Compulsive liars are often seeking admiration and popularity....or manipulation and control.  Sometimes it's just a symptom of low self esteem. Whatever the cause Moronic is certainly a compulsive liar. His latest in a long list of lies is that   Morne Steyn kicks resulted in two AB tries in the 2013 test in NZ.

"In the one case he missed with a penalty given in the Springboks 22 and did not find touch - the AB's caught the ball on the halfway line, counter-attacked and scored a try.  The second penalty was awarded on the halfway line.  Morne promptly kicked it over the dead ball line and a scrum was formed on the halfway line - The AB's hooked the ball and the resultant attack ended up with another AB try".....says Moronic.

But watch the clip which gives extended highlights, including the full lead up to all the tries.... all the tries were from general play. Morne may have made two penalty errors but the tries have nothing to do with them....its another lie.

It also worth watching for the du Plessis incidents, a brutal Nonu charge on JdV and a superb Bok set move try off an exquisite Morne chip kick.

He even claimed  Adi Jacobs had a terrible test in the then TN, the only issue was Adi wasn't playing that day. Everybody on here is entitled to their own opinions, but not their own facts.
Moronic's  lying has long since ceased  being cute.

 F#ck wits
You watched the try scored from a scrum - but not what caused the scrum and then swears that what leads to the scrums you ignore.   You did not see the misfired penalty kicks and you never saw the following comment:-
10:49 - The All Blacks pile the pressure on the Springboks now, luckily some relief as the Boks win a penalty inside their own 22m area and Steyn boots it into All Black territory.

The above is from, the match report on Sport24  and the booting into All Black territory meant Morne did not find touch  - you bloody Village idiots.  It confirmed my one statement  in detail - Dofdose.
The biggest bloody liars on the site is now caught out again - how many times does that have to happen to expose them further?
They are quick to post lies on this site and quicker to quote stats when those favour their stance - but in the case of this test - the lies pour forth - but not the stats.   because the stats will prove that they are liars - hence the total disregard of the stats.
Incidentally - this whole liar thread started from another thread - where Mozart - the chief liar on this site - expressed an "opinion".  However, this opinion had no grounds and was a lie.  His unsubstantiated lies are always called "opinions" by him - but when they are repeated again and again as "opinions"  not based on facts at all - they are nothing but lies.

The one scrum was caused by Morne kicking a penalty kick over the dead ball line - Doffies.   That is what i clearly stated before - you deliberate liar.
Why don't you come up with you normal masterpiece when it supports your point of view  - namely the game day stats for Morne on that game?  Shall I tell you why - when it fits your book you ignore stats and if they proof you are wrong, they fall in the "ignore" category.

Thanks for confirming that you sucker. So you have two claims, let me deal with them.

1) So at  minute 52 you say there's a scrum on the halfway line because of a Morne penalty kicked dead :

" Morne promptly kicked it over the dead ball line and a scrum was formed on the halfway line - The AB's hooked the ball and the resultant attack ended up with another AB try"

But look at the score when that scrum was formed at minute 52....24 to 10 to the ABs. Then look at the score at minute 67.29 still 24 to 10. So are you saying there was a 15 minute build up all of which was supposedly caused by the supposed dead kick ....hahaha.

2) Morne supposedly missed touch when the match report said "Steyn boots it into the All Black 22".  I don't think that indicates a missed touch at all. But here's the more important point....that happened at minute 10.49, when the score was 7 to 3 to the ABs. At minute 21.00 the score was still 7 to 3.

Now I know you are as thick as a double baked brick, but hopefully you get the fact that in the one case 15 minutes of rugby was played, and in the other case 10 minutes of rugby was played after the supposed Morne mistakes and before points were scored.

Whatever Morne did and I can't tell from the abbreviated video or match report.....it had nothing to do with the ABs next points.

Stop lying you clown!

You are the one who really is the liar in this case and you had the audacity to call me a liar.  Fact is that Morne missed to find touch with two penalty kicks and what I said was that in a series of plays resulting from those misses the AB's ultimately scored tries.
That is factual - not the rubbish you try and manufacture to get out of the mess you landed yourself in by starting a thread based on disinformation and lies of your own.
I have asked you earlier - you accused me of being a liar when I said Morne messed up by missing to find touch in the case of two penalty kicks in the Eden Park test.  I mentioned what happened in the two cases and now the disinformation to try and prove me wrong flows like BS on this site.  Ultimately the factual information is not disputed, because your donkey brain could find no evidence to disprove it.
I challenged you to produce the stats of Morne in that test on this site.  It is very easy to prove that I lied in that case.  Messing up of penalty kicks are given as possession losses in such cases.   If Morne did not cause 2 possession losses I am guilty - if he did, I am right.   So why the disinformation and not the provision of the ESPNscrum stats in this case - dimwit?
In giving those stats - also give the site reference so that we can check whether you - as a proven manufacturer of disinformation - can be trusted in this case.  I have substantial reasons not to trust what you produced on this site and the same applies to the other two lapdogs of yours.

