Curwin Bosch

Needless to say, he demonstrated he is a much better rugby player than Robert Dupreez.

Dick Muir left the Sharks because of Senior Robert Dupreez selecting Junior ahead of Bosch. Tony Watson recently said that it is ridiculous that junior was selected ahead of Bosch.

Bosch may even be leaving to the Stormers because of lack of game time. 

Pollard is by far the best flyhalf, followed by Jantjies and Bosch. The rest are weak.

If Robert Dupreez Junior is selected ahead of him again this season - it is time to fire Senior Robert Dupreez.

I thought he was okay at flyhalf, can't say I got excited about his performance. Better than anything Robert's produced this season though.

Sure playing in SA.   I would rate both Van der Walt (Edinburgh) and Goosen (Mntpellier) better flyhalfs than Jantjies.  

I'm more inclined to wait and see how Bosch progresses in his new role, judging his performance on last night's game is premature, sure he had a good game but I can tell you that it was an ordinary game by two ordinary teams. Pedestrian as a matter of fact. At no stage was Bosch put under any pressure by a toothless 'Tah defence.

Reasonable comments from you guys but my gut feelings is that Curwin is a rugby star in the making...his talents are exceptionable and we must be wise how we utilise him...yes I think keep him at 10 for the next couple of games and see how that developes. We must give him more time, space and freedom to develope his own style and initiative...he is a player that cannot be cloned and steriotyped into a role. We've done that too often with young utility players in the past and forced these type of creative players to play conventional "Morne Steyn" style of play.

I think people often misread situations when it comes top players.   The players often are -

*   injury prone and not reliable  for selection;

*   maligned based on personal prejudice; and

*   ignored because of the nasty quota system.

I try and follow NH rugby and has seen for years how players progress,   Although Van der Walt was a good flyhalf - he was ignored  by the Lions so he rarely played on Super Rugby level.    He went to Edinburgh and really showed his promise as a player.   He was part of the SA players that took Edinburgh to the European Champions Cup.   I saw some of their matches in both that competition and he showed more in one match than Jantjies did for a year.

Goosen is not acceptable by many members on site,  but  -

*    in 2016   he was the Player of the Year in Top 14 rugby in France; and

*    after he breached contract with Racing Metro his contract was bought out by  Montpellier and he became their first choice flyhalf ahead of  Aaron Cruden and Francois Steyn.

If he was so bad why did Montpellier pay Racing Euro 1,5 million to take over his contract?  Why is he one of the highest paid SA players in France?  I do not think the club owners and coaches in France  are utter fools to buy out his cointract and pay him extremely well for his services,

I think that Goosen at his worst is still better than Jantjies at his best.   Can you believe it?   Jantjies made 7 tackles yesterday and missed 6 -  almost on par with Morne making 8 tackles and missing 7 in the Perth test in 2014.   One has every right to  call Jantjies a defensive sieve.   

I have seen the tests in 2017 when he was one of the few players who scored tries for the Springboks and he was rather injury free since 2016 - other than one recently.   He is a far better player than the Morne- supporting Sheisters on site give him credit for.
