Comparision between to Equivalent RC tests played at the same Venue - 2015 and 2018

The 2015 test was played in Durban on 8 August 2015 - the 2018 test was played on 18 August 2018.  There was a major change in those two tests -

*   the 2015 test was the first RC test the Springboks ever lost on home soil against Argentina - the loss was by 12 points as against the 19 point win of the 2018 test;

*   the 2015 was the last RC test under Meyer and the 2018 test was the first RC test under Erasmus;

*   in the 2015 test the Springboks scored 3 tries - in the 2018 test they scored 6

*   in the 2015 test the Argentinians scored 4 tries against 3 in the 2018 test

*   there were no clear game plan in the 2015 test - but a very clear one yesterday in the 2018 test

This is the first test where a direct comparison can be made between the two coaches insofar as team performance is concerned.   The lack of the game plan under Meyer was evident and the way it effected players were  clear when taken into account the performance of three key players - who played in both tests - namely Etzebeth, Pollard and Le Roux.  All three was much better than they were in the 2015 test.  The only aspect was the kicking at goal by Pollard - he was very poor in that respect in the 2018 test.

Meyer's selections were a nightmare of impossible proportions.   He was set on playing over-the hill players and some of he weakest picks were amongst the players who were also involved in the Japan disaster in 2015.  On the other hand Erasmus was saddled by a virulent anti-white campaign by the ANC requiring a larger number of quota players than required from Meyer.   He made evaluated the performance of many players - something Myer was not interested in - and came up with enough players to meet requirements.   Indications are that most of the players he picked will soon establish themselves  as merit selections - not quota selections.   There are still some oor quota selections - ut the players he picked was vastly better than Meyer's quota selections.    

Immediately after the appointment of Erasmus as coach there were howls and lies on the site as it is unbelievable.   Erasmus was accused of deserting the teams he coached and that he was no proven coach  despite his reord as Director of Rugby of both the Stormers and Munster.   The Stormers while he was there - they performed well enough - the moment he became SA Director of Rugby, the Stormer team started a downward spiral.   In Munster the head coach died suddenly and Erasmus took over both responsibilities.

Is it not time that Mozart, AgainBSter and Pakie apologize on site for their slanderous posts on site as far as Erasmus is concerned?    

Meyer's Boks were playing a highly structured game. It was very similar to many elements of the New Zealand game. Just because you can't see it, doesn't mean it isn't there, or that nobody else can. The fact of the matter is that you don't understand what problems actually existed under Meyer. You look for certain names and construct a narrative based entirely on these predictable individuals. Then you turn to ESPN to see what numbers you can find. You'll add these into your narrative, like a Shaman concocting a deadly brew. If there are any details which on traditional your narrative, you'll omit these. When you are caught with your pants down (again) you slander whoever tore the veil of your treachery. If anyone has no game plan, it's you. Oh the irony.

What structured game are you talking about?   The NZ coach had a game plan - Meyer had none. That is why they constantly beat the Springboks with only one loss between 2012 and 2015.  Everybody saw what happened in tests and that is why the Springboks lost against Japan in 2015. 

What problems existed under Meyer dim one?   The worst problem was created by Meyer himself in his selection of players,   Was it not Meyer who stated publicly that SA do not have the skilled layers to play a ball-in-hand game?   So what was his so-called gam e plan insofar as backline players are concerned?

Nope, my comments about him through his entire tenure so far amounted to something like "let's see how he goes under pressure," after the flareup of optimism following the England tests.

Meyer went from 47 tries in 12 tests with Morné to a whitewash in the RC with the fan favourites. Damian and Kriel were heralded as the best centre pairing in world rugby for doing absolutely nothing. Then they get shown up in the world cup. If you are going to call Meyer stupid for his bad selections then at least admit you were wrong to back them too. 

Nobody was shown up in the WC - how can centers function if Burger was the stand-in flyhalf with the real flyhalf being passed less than a third of the balls the scrummies passed.   .

The test last year was not played in Durban - rugby deadhead.   Where are your honest response to the above?

Now lets get down to facts - Is what I wrote above facts or fiction as alleged by AgainBSter?     

Not interested - Coetzee was a total failure as coach - while you always supported Meyer who  ultimately failed as a coach as well.
