1st Half

00:12 - A6 and A3 form a front that ropes in the interior defence who rush hard and fast. A6 receives ball as first receiver and passes behind A3 to A12 who runs laterally before passing to A1 for a big hit-up into S12. A1 runs out then in and is much to strong for S12 to stop. It takes A6 to put A1 to ground. S12 spun around in the tackle merely holding A1 with little to no meaningful impact.

01:39 - AUS L/O; Bok Territory: Wallabies have a two line formation; A10-A13 in the front and A14-A12 supporting underneath. A10 takes ball to the line and passes behind A13 to A14 who cuts in between S10 and S12. He targets S12's inside and gets well over the gainline and Australia have quick, clean ball just outside the Bok 22.

02:51 - SA L/O; Wallaby Territory: S11-S12-S13 run up flat, S13 holds his line until a moment before S10 passes, S11 and S12 begin fade out with S13 cutting in front of them back inside. S13 ends with a straight run at outside shoulder of defender and gets behind gainline. Note that in this move, S12 was the wide option to attacking the edge of the defence which is A13's outside shoulder. S13 was the straight runner into traffic.

03:05 - 3rd phase of the same sequence off previous lineout. S12 is now stationed on the short side and attacks outside shoulder of A7 near touchline. Presents quick ball for S9.

05:40 - S12 binds onto ruck offering S9 protection on ruck fringe as he clears ball on Bok 22m line.

07:00 - SA Scrum; S14 at first receiver, S14 takes ball to the line with S12 running hard and flat just inside him. The decoy interchange between S14-S12 holds the drift and gives S10 a bit of space to attack out wide with S13-S15-S11 spreading out the rest of the opposition defence.

07:22 - Wallabies win turnover after wild offload from S15. The first phase is a short hit-up before they move it wide on second phase.  S12 is stationed on the edge of the defence with no support on his outside - S14 is back to cover kicks. A6 is positioned right along the touchline. The Wallabies have two lines of attack here, taking up their positions very quickly: A2-A3 form the front and A14-A1 form the secondary line. A10 engages A4 whilst the two-man front of A3-A2 hold S3-S1. A10 passes behind A3 to A14 who charges outward towards S12. S12 holds his position until the pass of A14 to try and bring down A6. A6 makes considerable ground and S12 is rather lethargic in pursuing him. No sense of urgency whatsoever. S14 knocks A6 with a strong upper-body hit to the ground effortlessly, but Australia are on the front foot and gaining ground deep into Bok territory now. S15 is ultimately at fault here.

08:00 - On the return from the right of the field Australia have a spread 3 man POD on first phase. Second phase, Wallabies on the attack and use box formation (A3-A2-A12-A1) in the middle of the field just inside of Bok 22. This ropes in the defensive line, preventing it from drifting or fanning out and leaves Australia with a 3v1 out wide against S14. The Boks initially begin with outside leverage, but A11 shifts further out as the play unfolds to get outside leverage on S12. A2 engages defence directly as he and A10 initiate a loop pass. A10 moves laterally behind A3 and A2 and now has A12 on his outside. S10-S2-S12 in a line track A10. S12 is marked up on A12, but just after A10 misses A12 to A11, S12 now sees A11 running into the exposed defensive edge. S12 - edge defender - scrambles out laterally to cover the space but gets beaten by an in-cut by A11.

10:26 - AUS L/O; Bok Territory: A13 targets S12's outside shoulder from first phase. S12 goes low and ankles clasps but has no effect in the tackle. A13 is put down by S13 who cuts back inside to support S12 after his failed tackle attempt. Australia on the front foot and gaining ground.

11:53 - SA Scrum; Outside 22; Midfield: S8 runs it to the off the back of the scrum passes short to S9. S10 runs a hard line close to S9 to pull two defenders together. S9 passes long behind S10 to S12 who runs into acres of space with S14 along the touchline on his outside and S9 supporting him on his inside.

14:15 - SA L/O; Australia territory: S12 at first receiver and attempts to crash it up flat into seam behind lineout. S12 is driven backwards by A7 before Bok POD arrive to secure and clean possession.

