Morne Steyn made bloody sure that there is no competition for the All Blacks. _ wonder how much the AB's payed him to make that last of a strng of bugger-ups he already made this year?
I don't think after that sterling effort to make sure SA loses - he will not be there to support future AB efforts in games.

to be fair on morne though, his boot was a huge help vs the All Blacks in 2009.
that white wash was so huge in SA, it pretty much cemented mornes place for the next 4 years, lolz
it was bad news for the Boks though that they have never been able to do two importnat things, evolve their kicking game which once neutralised saw them eating the scraps from the All Blacks No1 table.
pollard like gossen and lambie are a bretah of fresh air from that stale 10 man game which is in SA rugby DNA, but compared to their kwii counterparts, they dont hold a candle.
but change wont come overnight, its a gradual process and the Boks should be where the All Blacks are now in 2040,,,,its justa pity that the All Blacks will be even furhter ahead by then,

Hey Naru Long time no Talk . Okay lets be real about SA Rugby for a sec. I know the SA Bloggers of the world "Cough" ahem Beeno "Cough . Choose to beleive when it comes to talent, SA players are the best rugby players on the planet, far better then those overrated cheating abs . But its a skewed, deluded point of view. When it comes to skill lvl, SA is know better then NZ, its pretty much equal. Difference why SA are not consistently beating NZ, is not because matches are heavily ref assisted. But they currently lack the mentle edge to compete with Nz. When it comes to the top lvl, its all about the top two inches. The Tennis Analogy of winning Two Sets is apt, as winning three duece points is pointless. As it means nothing if you cant make it count in the breakpoint. Problem for SA is not who is selected, but Mentally NZ have an edge. I kno alot well disagree on this site, but the rest of the Rugby Community just dont share the skewed views SA skill wise are so supeior, because at the top lvl its about precision, and no ones better at it then Nz and thats the difference between NZ skill set and talent. Might be a harsh truth but its true. SA need to beleive they can beat Nz. As for the RC i dont think its premature, if NZ win with a BP they well wrap it up, i beleive they well beat SA too, but argue away

@3IQ.
The Boks were unlucky to not win the Australian Test. If we had won, then the tournament would still be wide open.
The All Blacks drew against Australia and the 2 teams were equal.
Morne Steyn must take some blame for being stupid and not kicking the penalty out.
However the Boks again got 2 crap decisions by the referee. 2 penalties and one yellow card for F all. The same thing happened against Bismaark last year- a yellow card that was expunged but still meant the Boks had to play with 14 men.
The IRB announced a couple of days after the match that the refereeing system is going to be reviewed in light of the recent errors. When matches are very close, these mistakes can influence the outcome
The Australia vs the All Blacks was very close and could have gone either way. If the All Blacks had to play the end of the game with 14 men, then they may well have lost.
Mccaw got away with a high tackle/shoulder charge. It happened quickly to see if it was certainly a shoulder charge, however their is no doubt it was high as he tackle the neck area of Louw. Some how I think if an SA player had made this tackle and the crowd started jeering if it was an illegal tackle, the Boks would have got a yellow card.
It seems the referee's are not referring enough to the TV ref- and referees seem to get influenced by local crowds. When Carter went down the crowd acted like it was foul play, and ref did not even bother to check with the TV referee. If I recall the touch judge said the tackle was fine.
At least the IRB admit their are issues with the interpretations of the referee.
The Boks got a bonus point against the All Blacks, and could have beaten Australia.
The competition has ended prematurely.
If the Boks beat the All Blacks by more than 4 points, or even more than 7 points- they will beat the head to head Boks vs ABS scores.

Looks like we'll have to do it without Cruden tho lmfao.
22 Sept 2014, 07:07#10
Lol so Louwe has poor technique nd gets cleanded out by Richie suddenly its richie fault. Its a physical sport it happens. Yes i kno Sa hv close losses, but thats my point they hvnt closed them out, lack of mentle edge ( yes i kno reffering decisions have contribute).

