Crusaders vs Chiefs, Cheetahs vs Bulls - which was the more entertaining match?

Crusaders vs Chiefs did it for me. Tries were actually scored during the match.

I am not strangly silent about the issue at all.   

Let me explain.  The Crusaders-Chiefs game was played in good weather conditions - the Cheetahs - Bulls game in a rainstorm.  The latter makes ball handling way more difficult than it should have been in normal conditions and cuts out the possibility of the natural game of the Cheetahs in playing a free flowing game.

Let me assess the situation objectively. 

First of all the tries stemmed really from putrid defence and poor ball handling by the both sides in the Crusaders - Chiefs game.  The scoring of two of the tries was not what you expect from teams portraying solid defence at all.   The third try was the result of an intercept and really a poor example of ball handling by the Crusaders.

The Crusaders - Chiefs game was marred by poor ball handling by both sides and a record number of penalties given away by both sides. Kicking at goal was poor on especially the part of the Crusaders.  

Given the circumstances -

*   from a entertainment point of view the Crusaders-Chiefs game was more interesting to watch; but

*   from a professional point of view - the Cheetahs-Bulls game was better,  especially bearing in mind the problematic conditions the game was played in. 

I rate poor defence and poor ball handling as especially bad and there was plenty of that in the Crusaders - Chiefs game - in fact way too many to make the game in any way a good performance game at all. 

We better check the weather forcast for the Brumbies v Reds game then. Or is the weather only a factor for the snail-like SA teams, lol

Do you really believe that weather does not influence patterns of play of teams?  It does and one of the worst games I saw last year was when the Chefs and Blues met in similar conditions.   The only difference between that fame and the one last night was that the Cheetahs and Bulls made less errors than was dished up by the two NZ teams mentioned. 

However, you missed the point entirely.   The Crusaders-Chiefs game was what I would call real bullshit dressed up as rugby.   I said it before - if I was a spectator I would ask for my money back.   Does 3 tries - the result of putrid defence and poor ball skills - for instance make up for the 22 penalties conceded by both sides and the constant ball-handling errors made?   The answer is a definite NO.

I just finished watching the Highlanders- Blues game and I believe that it was really entertaining and a pleasure to watch.   There were skills problems on both sides as well - but nothing compared to the rubbish dished up by the Crusaders and Chiefs yesterday.

I did and you are both wrong AGAIN.   When will I ever teach you two anything about Rugby?    

 Brumbies threw the game away. They had in all in their hands in the last 20 or so minutes but did not take penalties, the one they finally took they missed. So  many opportunites lost.

But the Reds played well & they deserved their win. Congrats to them & their fans!

Slipper did pretty good for my in Fantasy rugby too I have five starting players that haven't played yet so looking to make a late surge to the top, lol Hope I do a better job than the Brumbies surge

 Hi Wardad, in FF I am in my usual place - middle of the pack. I think I started really badly in round 1 last year so there is plenty of time to recover.

I have to change my "selection policy", lol  Take some risks, low cost players on the bench & pick more of the big points earners with all the left over cash.

Round 1 was interesting because we had to pick SA players so I had to learn a bit about them. Cruz is doing great & showing his kids up too, lol