16:58 - S11 brings down A13 out wide, S12 attacks ball and slows down Wallaby ball considerably before being cleared aside.

18:45 - Wallaby attacker runs directly into S12 and looks to be breaching it on the inside but for S19 coming in and holding him up, S12 then proceeds to drive attacker laterally inside and forces him to ground eventually with S19 halting his forward movement completely.

20:00 - AUS Scrum; Bok Territory: Simple starter play in the middle of the field sees A12 setup A13 for the crashball into S12 - S10 moves laterally in behind to position himself for the next phase to the left. A13 attacks S12's outside shoulder and drives him back a long way before S13 grabs the back of A13's jersey and pulls him down.

29:23 - A13 runs at S10 to hold him, S13 is ball watching and does not see A15 coming into line. A15 receives offload from A13 and he breezes past the outside of S13. S12 fans out to catch A15 but slips the tackle attempt and easily gased.

31:42 - A12 runs across the face of S12 and draws him out of his channel and pops a pass back inside before S12 smashes him to ground. Australia get well over the gainline through S12s channel and are on the front foot deep inside Bok territory.

32:50 - AUS L/O; Outside Bok 22: A12 at first receiver fixes S10, he has A15-A10-A13 in a staggered formation with A15 leading from the outside. A13 runs a hard decoy line between S10-S12 with A10 running across the face of S12 behind A13's advance. Essentially they are running a blocker line, with A15 running a big unders line and A10 running in behind then across the face of S12 to pull him out of his channel and allow A13 to attack that space upon receiving an inside ball from A10. This is exactly what happened. S12 should have left A10 to S13 and covered A13 and Australia would have been shutdown for, at most, minimal inches. As it was, A13 scored a crucial try because S12 was too reactive and exposed his channel yet again. Clearly Australia are concentrating on S12 as their main entry point through our defence, in this play they had three players target him on his outside and inside shoulder. Not much direct running, they are encouraging him to move and expose his channel and send support runners or a concealed strike runner into that channel.

35:15 - A13 runs clean overs line against S12 and gets well in behind him as S12 grabs his ankles and only just disrupts his footing sending him to ground.

37:12 - Boks deep in wallaby territory, on third phase Boks setup a POD comprising S2-S8-S20. They set up S12 for a crashball in the middle of the field. The play fails to get the momentum it was designed for. Two reasons: 1.The POD are very static as the Wallabies advance very quickly upon them. 2.S12 is too deep and receives the ball largely flat-footed, which allows the defenders to read the movement and shut him down on the outside of S20. So there was no element of surprise. To his credit, the in-cut after D4 and D5 cut him off does bring the three interior defenders into the breakdown and the POD is on hand to recycle possession for the next POD to further attack the middle of the field on the very next phase.

Note: The Boks ran a 21 pattern on this attacking sequence. The two PODs - working with S12 on the first - attacked twice to the right of the field and as the Wallabies were working to fold around the back of the ruck for a subsequent attack S9 passes one back to the left to S10. S10 stays in neutral position right behind both rucks, so Australia cannot assume they will go left; there were four forwards threatening to attack the fringe on the right with two backs spreading out wide, so it was a genuine threat. The important thing to note is that A9 was tracking behind the defensive line to the right, which left A15 on his own to the left. S10 targeted A15 with a high-ball that he very feebly contested which led to S15 setting up S4 for a crucial try. On the third phase, S10 engages the defence with S15 on his outside, which forces the Wallaby line to stand flat as well as bring A15 into the line, so the kick at the last moment results in an attack of space at the back that is behind A15 and the defensive line. He has to track back to contest the high ball, but is out-matched by S11 in the air.

Phase 1

Phase 2

Phase 3

39:54 - Boks recover kick-off, S4 powerfully charges through Wallabies. Next phase they line up with two lines of attack comprising S3-S15-S8 in the front line, and S10-S13-S12 in the second line. These two attacking lines sit beneath S4 who is at first receiver as a decoy. S9 passes behind S4 to S15 and S15 passes behind S8 to S12. S13 is quickly in support of S12 as a cleaner. S10 positions himself for the next phase on the return to the right. The Wallaby outside-in expertly mark up on the advance of S12 but A14 goes high and slips off S12. A11 scrags S12 by the ankles, but S12 breaks the hold and is eventually put down by A12 immediately after.