Sharkbok a more bent set up would be hard to find. Get the jarpies is alive and well.Mccaaaaaaw should have been carded and the wee abs beaten at home. But again we wuz robbed. It's old hat.Now the dronkie kbbs need to have it explained in detail why the yellow was warranted - naru the saSUE thinks the abs won on merit. Bwahahahaha The abs are a pap side and should never even have scored a single try but for two players being down with injury. One through mcaaaws illegal tackle.
If mcaaaw wasn't so useless I would be calling for him to face a disciplinary committee. The pap Abs are there for the taking.
22 Sept 2014, 14:50#13
Just remember Hasbeeno; 51 wins for the ABs and 34 to the Boks. Ouch baby, that's gotta hurt....
22 Sept 2014, 15:16#14
Boks were unlucky not to beat the Aussies and even more unlucky the week following against the AB's. Have a look at the last line out SA has. Matfield taps it back..That was always gona be a catch and drive but Matfields right arm is pulled down (by Retallick I think) and this prevents him being able to catch the ball in the air so he is forced to tap it back..No penalty?? Ref miss that one??
Then some silly play by Hougaard to go right to Lood De Jager (the worst lock to ever don the green and gold) which sums up Hougaards ability to read the game from the base of a ruck. Should have slowed it down, set up a pod and go to work or play it left to Marcel VD Merwe running on in a low body position.
Then the touch judge (whom is clearly right on the spot) gives SA the lineout ruling that Lood got rid of it before crossing the touch line and it was played into touch by Barrett and the ref casually just over rules his AR and changes the call?? On such things are test matches won and lost and I would have liked to see the AR come on and tell the ref, "listen boet, I was on the spot, I feel that the green player got rid of it and black has taken it out. Lets review on the big screen.." Game changing call...
Boks were better all night but like every other occasion befoe, we score 1 great try then stop playing that rugby that got us the try?? Its simple really..This AB team doesnt know how to lose and this Bok team doesnt know how to win! They have gota learn to close these games out..Just like we should have in 2012 in Dunedin.. We often play better rugby but just can not close out a game! Our own worst enemy.

really? the last lineout? and this would have changed the result of the whole game? c'mon............

And McCaw's charge is totally legal.
In this first video you can see how Louw was bended forwards. In this position it's impossible that McCaw could hit Louw's neck, his head is covering it. The only possible places to hit are the head or the shoulders and upper part of the body.
In the second video you can see that the hit is not in Louw's head, otherwise the head and the rest of his body would have gone backwards. Instead his head went upwards so the hit was made on Louw's shoulder and upper part of the chest.
In the moment of the hit McCaw has already his arm in contact with Louw's body.
And when the hit finished McCaw had his arm over his shoulder which means that McCaw made the correct movement with his arm and accompanyed the hit with it.
That was a perfectly legal charge. Stop crying, please

That's a high charge :
That was a hit with the shoulder in McCaw's face. Yellow card that wasn't showed last year at Ellis park. So you are very wrong, Sharkbok, when you said:
"Some how I think if an SA player had made this tackle ... the Boks would have got a
yellow card."

The tackle that Beast does is pretty much the same as what Mccaw does on Louw.
It was more of a push back as it was done from an allmost stationary position, where as Mccaw tackled when running in at full speed.
The All Blacks were awarded a penalty, but the Boks got nothing.

No, man, it's not "pretty much the same".
Mtawarira's charge is high, it's made on his face!!!! and deserving a yellow card which wasn't showed.
McCaw's charge is legal, it was made on Louw's shoulder, nothing wrong with the ref's call.

Both of these incidents look very similar.
Mccaw clearly hits Louw with his left shoulder before turning to face Louw directly. Beast hits Mccaw in the chest with his right shoulder and then pushes his chest with both hands.
In both cases the tackling player clearing out uses their shoulder, and then turns to directly face the tackled player.
In both cases, the player that gets pushed- their head comes forward in reaction to their body going backwards in a whiplash movement. Their bodies spasm after being hit, and this results in their heads coming forward and making contact with the tackler

Pause this video just before Mccaw makes contact, he is tackling the neck area of Louw. His left arm is flat at his side, and his right hand is above the head of Louw

and McCaw "is tackling the neck area of Louw". o_O
and what else?

Louw is bended forwards , it's completely impossible that McCaw could hit his neck, impossible.

Sharkbok its useless trying to point out the problems to the one eyed ab ass.
Draad I for one will not be congratulating the abs. A ref engineered loss against Oz and a loss againt NZ that should never have happened as all can see.
It's all making a farce of the game. These kbbs are very happy with what goes on. They do however suddenly recognise when the Boks get shafted against Oz - but never when the Boks get shafted when playing against the abs. Bwahhahahahahahaha
Beeno nailing the kbbs.

@boklogic,
did I insult you?
One thing is a 5m. lineout and another one very, but very, different is a try. From the last 10 or more lineouts thrown by the boks in the 22 area only 1 finished in a try ( the last bok try through a rolling maul was last year at Eden Park, Bismark). In all the others the AB pack pushed the bok pack backwards.
So how do you consider that a lineout is directly a try? there are at least 10 times more possibilities that the lineout ends up in nothing.
And that was never "gona be a catch and drive" since Matfield jumped with one arm.
In the best of the cases for the boks it would be a penalty, but it's very disputable that there was one (I don't think so even if Read contacted Matfield's shoulder).
And the best placed to see if there was a penalty or not was the ref. He had the best view possible, a lot more better that what was seen on TV.
