I believe I was the only member who constanly said that the Chiefs would win this one. This game was a mess and although it had its moments of good rugby - Williams was in that respexct outstanding - the game was full of basic errors and penalties galore for iffy play. Some players were more interested in personal altercation - than the game of rugby.
I must admit I constantly said the Crusaders are not the team they used to be. I think that my point was proven today. I advised SASUE not to put a cent on them - the signs were out that they play an error-prone game and their defence today was iffy. Again a case of them scoring only one try against the opposition's 2 tries.
Now lets look forward to the final - whomsoever it is going to be against. The Chiefs have a couple of serious nigtmares in their game plan - their line-outs are a lottery - they lost a number of them today. Their scrummaging is also not the best. The only advantage they actually had against the Crusaders was less loose balls on the field of play. I still think that in the final the Chiefs can be easily beaten because of weak lin ks in their game. If they have to travel to Newlands it would be a further handicap for them. If they have to play against the Sharks in Hamilton - one can only hope that Jordaan, Lambie and Du Toit can play - but despite the trip the Sharks can handle them and beat them.
