DA - Garcia's left hook...
Boxing falls under Other Sports - not under rugby.
Yes, because rugby is so exciting right!
We had better not take up valuable space.
Yeah Plum, knocked Haney down 3 times..... man, that was a fight
Garcia has said that he would rematch Davis, but only at a catchweight because he himself is moving up to 147.
Ryan said his body just cannot keep making weight at 140, so he is definitely moving up and would like to fight Tank again, but higher up.
When he fought Tank there was that rehydration clause which has a huge impact on one's performance, but higher up and he won't have that issue.
How that ref deducted one point from Garcia without any prior warnings was just ridiculous, and how Haney never got docked a point for the constant hugging and hanging on is also crazy
Lol Haney looked like a drunk person hanging onto a bus stop at one point.
I think the deduction was fine though, since that type of offence doesn't usually get a warning. It's normally a straight deduction. Saying that, the ref seemed to be giving Haney too much time to recover at moments.
The left hook in the first round though!!! Haney was scared of it for the rest for the fight. His face in slow-mo after he eats that shot, those eyes got very big. To be fair, he knew that shot is Garcia's bread and butter so was likely hyper focused on it, and to still be caught with it must be a bit terrifying, especially that early in the fight and with that much power.
I do think Garcia got a little bit too wild at times where some composure may have seen him put Haney away more clinically . He had him right there and then let him off the hook by getting in too close and throwing a bunch of soft wild shots.
I think Tank would struggle if he moves up. But nobody has ever really bothered him, so maybe he'll be up for the challenge. I do find it crazy that with so many boxers around, there is always talk about guys moving up and down weights. Like Canelo going up to LHW...I mean, what the hell, he's 173cm!?
But yeah, fight of 2024 so far. And it's the result I wanted.
Roll on August for Dricus vs Izzy!!!
Yep, Izzy will keep a distance and strike from the outside.... especially with his kicks....but Dricus will get inside and make it ugly, just like he always does, and don't be surprised to see Dricus attempt to take it to the ground numerous times.
Yep, fully agreed