40:57 - On 11th phase, Boks run two lines of attack in the middle of the field. The first line is made up of S8-S1, the second S10-S12. Boks try to get on outside edge of defensive line, but the Wallabies flat line defence mark up well on the front line and the two backs sitting deep cut out any wide movement. A13 is very quickly upon S12 leaving S10 to dart back inside where he makes good ground as A7 tackles him laterally. This is a similar sort of play the Stormers use to get Damian into space, Australia have covered it very well here.

41:16 - 14th phase, S12 is positioned on the short-side. He takes it off S9 and carries it into traffic. S2 lends a helping hand with a monstrous clear out.

41:48 - Boks attacking strongly in Aussie half, going through multiple phases. S15 sets S14 up for a linebreak and he gains considerable ground. However, the ball is not secured at the subsequent breakdown as the ball bobbles around and bounces forward off the foot of S9. A4 secures the ball winning a turnover and pushes it back for A10 to scoop up. A10 attempts a breakout from Wallaby 22. A10 passes to A15 who charges at a cluster of forwards - particularly fixing S19 - whilst A10 loops behind and receives a pass on the edge of the defence. A10 attempts a behind-the-back flick pass which floats over the top of A13. S12 is in the vicinity and gathers the loose ball and gets behind A13 and A6. A3 takes S12 by the lower leg and brings him to ground midway into Wallaby 22.

2nd Half

40:40 - A13 runs at S12 and beats him cleanly breaking the attempted tackle.

43:47 - Third phase as the Boks work the ball to the middle of the field. S1 rushes up as a decoy engaging A13, this has A2 cut in sharply to protect A13's inside shoulder and lend support in stopping one of our strongest and most secure ball-carriers. S12 runs underneath S1's advance and feigns a move outside S1 cutting back inside - to where there is more space - beating the relatively immobile A2 on the inside, though A2 has him by the ankle. A4 has the interior covered though and drives S12 to ground for minimal gain. There was no threat to the Boks breaking out wide as A7-A11-A12 formed a strong triumvirate on the outside of S12 shutting out any wide movement with their outside-in defence.

50:45 - A13 runs it back after high ball from Boks. Defence is drifting, but S12 makes a school-boy error and turns his back to his inside, A13 darts inside S12s channel and beats S12 cleanly gaining good ground before S10 brings him to ground.

51:58 - Australia going through the phases, working the ball from side-to-side. A21-A14. S12 sees it coming and takes A14 down quickly with a nice strong hit in the mid-section.

56:53 - A15 runs across the face of S12 back inside and beats S12 cleanly. S12 manages fingertip grasp with no effect. S4 takes A15 high and halts his charge.

61:46 - Wallabies run two lines of attack, their forwards setting up the backs, beneath, to attack the Bok centres with a 4v3 advantage. More importantly, the space created between S10 and S12 is an obvious weak point. A7 and A1 cut inside straight to attack each shoulder of S10 thus fixing him - he also has to consider A10 who engages his inside, so S10 has three attackers pinning him down; one on the outside and two on the inside. A12-A15-A13 run outwards behind the two player front line, with A15 and A13 engaging the Bok centres. A14 is stationed wide and pulls S11 with him creating space between S11 and S13 as A15 and A13 bunch up the Bok centres. So the Aussies had the option to attack the space between S10-S12 and also the Space between S13-S11, depending on what the Boks gave them. Two mistakes ensue: 1.S12 does not come up flat with S10 and thus leaves a dog-leg in the defensive line; 2.S12 does not cover the inside attacker and instead just floats forward and watches A15. This leaves S10 completely exposed on the outside as he is already pinned down by three attackers. A10 sends a deft pass to A12 who beats S12 easily on his inside shoulder and sends A15 away for a certain try, but for A15 losing control of the ball, Australia would have had a certain try!

