According to Volksblad website, Coetzee has won 45 of 65 matches since taking charge of the Stormers in 2010 for a winning ratio of 69.23%

Will leave the rest of the article for those interested in reading it (look it up if interested)

South African Coaches records in Super Rugby

Allister Coetzee-won 45 out of 65 (69.23%)

Jake White won 22 out of 35 (62.86%)

Fran's Ludeke won 70 out of 116 (60.34%)

Johan Ackermann won 2 out of 5 (40%)

Baka Drotske won 28 of 88 (31.82%)

He may not have won the competition, but Stormers coach Allister Coetzee is statistically

The best of the South African coaches in Super Rugby.

Amazing how much stick he gets from many on this site.

Nienaber's defensive coaching is what achieved those records. So statistically, Nienaber, as per this article, would be the best coach.

My thoughts exactly. Coetzee is really is not a good coach. His selections are perturbing and his tactics weak. One cannot bank on winning a super 15 title by being excellent, via Nieaber, on one aspect of the game. This year will show how much he and his team have learnt. It is however a TOTAL disgrace due to race based selections that he gets the Stormers job ahead of Dr Brendon Venter for example.Lady MO(NH) you are being biased because you have personally met Allistair - who seems to be a very nice guy. Unfortunately he is not what the Stormers need. They need Dr Brendon Venter. Oh what a pity Mallet and Rassie walked out

I would also like to know what role Allistair has played in the exodus of players. Soem may have been unavoidable but could others be due to his not recognising talent?

Mallett and Rassie walking out on the Stormers made no difference. They were not better before the walked out. They were not worse after they walked out. Stormers players walked out before Rassie walked out as well. Talent got missed out on in Rassie and Mallett's time as well. The only difference when Rassie walked out was that the poaching from  the Cheetahs stopped.

Hi Beeno,I was just pointing out what the stats say.  Brendon Venter now he is a strange man, made a clown of himself over here at times but if they let Allister go who knows you could have the pleasure of him ha.

Rassie and Nienabar built the Stormers team. When Rassie left things have gradually down. Not sure about Alister, he may have just inherited a good team. One thing for sure is that the team is not as good as it was in 2009 and 2010. In 2009 it was a good attacking team, in 2010 and 2011, and then 2012 a brilliant defence. Now it pretty stagnant. The squad is not as good as it was with the loss of Bekker and Habana.

I Think Rassie and Mallet put a dam fine team together. They both worked on the youth structures. If you look at the quality players that Rassie brought in. Jacque Fourie, Bryan Habana. Vermeulen and van der heever. Which good players have Allistair brought in?
How many

Coetzee is just using the youth team which Rassie built. Then, he can't even hold on to the because allistair likes small players.
