One for DomMike........off Keo

Allister Coetzee will pick Elton Jantjies against the Rebels and finally give the Springbok flyhalf licence to play his natural game.

Jantjies has struggled in a Stormers system that rewards a defensive mindset but doesn’t accommodate an attacking one in which mistakes are part of the latter mindset.

Coetzee, talking to the Cape Times, conceded that the halfback pairing selected against the Waratahs did not work – and that the duo of Gary van Aswegen and Dewaldt Duvenhage kicked away too much ball.

Coetzee will go with Jantjies and scrumhalf Louis Schreuder as a starting combination for the first time.

The Stormers have to win every remaining match with a bonus point. It won’t happen but finally it has dawned on Coetzee that scoring tries is a must in this tournament.

The Stormers, with 17 tries, have scored the least. Even the Kings, with 21 tries, have scored more.

‘I had a chat with Graham Henry after the Blues game and he said it doesn’t bother him whethery they make 40 mistakes in a game, as long as they had 70 opportunities and they complete 50 percent of those. We are normally worried about the amount of mistakes and how many turnovers we concede,’ said Coetzee.

The Stormers coach added that the teams who have beaten them have had a higher error rate but they have also had a higher completion rate on opportunities created.

It seems as if something finally switched on and that we can expect the Stormers to at least allow Jantjies the freedom to play his own game and not just be a catch and offload link at No 10.

It is about time.

Ja, Coetzee turns... Coetzee turns round and round like a balarina with the same result.  Give the man (Jantjies) some more rope to hanghimself with..

Heck Allistair has to be told simple things like that!!

I look forward to seeing who he picks this time round.

Jantjies could as well win the game for us a lose it - that being the problem. I cant say the same about top flyhalves.

No man, have you not learned the shorthand version of your mother tongue?  Within the context of the piece you posted it is said that the layer does not adapt well to the current pattern of play at the Stormers,nê

Now read my comment again.  If Coetzee does not stop and smell the roses he will continiou to pick the player without changing the style and the player will hang himself.  Duidlik?

This is a real joke to be exact. Jantjies real game is knocking on balls, missing goal kicks and missing drop goals - coupled to extremely poor defence.   I think they are going to lose against the Rebels and that would be on the cards with Jantjies on Board.   I wonder what Coetzee will come up with next - he seems to lose it completely.

And Saffex the wierdo falls for that one.   Let me explain the situation factually:-

Van Aswegen   -     Handle Ball  :    22 Times

                               Kick              :      5 Times

                               Pass Ball     :      14 Times

Ran with ball  :      3 Times

Did not lose possession once - neither give away penalties

Duvenhage     -      Handle Ball :       56 Times

                               Kick            :        5 Times

                               Pass Ball    :      49 Times

Ran with ball :     3 Times

Between the two players they handled the ball 78 times and kick 10 times.   The Saffex duce will believe anything he reads and also now suddenly Coetzee is his hero.   What a comedian that one is.

I think that Coetzee lost it completely - a week ago Van Aswegen was his no 1 flyhalf - now it is the useless, putrid Jantjies.   Major loss against the Rebels coming up.   Jantjies is sure to knock on the ball or drop it in abject fear - when he sees Higginboham coming for him.

Good one yo-yo man, give us your take on Rene Ranger again please........that one takes the cake.

Oops, I wonder what has happened to v/Aswegen. Only a bloody idiot would retain v/Aswegen over Jantjies, but then again you are a bloody idiot yo-yo man

You are indeed weird.   Have yoiu seen all the games Ranger played in?   He was downright poor against the Stormers for one and very average in the other two games I mentioned.   In any event dunce - this is not the topic here.   Jantjies was atrocious in almost everything he did this year and the data provided about the so-clled too many kicks by the two players mentioned is tommy-cock - which you suddenly believe as gospel.

I would like to add that with Janjies and Schreuder,  Coetzee is desperate for a miracle - which will not happen.   A loss is on the cards - De Villiers cannot cover for defective defence by all of Jantjies, De Jongh and Aplon - so ta-ta Stormers.

Is Coetzee suddenly your new hero?

I would in fact hope he does play Jantjies - because that will show him up once again as extremely poor - so hold thumbs, mr commedian, that he comes up wih something worthwhile otherwise your wild opinions of players will be floored once more..

Good one yo-yo man, Ranger has been the form 13 of the comp but you are too bloody stupid to pick up on that.

Ranger has not had a single poor game.......this call is about as accurate as your take on any player be it Frans, JJ, Jordaan or Jantjies......in a nutshell you are too stupid to make any rugby call.

But please talk us through Ranger being on your yo-yo list.

As for Jantjies over v/Aswegen, your maid could have made that call you stupid ignorant prick

Calm down - you are having a problem reading and understanding things.   As for Jantjies you have produced a classic - he is as good as Lambie and better than Catrakillis.  You are really classic in coming up with that type of crap.