63:56 - Boks win a turnover after a highball reception by A15. S9 sends a long pass behind S8 and two other forwards out to S10. S10-S15-S12. S12 is in open space out wide with S13 along the touchline. He runs a clean overs line against A7 who scrags him by the ankle. S12 offloads to S13 who comes back inside instead of passing to S14 who would have been free for a run down the touchline.

64:05 - Boks are losing ground as a result of S13s prior error and almost lose control of ball. S12 grabs bobbling loose ball and straightens up the attack and forces his way forward in the tackle of A18, who is around his ankles, and A13 who takes him high. Eventually he is forced to ground after A13 stands him up for a moment. Boks have some much needed momentum now.

66:17 - S8 tackles A7 from behind with S12 assisting and attacking subsequent breakdown.

66:51 - A13 cuts inside after a long pass out. He breaks the tackle of S13 who jumped the line and turns in the tackle of S12, getting in behind him. S12 has him by the shorts but A13 is marching forward until S4 stops him and puts him to ground. Australia on the front foot inside Bok 22.

67:44 - Australia turnover ball via gathered over-throw by S2. A21 sends a long pass out to A22 who runs at S12 and beats him cleanly on the inside. S6 knocks him to ground.

68:05 - A23 runs at S12 out wide and goes to ground willingly and presents clean ball for the return phases in the opposite direction.

68:32 - A20 runs at S7 and S12 jumps the line to cut him off from the outside and assist in pushing him to ground before moving out quickly to take up defensive position.

68:45 - Ball popped out to S12 from ruck deep in Bok half, S12 is near touchline. He readies himself to attack the
outside shoulder of A23 before ref blows whistle.

69:40 - AUS L/O; Bok 22: Australia maul. A21 out quickly to A22. A22 runs out then in, and attacks S12s inside shoulder beating him cleanly. S12 was pushing out as he advanced, so too S13. S22, who laterally tracked the Wallaby play, puts him down by covering the space between himself and S12 very closely preventing a certain try.

69:50 - Deep inside Bok 22. The third phase of the previous attacking sequence. A5 runs at S12 but loses the ball trying to twist in the tackle as he is going to ground from a low tackle by S20.

76:40 - A23 looks up and targets S12. He drives his way forward as S10 assists S12 in the tackle. Eventually they all go to ground with little ground gained or lost. Penalty Australia.

78:46 - S12 attacks ruck but is cleaned out quickly.

79:10 - S12 Attacks ruck. Slows down ball, Bok surge wins turnover.

81:07 - Boks defending desperately deep inside their 22. S12 assists in tackle out wide. Pulls out quickly to take up defensive position.

81:33 - Wallabies work the ball to the touchline inside Bok 22, then return back two phases with carries through two PODs. The next two phases are through the backs who have reloaded. Right in front of Bok tryline in the last move of the game, A13 runs at space between S12 and S6 - S6 being the interior defender. S12 is the first to make contact with a low tackle that allows A13 to get behind him and move in the subsequent tackle against S6. S12 slipped off tackle. Try Australia.

Fox I will analyse this all later, thanks for the effort, but golf takes precedence. On the try, though, de Allende left a huge defensive gap......you could see Kuridrani had only one objective to penetrate that gap and score. Which he did.

Desert, De Allende had a fanatic Super Rugby season for the stormers,  making the totw more times than not. He had a fantastic game against the world XV.I won't sit here and lie to you and tell you he had a good game against the aussies as he didn't, but nor should he be hung out to dry and written off just because of it. He's our best bet at 12, and someone we need to invest time in. Rather he learn these lessons now than at the world cup.

