i remember ceradyne attacking basque fan for not congratulating the sharks who were the better team when the crusaders lost to the sharks.
no surprises to hear the sounds of silence in full effect when the shoes on the other foot, after all its one rule for the saffas and another for everyone else.

The same Sasuke that says the Sharks win against the Crusaders earlier in the season was a fluke- not much of a congratulations when the shoe is on the other foot.

I have not heard anyone say that the Sharks deserved to win the semi final or that the Crusaders did not deserve to win the semi. 
The Sharks beat the Crusaders and Warratahs (both finalists) in the round phases, and pushed the Brumbies (the other semi finalist) for a close match in Canberra.The Sharks also beat the Auckland Blues who were one of the strongest teams at home in this years tournament. The Sharks also led the table for most of the tournament, and had the most successful international tour with 3 out of 4 wins. (This is hardly the odd lucky win). 

Bottom line is the Sharks are not as expansive as the other teams in the finals, however it would be hard to argue that the Sharks have not been the most physical team in 2014. The dip in form at the end of the season has been a bigger factor than the style of play. If the Sharks had not lost to the Stormers and Cheetas- it would be the Sharks hosting the semi and finals. 
Ask the poor Hurricanes about the physicality of the Sharks- they got slapped around so much in Durban, that they were all wishing they were married to Julian Savea. Mark Hammett actually asked the referee during half time if he could substitute his tight five with the Sharks cheerleaders. 
The Cheetas aside, the SA teams do need to work on improving their backline attack. The rolling mauls have not been as effective in 2014 as what they were in 2013 in scoring tries. 
However OZ/NZ struggle to stand up to the power of the SA forward packs- especially when the games are in SA. The Kings in their first season put together a forward pack that dominated many OZ teams especially. 
Rugby is about power and skill. SA teams have lots of power but their are issues with the skill level of the inside backs. When playing the Highlanders in the quarter final their forwards were easily beaten in the power stakes- but their back-line skills almost won the match for them. Or it could be said that the Sharks forwards won the game, but their lack of skills of the inside backs allmost lost the game. 
Some rugby fans like to watch the ball get thrown around, others like to watch a more physical tight contest. The SuperX has allways been the most open and expansive game on the world stage, but the defence and physicality is questioned by the Northern Hemisphere. If the Hurricanes played their style of rugby in a test match, they would be slaughtered.
