Confusion ....total utter confusion

Our plan was apparently to chip behind the defensive line. But when Jantjies came on that never happened and we are going to have to "look at why it didn't happen"???
Unbelievable. And now we have no idea what to do next?
This is what happens when you reinvent the game. It's always been simple for the Boks....kick to assure terrotory.....dominate the set pieces particularly the lineouts....defend viciously and attack with pace when the opportunity arises eg with turnover ball.
And we all recognize there is an opportunity to amp up our handling and offloading.....that is the chance to enhance our game. But when that becomes the focus and we lose what we have always done well.....then you lose against 14 ordinary Irish players.
We have a week to go back to our rugby roots.

 What roots are you talking about - donkey-kicking?  That in fact happened constantly with Jantjies and all the Irish did was running back and attack from the back.   They had one advantage - there was no loosies to help and the Irish retained the ball with ease every time.   That "roots" will not work - it is counter-productive.        

 Somebody should tell this boring repetitive fool whose every theory was blown up yesterday....that Jantjies ran 5 times,  passed 29 times and kicked a whopping 6 times, including clearance kicks out of his 22. But that won't shut him up, if yesterday didn't nothing will. 

The breakdown was where we lost it, the most important part of the game nowadays. 

 A wee while back I posted that the Boks should invest in a Brussouw type fetcher,  unfortunately Brussouw suffered an early injury in the 2011 RWC quarterfinal so we will never know what impact he would have had on that game. The point is that the Boks need to invest in a specialist fetcher, the idea of first to the breakdown has and will not work. I also pointed to the success the Ozzies enjoyed with Phil Waugh and George Smith and are having with Poc.kok as specialist fetchers.
And Moz, about the thick-skinned fool, I can't help but notice he follows your every word, it's nauseating and immature and you're doing well to ignore him. He must surely suffer a sad and boring life to make following your every word a favourite past time. One other poster has pissed him off, makes me wonder what more does it take before it registers with the Bonehead that he is of mere nuisance value.

 Yep I have pretty much put him on mute....nothing new to be discovered.

That is where we go wrong. The Bok coach has to have a choice of specialist fetchers to choose from. The absence of players with certain skill sets should not be the Bok coach' baby to fix. South African domestic sides have to develop and retain specialist fetchers. There are a number of things where AC moered off the bus this weekend but the fact that had players who cannot catch balls and do not have the ability to make good and early decisions is not AC's fault. These players have been involved in how many rounds of Super Rugby.. Surely they should have arrived at the Bok camp with all the skills necessary to beat an Irish team who were depleted even before they started the game, let alone after the red card. 
Our sides have been let down by the domestic coaches for ages. 

ABs moved away from specialist fetchers and made sure that all players can go for the turnover.

This is impossible - I asked Mozart a legitimate question and he went bananas.  That is really a situation where he invented theories about what I wrote in the past and then said my theories was blown out of the water.   I had no theories that was used - the same rubbish of Meyer and Coetzee when he was coach for the Stormers were in evidence on Saturday.   Go back and compare the lack of a proper game plan in tests last year and the lack of a game plan on Saturday and the evidence was clear.          

 Oh you poor thing......that naughty Mozart again Tsk Tsk Tsk. I wish he'd try a different fruit.

 JW is right ,look how McCaw transitioned from being a pure fetcher to linkman among his other skills ,the ABs 7 and 8 individually didnt have a turnover rate like Podork or Hooper. B ut the combined team stats were out in front as regards turn-overs.

 I have no argument re it works for the AB's and perhaps it's horses for courses but past history shows that the Boks have never dominated the breakdown with consistency.

There is no way on earth that a brand new back line will function anywhere near to optimal on it's first outing. There is nothing wrong with that line, granted I would prefer a couple of changes. I felt the forwards were very much to blame for a lot of what went down. Don't you think this is being blown slightly out of proportion. One or two less handling errors and it wpuld have been a different game. Those errors, for me, came as a result of players not knowing each other well enough yet. Malherbe playing the ball on the floor is a totally different story. And so is Lood running upright into a double tackle.

 Stay calm, don't  panic! Too many drastic changes at this stage will only make thinhs worse. 

 I'm arguing to stop the drastic changes and just play rugby. We can easily win on Saturday if we just remove all the baggage.
