Currie cup semis half empty stadiums

This is just a follow on a thread that Saffex started last week, but I have to point out that the Sharktank was not even nearly half full for a Currie cup SEMI-FINAL!

Rugby is driven by money in the modern era, and i am starting to wonder if the Currie Cup is even financially sustainable? There is just too much top level rugby and that is starting to render the Currie Cup insignificant!

Is this the beginning of the end?

I think part of the problem at Kings Park was the weather - we had a week of lots of rain and unpleasant weather in Durban - it may have turned people away from attendance.   However, the attendance at Newlands were tops and will be again so for the final.