Ag, these problems have been around for a while now. Why should I believe they are going to go away in mere months? Damian needs to overhaul his entire game. I have been documenting these issues most of the Super rugby season and they were there last week too. Right now he is a nippy rugby league type of runner with a knack for beating you on the outside. He is very good at that. So the question is, where do we best utilize those attributes? It certainly isn't at 12. But we have a complication in that JP is solving our problems on the wing - particularly from an aerial standpoint - and Kriel is looking serviceable at 13, though not spectacular, as many would have us all believe. I think we should drop him this year, in 2016 we can see if he is worth investing in over that cycle; unless of course we play him on the wing where his attributes are most potent. A player with confidence to beat you on the outside and hold up the initial defender are only a good thing. It's unlikely he will change however. Players who are being told they are the best seldom see their faults and never develop. In 2006 Spies was heralded as the future Bok of the century. In 2003 Pretorius as the next Naas. Bekker and Olivier were the best in their position over two seasons, or so we were told. All this hot air amounts to very little. Just look at the Lambie hype machine and Luke Watson. But I appreciate your honesty Deddy, it's refreshing. I think Damian has a lot of talent, but he is going to, in my opinion, require a stern hand and a few years to develop. I don't advocate merely dumping players, but we must be honest in assessing them and then work on their shortcomings. South Africans merely assume that you can shove a player in a jersey and the rest takes care of itself. We must learn from Australia: They have little talent but retool their players and develop them into useful pieces for their puzzle.

The match will be re-broadcasted today.  I am going to print out the BS written by Desert Disaster and then have a field day comparing his drivel with what actually happened during the match.   That would indeed be fun.
Remember we are dealing here with a supreme idiot who condemned De Allende for a poor displa y in a match that never took place.

Inspector Gemors at it again! As per the game, I can't wait to read your "sanitized" version. Are you sure you aren't North Korean? There are undertones of Kim Ill Sung about you.

Nice of you to google it, even passively I have been able to teach you at least a few things! But whatever Michael, especially after your England test gaff which you vehemently argued was in 2005. You even went the extra mile to confirm this by saying you went to the game and saw a sick relative, and stated it could never have been in 2004. But once we got down to it, you were wrong about every incident again, so it was rather foolish to bring this game up and make a fool of yourself all around. Another video was posted, and proved you were lying. Again.

I afterwards admitted that the test took place in 2004 - not in 2005 - so that was the case.  That test did take place in 2004- the match you referred to never took place.   After a decade I made the wrong statement as to what year the test took place in - you made a statement of a match that never took place within a month after the nd of Super 15.
Your mind is sick as well.  I mentioned and explained that I went wrong on the year and the sick relative who you referred to was my brother - who lived in Wilderness and who died within a week after my return from England from cancer.   He was 49 years old when he died and was borne in 1955 - so it must inevitably have been 2004.  I also explained that as well.  You sick bloody idiot - knows nothing about rugby and a bloody low born insensitive bustard as well.

The fact of the matter is that the Rebels 8 ran over Damian in the Stormer 22. Stop trying to shift attention from this! Nice try, but not so sly boy'o.

You then ran away from the truth like it was unbelievable.  Like your fellow-coward ceradunce  you will deny the second thread exists - but it was definitely submitted and is in existence.
Bump means nothing - but you will not find the threat, because you will look sick - very sick.  Not nice to be caught out lying about what happened on the field of play.

I did not deny the thread existed, I posted on it you dolt! But I don't need your thread, I have my own along with the video. Anyone can observe the two and see that they are aligned. Through common sense that would make your post incorrect and irrelevant.

Not interested in your selected video - you lied about virtually 80% in what you wrote about De Allende in that match and you do not want to find the thred in which you were badly exposed as a liar.

It's all there. Maybe it will end with another Eat Crow thread, CC can have his share of crow, he already has a fat sluggard roasting in the oven after his failed prediction.

This is NOT the match I referred to LIAR,   You should know by now - but based on lies you should be a  convicted criminal Bster for fraud.

So you say....but only after I pointed out that de Jongh wasn't in that test. Same as the Adi Jcobs lie. The SPCT alert level remains high.

Liar - get it straight - I am not as stupid as you are.  I know De Jongh played in no tests since his AWOL performance in London in 2012 up to 2016.  So if I refer to De Jongh -stupid ass hole - it is of essence that it MUST be a upper Rugby game.
It is only you who could of essence be deceitful.

You started this Tokkie as always......now you have your flabby tits in a wringer because you mistakenly thought de Jongh was involved in the Allende debacle against Kuridrani. Spare us the further lies.

I did not start the discussion - I referred to your erstwhile favourite Tevita Kuridrani and you went bananas.   You keep up your lies about a post you never made and you then started quoting a match that was not the comments I made.  Deceitful as always.