@Ou Maaikie. There is an Afr.ikaans expression: "Jy redeneer soos 'n passer. Al om jou gat". If that is the way to argue, i.e. that an action that leads to points against you 15 minutes after your mistake,is your fault, then you can also argue that a mistake by, let's say Goosen, in the second minute was the cause of points against us in the 25th minute. Correct?

 Ceradyne
I am talking of the series of plays by the AB's immediately after the mistake made - not 25 minutes later - that would be lunacy.
If the missed penalty line kick resulted in a counter-attack - then while that counter-attack is in progress a try is scored - even two minutes or three minutes later - the try stemmed from the original mistake made.  If the mistake resulted in a scrum and the opposing team won the ball and attacked the same principle applies.
There is no excuse for missing to find touch with a penalty kick - I players make that mistake - but when it in the case of a specific player happens regularly, then that becomes a tendency in that player.   In the case of Morne it happened 7 times in the nine tests before the Perth test - hence the statement that it is a tendency of his.
The other issue relates to relieving kicks from within the teams 22.  it happens constantly that the kicker does not find touch and it allows for a counter-attack in open play.  With some players it is a tendency - not only Morne Steyn.
Another way of handing over ball possession is if a play is outside of the 22 ball possession is handed on a platter to the opposing team if a ball is kicked directly into touch or over the dead ball line.   Morne is occasionally guilty of this - but the worst  player last year in Super 15 in that regard was Francois Steyn - he did it 28 times in 16 matches.
All the above relates to inaccuracy in kicking by players.  The worst example in SA last year was Francois Steyn - but Morne is not innocent either.  He only played in 3 tests last year as a starting player and two from the bench, but even in those cases problems occurred because of inaccuracy in his kicking game.
I have no problem with relieving kicking with the objective of allowing for a new start from a fully-formed line-out - but certainly have a problem when a relieving kick results in a quick line-out and a consequential counter-attack or in the case where touch is not found and the same happened.
I have a serious problem when it becomes a aimless kicking scenario.   Aimless kicking comprises of -
*   kicks to far ahead to prevent effective follow-up;*   kicks straight into the hands of opposing players;*   poorly directed kicks
SA flyhalfs may kick less than those of other countries - but the difference is that the kicks of other countries are purposeful and accurate - while in our case it is the exact opposite.  The two worst culprits in that regard are Morne and Francois Steyn - whose selections are based largely on the Boot only .

Morné is our best tactical kicking fly-half by a very long way; not only technically, but in his decision making. Your take on kicks are a complete fallacy that has been debunked a long time ago. And just for the record, Morné and Frans bring more to the table than the boot. Morné has the best pass of all of 10s. He is the only one who can send width of the field bullets off either hand, that is very important to how we like to attack. Frans is a very good distributor, particularly in contact. He is our only centre who can play the distribution game in contact. both have big boots yes but both a very good defenders. Both are calm and Frans is that special kind of player who seeks to dominant. Something so few of the next generation try to do.

Morne and tactical kicking is as far removed as the east is from the west.  He is one player who is robotic and his kicks are totally without objective and in the main poorly directed.  He is one player one can never accuse of being tactical in his kicking.
Now shall I ask you two simple questions about Morne and Francois Steyn:-
*   What other than good coal-kicking had Morne ever brought to the table.   He was so utterly predictable in play that the opposing players move into position to defend in advance of when Morne got the ball - since his attacking the gain line and varying his play was virtually non-existent.   If he is the good all-round player you claim he is - why is he not the first choice flyhalf of Stade Francais?
*   When Francois Steyn returned from France in 2012 I was delighted by the news - but became totally disillusioned by his subsequent performances.  Statistically Fransie was the worst attacking center at 12 (making only 2 line breaks and beating 8 defenders in 16 games and unlike any of the other centers never scoring a try), one of the worst defenders with a missed tackle ratio of 26% and the worst loser of ball possession in any backline in Super 15 (32 ball possession losses in 16 games) .   So what else does he brings to the table in your book?

