Currie Cup final
The professional era ruined much. I remember watching club rugby on the TV on a Saturday, Danie Gerber playing for Despatch. Doubt the Currie Cup right now even has as much clout as club rugby had in the old days.
There used to be an annual club rugby competition over Easter weekend and the rugby played was mosly top class for the amateur era with highlighting on individual players. Team performnces in general was what the Provicnes at the time played in CC matches,
The t eam performances those days were generally based on -
* the comprehensive 15 man game played by the WP ; and
* the 10 man game plan used by the Bulls,
It changed into a 10 man-game played by the Springboks in te matches since 1992 with a change when Mallett inherited a funcional team from Du Plessis in 1997 and won 15 matches n a ow - bu became undone when Mallett failed to ind repacement players, but was back to the 10 man game from 2004 to 2018.
In 2018 Erasmus started to chang he game plan and was disrupted in 2022 and 2023 due to in he main player injuries - but s now back on ack again. None f the top CC teams are playing 10 man rugbby anymore - neither does he franchises playing on URC level. . .
Mampara power wake up boet. The Boks of course use forward power. Why not use what you have.
But what you miss mampara power is how well our attack and the backs are doing.
You have a mozzietard type of blind spot. Get real mampara power!
