put one over Jake and his Brumbies. What really irritates me is that we have some losers who are so in love with Jake that they would prefer to see Jakes Brumbies beat one of our own - pretty sad bunch.

Come on the Lions, kick some Brumbie arse - tall ask though!!

Man these Lions are useless, how the hell did they ever win the CC?

A handful of good players and the rest are shit. The likes of Taute and co need to move on, as the Lions will hinder their progress

Saff, I have to agree with you mate, these Lions are an absolute disgrace to our rugby and they only lift against local opposition. That's what shits me the most about these guys.

Jantjies, Taute, Caleb Oosthuizen and even Josh Strauss should all move to decent franchises as they are wasting away at the Lions. Now, I'm already looking at the Kings (not doing so is farting against thunder) and want to know just which players are they having talks with for next year's debut. I guess they'll probably raid the Lions of players and go hunting the fringe players at the Sharktank. If they started talking to players already, then they on the right track. Who is going to be head coach, is it Alan Solomons or Cheeky? All gonna be very interesting.

Yeah come on Lions put one over on Jake.  Oops  they lost the script. Poor old Sappster I hope your batting average is higher in the law courts than on the rugby field. The Lions are a mediocre franchise with vastly overrated players like Strauss. Some were willing to make this guy Bok Captain....go figure!

But the Kings will be worse. They have the utterly useless Watson who, as always, will become the whole focus of everything they do. The better Lions players will find places with the four other S15 teams. The useless ones will join the hypocrites at the Queens.

But the good news is the Cheetahs will survive. They have produced many a great Bok and understand the need to keep ball in hand better than any other SA franchise. They deserved to avoid the Lions fate.

The big joke is Sapp, if the Lions had actually used Jake White, a RWC winner, instead of a RWC loser like Mitchell.....they'd still be playing S15 in the big city next year. Now you might as well turn out the lights.

Yes Moz, the big joke is Sapp who has a mighty high opinion of the Lions based on CC results. Anyone who knows anything about the game knows that CC rugby has proven itself to be a poor yardstick. Everyone of his heroes including Strauss, Jantjies and Taute have failed to replicate CC form in S15...his so called "class" players have been made to look ordinary. There's no sense blaming John Mitchell either, he's an excellent coach, but you might have point in saying that the Lions would have fared better under Jake rather than Mitchell.

Oh get real Moz, Mitchell is twice the coach Jake is. Hell the Lions have nothing to work with and somehow Mitchell managed to squeeze a CC cup out of them. Jake given his record would have done absolutely nothing with the Lions, much like his 50% odd stakes with the Brumbies right now.

Denise, there is no need to start lying, fabrication carries no weight? Kindly point out how you have managed to conclude that I have a high opinion of the Lions - is this just your usual stupidity shinning through!!!!

If you had any brains you would realise that its very difficult replicate any kind of form when you spend most of a match defending.......but saying that Strauss was again big in his efforts carrying the ball and defending, Taute scored a good try and Jantjies broke more in that match than Morne has done all season. One certainty is that Jantjies is a silky runner

A silky runner.....man that is an overused phrase. Last time you used that about a flyhalf, I bet it was about Pienaar.

But just for the record:

1) Jake won his only RWC.....Mitchell exited in the semis.

2) Jake is at a 56% win ratio and Mitchell is at a 11% win ratio in this S15. And with your huge support for Taute, Jantjies and Strauss you surely believe the Lions have better talent.

So your statement that Mitchell is "twice the coach Jake is" just doesn't compute does it? Their respective win ratios suggest Mitchell is one fifth the coach Jake is. Fact!

Moz 3 talented players in a Lions side does not constitue a side brimming with talent now does it, unless in your world 3 players constitute a side?

I'm not juding my take on the coaches based on this S15, I'm judging them overall. Wow Jake beat the Lions and is now up to 56%, all hail to Jake!!!

There is no doubting the fact that the Brumbies have far more talent at their disposal than the Lions - and you know it. There is no way in hell any coach could mould that lot into a side that challenged at S15 level.

Mitchell is a far better coach in my opinion and that will never change. I have seen enough from both to easily conclude that

You mean you watched all those Western Force matches? Here's some news ....hot off the press......a coach has to win to be succesful.  Mitchell has a losing record at international level going back all the way to 2003.

Um as NZ coach he won 23 tests, lost 4 and drew 1 - compare that to Jakes record as Bok coach - case closed. 82% win ratio vs Jake's 67%!!!

But lost in the semis with the best team at the 2003 RWC and was beaten by England at home in a huge humiliation. NZ always has a very high winning percentage but it's their performance in big games that counts. Mitchell never performed when it counted. Thus he lasted one season.

Moz one game does not define a coach, he has a far better test record than Jake and has the 4th best record as AB coach in their history - taking those that coached more than 10 tests.

It was 2 seasons as coach unless the AB played 28 tests in one season!!