Divert, shift shuffle.....lie. Between the alleged kick that missed touch and the next AB score ten minutes elapsed....and get this, Bismarck was yellow carded deep in the AB half.

But just before that yellow the ABs kicked off from their 22. So how, I ask with tears in my eyes, did the ABs kick off if possession hadn't changed?

So now we are expected to believe ten minutes of rugby, a yellow card and at least one possession change were all in a string of events that could be blamed on Morne. A compulsive liar.

The escape mechanism would not work.  You accused me about a lie on the score of Morne Steyn missing to find touch with two penalty kicks.   Now suddenly that fact is not important - the argument changed to whether the AB's scored tries as a consequence of Morne's bugger-ups.
The question is not when they scored the tries - but rather why they were able to put the Springboks under extreme pressure culminating in the scoring of the tries.
YOUR TOTAL THREAD WAS BASED ON LIES ON YOUR PART - AND THAT REMAINS A FACT.  YOU SAID i LIED ABOUT MORNE MISSING TO FIND TOUCH WITH PENALTY KICKS AND WHEN IT BECAME CLEAR  THAT YOU WERE THE LIAR IN THIS CASE - YOUR SNAKE-LIKE CONTORTIONS STARTED.   ADMIT THAT YOU HAVE BEEN WRONG FROM THE WORD GO ON THE ISSUE - AND YOU MAY JUST REDEEM YOURSELF FROM DISGRACE TO SOME EXTENT.

Compulsive lying is one thing. Compulsive needling and hounding another. Mike is not a compulsive liar, far from it. IMO he is a compassionate rugga fan that gets things wrong sometimes. Some things get lost in translation and sometimes he struggles to accept being wrong and tries to justify it. Sometimes he just blunders along. He has been rude, unreasonable and stupid at times, but so have we all. To be pedantic about it is plain silly.  Mike adds more to this board than he gets credit for. Each and every member plays their part to add to the bigger whole. This picking on him is getting stale. Yes, I know he is asking for it more often than not, but  the horse is long dead most of the time and constant flogging will have the SPCA on our backs sooner than later.

Draad, Michael is entitled to his opinion regardless of how tooty fruity they may be. Nobody is arguing the contrary, but there is a sinister side to him. He will single people out with personal attacks and has on numerous occassions cried to the Mod to get rid of people or tried to agitate mob behaviour. His lying doesn't bother me, I just see it as a good laugh. The attention he gets he brings on himself, and if we were the SS crew he would be getting much worse than a mild debate. Y ou know exactly what I'm talking about I'm sure. This isn't a case of him being bullied. It's a case of a weak attempt at bullying others being shutdown. I have been attacked personally by Mozart, Ceradyne and yourself many times and has not been the source of personal attacks at all.  They were always started by the three members mentioned and in the end I had no option but to respond in kind.  I am n0ot going to be intimidated by anybody and that is the reason for the personal attacks on me.  Why should I stay silent under such circumstances?
A few months ago I reached an agreement with Mozart not to indulge in personal attacks and I avoided breaking that agreement like the plague.   After four weeks Mozart started his personal attacks again and I repeatedly asked him to please keep to our agreement.  After another three weeks of pleading not to attack me personally, I finally gave up - realizing that nasty personal attacks are in integral part of Mozart's functioning on this site.  He cannot do without it.
Even though there was no such agreement with Ceradyne I tried to apply it and not get personal.   Despite my efforts to keep the peace on this site, his personal attacks ultimately forced me to rea pond to his idiocies
I often differ from other members on issues - but there are never any personal attacks and animosity  involved.    How come the personal attack scenario only involve three site members who constantly attack me personally in virtually every thread they write under.   I have deduced from that  that the only way the three members can deal with thorny issues they have no answer to is to mount a personal attack against the member who punch holes in their silly writings on this site.

Is there no end to their shenanigans on this site?
And then we have a case where Mozart when he started this thread and based it entirely on a LIE and then he has the audacity to say he wants to acquaint me with the the truth.  What utter rubbish.
Lets look at what started this thread.   On another thread he said that Morne Steyn failed to find touch with a penalty kick in the Perth test and when I said that it was fairly regular with Morne not finding touch with penalty kicks and mentioned the Eden Park test where he failed to find touch he said I am a liar.  That was not enough for him and he started a new thread accusing me of lieing about the issue.  It then turned out that it was the truth - Morne did miss finding touch on 2 occasions in the said test - that suddenly was not the issue.
If anything he should apologize in this case because he lied by starting this thread and that would be it.   Since he did not - he is in fact the compuulsive liar in this case.
