try very hard to be happy that the bulle, under that astute coach Mitchell, beat the high flying Jaguares.

One would have thought that the bulle had been beaten by 100 points.

Seems like the anti Mitchell brigade were incensed that the Bulle over turned their unfounded narrative that Mitchell is a useless coach.. Hahahaahhahahahahahahahahahaha

Their extreme views on Mitchell reveal a lack of mature judgement. They need now to admit they were wrong, having failed again to take note of Beeno's guidance.

Give Mitch ell a fair chance oaks!

Ever heard the expression: “One swallow does not a summer make, nor one fine day”? Losing 6 games out 15? Three of those in their own back yard?

Ever heard you are as good as your last match windpomp. The g ive away is the sadness relating to the bulle win. Heck i was much more excited than you - a bulle supporter or supposedly one. And we all know the reason. This outstanding Bulle win gave the lie to Mitchell being a useless coach. Hahhahahahahaha how the oaks give themselves away.

Hope Owen Meany celebrated the win, at least he is a genuine Bulle supporter!

Beeno

Don't worry about the Dunce.  Mozart is against all Kiwi coaches in SA as he cannot understand their game plan.   So his minions must really be what they are - ass lickers of Mozart.

@Beeno. You get true supporters and you get blind followers. A blind follower never see or acknowledge when things go wrong or are not as they appear to be. They just close their eyes and tell themselves that things are just great and whenever things go wrong, they find something or somebody to blame. Or as they say in Afrikaans: Kyk Noord en fok voort.

Clever Mike you can't understand their gameplay. Your technical analysis gave us this:

1.New Zealand defended with a standard defence

2.The Boks attacked from "all angles"

3.No ball given to loosies so it wasn't a defensive game

I asked you some questions about set plays and different kinds of alignment and patterns and phases and you said these were stupid and unimportant questions. It doesn't matter what kind of tackle was used, or how the defenders linked together. To heck with what anyone in the game knows or thought they know, Clever Mike has it written in stone like Moses. You can't refute this stuff. Because we are doff/worthless/dunces/duds/idiots/slobs etc. Clever Mike is where it's at

Clever Mike you are unbelievable. I can't believe you really exist. Credit to you for being unique.

For some....in the words of Andre Agassi....image is everything. This perfectly ordinary NZ coach with a terrible record stands there with his kaal kop and suit looking into the distance, and some okes are sure great thoughts are happening.

So the Bulls being 12th out of 15 is something to be celebrated? Look, I remain hopeful about Mitchell, because there are one or two encouraging signs, but the reality is, his coaching CV simply gives no reason to expect anything more than the Bulls have already achieved .

Mitchell needs to have a talent superiority. If he doesn't have that then he can't give the team a coaching advantage.

Technically he is a good coach but has zero peoples skills, which is the most important skill required in every form of tutoring...he blows hot and cold and has an unbalanced personality...jeckle and hyde... something similar to that present uncouth Australian coach.

Players cannot respect him...he's like a third rate s.o.b. sergeant major. There's a way to lead by example and self control...it's the prerequisite of any teaching skill...at school the best teachers (school masters) were the not necessary the best academics but strong patient men with an ability to communicate and inspire...like the late Skonk Nicholson famous rugby coach of Maritzburg College, who's rated by rugby players as the best SA school coach ever.

There's a lot to being a coach. It isn't easy and it's easy for us to say how stupid they are etc. These guys know the x's and o's of rugby better than any of us. Even Coetzee and Peter and Straeuli. Guys like Mitchell can't put it all together. A philosophy and working with people. Everything can work but can you implement it? He can't. He doesn't get the culture and is too much trying to create an ideal instead of using what he has. Every coach has limitations in their squad. Even with a super squad All Black team he failed. Blaming his players is a serious red flag. Its not bad to think it, all coaches question their team and themselves at points but to say that is something else. This guy can't be trusted. He will never help.

In defence of those who had/have hope for Mitch...

He is said to have put the Lions team together and set the roadmap for how they were to play.

Some here have in the past said that Akkers doesn't deserve much credit since he took over what Mitch started. Bollocks in my book but anyway.

My feels is that there are a few bad apples at the Bulls. A few too many.

Anyone notice which big name player is normally missing when they play well?

Hint - He didn't play on Saturday either.

Anyway, most here called it when we said the Lions would top the conference and the Stormers would probably finish last. Some just thought the Bulls would win one or two games more than they have.

The Sharks were the dark horse and probably more of a disappointment than the Bulls have been. Du Preez's had two years with them now and they looked promising at moments last year but don't seem to have built on it much.

All in all, no massive surprises.

it appears that some oaks here cant celebrate the big improvement we saw in the Bulle's standard of play. They cant celebrate what was a magnificent fight back after a rickety start. They cant celebrate the character the side showed; the skills etc -  in fact they  they appear to be most put out and all because the win reflects well upon the team and of course Mitchell!  Hahahahahahahahahaha hilarious how they give themselves away so completely.

This is a case study of have agendas effect judgement. Bwahahhahahaahahha The oaks are losing the very few marbles they have!!!

Ou Sebs "analysis" is side splitting stuff.

The one conclusion we can draw from all of this is that a poor New Zealand coach is still a lot better than the best Yarpie coaches.

Car Mat, our best coaches are often not being used. EG Jake, Venter, Mallet etc. Ackermann did well and  now he is overseas.

More froth and no substance from poor Car Mat!

old crust, Mitchell has come here and done hi s best for our rugby. Hence far be it for me to act i what would clearly be a churlish manner towards Mitchell without real reason. Would be nice if some oaks here upped their lowbrow game and followed my excellent example!

Beeno why does Mitchell get special treatment, all our teams go over there and show you how to play rugby and you are always on their back.

I think you should be grateful that vastly superior players are considerate enough to show your hacks what to do

Bob  no doubt there are very few mooi meisies in kiwiland so Mitchell saw a big opportunity and is doing his best to that front as well. Given the fate that awaited him in kiwiland no fair minded person can possibly blame him!

Car Mat you ignorance about coaches is really showing oak!

Old crust fan your coaches unfortunately, although good at coaching skills are best in world when it comes to coaching illegal play.

Mitchell has imbibed the honest South African ways by now it would appear. Look at the fine foundational work he did for the Lions! Because he was imposing a excellent work ethic on the player and taking no nonsense from primadonas he was fired. The same thing happened to the world renowned coach Jake White. He tried to whip the lazy surf loving amateurs at the Sharks into shape and ou lardy John Smit, who eschewed hard training at the best of times, fired him. Now even the dumbest of oaks here should be able to connect the dots. Hahahahahhaahhahahaha

No its pretty obvious the EGG landed on the anti Mitchell brigade after a tremendous bulle victory over the Jaguares, a test side who went down under and won all their games. How embarrassing for these EGG MAGNETS!!!

Ka mate

Don't believe the BS of some members above.   One wrote about Mitchell having poor HR and is consequently not a useful coach     But he does not realize that White has worse HR - yet he praises him as a coach.

We had a lot of disasters as coaches since 2000.   White was the best of them - even though he was a typical sergeant major - the rest was not worthy of being coaching school teams.   I rate any NZ coaches higher than the disasters like Ludeke, Gold, Fleck and Marais - just to name a few of the more recent coaches.

I do not necessarily rate Mitchell is a top class coach = but he is a hell of a lot better than the rubbish which preceded him as coach of the Bulls.

A 'class act' but not a 'top class coach' The lies, the lies, the lies, the lies, the lies, the lies......ad infinitum.
