Du Plessis has been showing he i sa very dangerous punch runner.

Madness to let Roux go and also the outstanding Deon Fourie who I understand is also departing - best small flanker in SA by a county mile. I also think Ntubeni at hooker will flop at Super 15 level he is very small. I see he is playing hooker against the Lions. If he shapes there I will have to alter my opinion. My concern is our scrum he is very small. Livewire otherwise.

Snapster wha tyouare missing is that Harris is probably going to play loosehead where his mobility and ball skills etc will make him an asset. Very useful prop and I think will be better on the loosehead.

The Stormers nevertheles look to have a very useful squad so everything to play for next year.

WP – 15 Gio Aplon, 14 Gerhard van den Heever 13 Juan de Jongh, 12 Marcel Brache, 11 Bryan Habana, 10 Demetri Catrakilis, 9 Nic Groom, 8 Duane Vermeulen, 7 Don Armand, 6 Deon Fourie (c), 5 De Kock Steenkamp, 4 Eben Etzebeth, 3 Frans Malherbe, 2 Scarra Ntubeni, 1 Steven Kitshoff.
Subs: 16 Deon Carstens, 17 Brok Harris, 18 Wilhelm van der Sluys, 19 Jebb Sinclair, 20 Louis Schreuder, 21 Damian de Allende, 22 Joe Pietersen.

Jean out injured.

Why would you want to play the useless Harris at 1 when you have the impressive Kitshoff there?

Saffex

Agee with you in this case.   Coetzee has blown it massively and the Luons will beat that lot.   Brache and De Jongh - mist be the worst combination selection ever in the history of WP Rugby.
