The IPL bidding to get players contracted took place today. Thee were some real winners in the bidding stakes for some SA players for the six weeks tournament.
Jakkus was contracted with Kolkatta for $971 000 0 he was with them last year as well. Faf du Plessis will be paid $732 000 and JP Duminy $366 000.
The lucky youngster is Quinton de Kock - last year he was not bidden on and went to Hyderabad for $20 000. Thus year Delhi bought him for $533 000. At present exchange rate it is about R5 500 000 for a six weeks tournament. Nicely done = he deserves it and is clearly going places.
