Cruden shows how not to take contact

 True that , much as I hated how good Larkham was when playing his best against the ABS !

 I'm downloading the game now and will get to enjoy it again Glad Cruden had a good game he answered his critics. Barrett did a good job also, plenty of depth at 10.

 alot of people dont realise how much larkham had everyone practice their moves set... literally to inch perfection! he knew where everyone was going to be so when he hit the face of the defensive wall he knew exactly what his options were and he nailed it. watch how crotty works with cruden and the other players. when you watch the game again slow it down and pause just before cruden passes. look at the players around him and how they work in tandem. next time you watch the boks do the same thing. when morne stands flat often times the support is standed flat footed two metres behind him in a line ball watching. . if you want to play pflat you have to have everyone hit the line at pace and with the 10., especially your 12! you cant stand to wide either. its a more condensed style of attack. not to be done all the time but when the opportunity calls for it, usually when on the front foot in the red zone.

 Yeah, good post...SL certainly knew how to do it and completely in tune with his fellow players and Crudens initiative and fine tuned attack...what a change from simpleton rugby.

That is also a lesson in how not to initiate contact from a defenders point of view. What the f was Beale doing here. He could have gone in hard and cut Cruden in two. Cruden should go into real estate. He sold the one dummy to three defenders.

 Thanks for tge clip hakwa it shiws ectly what ive been saying. now hiw many runners does morne having luke that around him? only really habana to be honest. theres more but i cant be bothered to splice videos to illustrate it myself. that right there is the problem.

 ...Gonzo what you've omitted  to mention is Cruden's two handed carry out front that keeps the opposition guessing...is he going to sidestep, pass inside or outside , cut out pass , dummy, kick long, chip kick,  grubber kick ?? - haha you are witnessing a master at work here ....always keeps the opposition in two minds  - a great technique for young players to emulate ..

 Brycy it is a good technique but the Aus defence here is rattled. No one needed to guess what he was going to do he just should have been flattened. Shows the Aus state of mind in this game as much as anything.
