You made me very proud to be a Lions man. 
Such a pity that the match was to be dictated by the elements ... but on a positive note ... I'm sure you guys came away with yet another lesson ... something that you can draw upon later in your careers.
No doubt a hearty congrats must go out to the Hurricanes.  You guys had a awesome season and deserve to be the Champs.

Perhaps the finals could be held in the USA or another country like England- to make the game more neutral. Twickenham has lots of Southern hemisphere exports from SA, OZ and NZ.
If the final is not a local derby- the travelling team is always going to have a disadvantage

 I think a home final on a rotational basis is fine, the travel is the killer. The whole playoff segment should be played over two weeks in one host country.