It is easy for you to do so - because you do not really understand rugby as a game.   I said Steyn was generally poor this year and facts confirm that - his defense was at times very poor,  he was far too slow for any position on the field because he was not fully matchfit and indeed overweight.   I have statistical proof that Jordaan had the best tackle stats of all 13.s in SA , but you concentrated on one of the only four tackles he missed during all the Super 15 games he played in and also ignore the fact that he beat Fruean twice in movements of the Sharks.   Only a completely ignorant fool will come up with that type of argument.  Engelbrecht had some good games - but also some atrocious defending lapses.  I give him credit for the good games and point out deficiencies - but you go on as if he is a glorious superhuman.

Once you start realising that rugby consists of various components - the main ones being attack and DEFENCE - and that one-off incidents are meaningless - a constructive discussion would be possible.   At this stage the insulting language you generally use if anyone differ from your points of view - indicates that you are incapable of proving your point of view through in a logical and consructive manner and are incapable of countering proven allegations of poor play.   The pedestal players you admire so much frequently fail to meet expectations and you are too ignorant to see that.

Your assessment of players are the worst on the internet - so I am quite happy with my assessment as a whole.   If any of the New Zealand members have commented on the Ranger issue - I would have accepted that I am wrong.  None did - so I am correct about him having had some less-than-good games.

As for Jantjies I only need to look at praise-singing from you and know he has been poor - no need to bother my maid with such a certainty.

Have fun - I am enjoying very much the comedian called Saffex.

Yo-yo man, your Ranger comments are poster defining.......they confirmed you know stuff all about rugby. But keep entertaining us. Ranger has been the best 13 in the S15 - FACT

Just one question - was the topic of discussion who was the best 13 in the competition - like you go on about now?   No it was NOT - it was looking at all the Super 15 games and indicating that Ranger had some very good games - but also some average ones.   And that was a FACT.  If I say he was a yo-yo player I merely referred to the variation in performances noticeable in some games.   Do you understand English now?

That is why none of the New Zealand members of this site differed from me - they relize it and accepted it.  But you apparently do not understand rugby at all hence your constant misintrpretation of performances.   Now learn to understand reality and don't make idiotic assumptions.

I gotta kind of agree with KF on this. Coetzee is basically throwing hospital passes to players by the way he selects them. Jantjies is a sitting duck out there with this gameplan. Not only that, 3 starting forwards are out.

Good luck, Elton.

No DomMike you thick prick, Sas, a Kiwi poster questioned your stupidity classifying Ranger as a yo-yo man. I am not sure why he questioned you for we all know how fucking stupid you are. It does not come as a shock that you label the best 13 in the comp as a yo-yo man - you are as thick as pigshit

Hell - ypu are a thick prick living in Egland and not understanding English at all.

Where the hell did I compare Rabger with othe outside centers - you invented that falsehood and then added more.  I raed Sasue's comments.  He did mention that ranger played at wing and not at 13 - he mentioned he had one linebreak - whay he did not mention is that he misseda rucial tackle.   The out-of position play was the reason for his average performance.   In inventing things that was never discussed is really disgusting.

Thickness - I referred to a number of games where Ranger had average performances and you are too thickto realise it and may never have seen or remembered the games  in which I said he was average in performance - namely the Chiefs and the Waratahs.   Just for your useless stupidity info I am quoting the ESPB stats in respect of those two games:-

Ranger 0/0 0 1/6/9 37 0 0 3 1 4/0 0/0 0 0/0 Ranger 0/0 0 0/2/4 43 1 4 0 2 5/0 0/0 1 0/0

In the Chiefs game he made 9 runs gaining 37 meters - an average of 4,11 meters per run - beating no defenders.   He made all four tackles he attempted.  A thoroughly aevrage performance.   In the Wratahs game he was better in attacking - but gave away a penalty that cost his team the game.   Hence my assessment of him being average.

I never compared him to other 13's in Super 15 - and you are indeed a liar of you allege that.   I merely said he was average in some games and good in others - but since you are clueless in player performance evaluation and know nothing about the topic -  I think it is better not to discuss that aspect of games with you.

Look dumbass, I know you struggle with the basics, at no point did I say you compared Ranger with any other 13 you thick prick. I said he was the best 13 in the comp.........that hardly qualifies him as a yo-yo player as you so ignorantly pointed out. Wake up you fucking idiot, you are making your name mud

Come on Mike, Ranger is a great player! No player has a man of the match performance in every game! I do agree with you regarding Frans, he is just not up to scratch this year. The Sharks should have conditioned him properly before including him in the side. He only started to regain form after he lost some weight and picked up his fitness levels.
