Questions have to be asked why the Boks had Cermit Bosch in the squad, given that Willemse totally outplayed him in the junior world cup.
Although many other questions have to be asked about the Boks, like why the coach is not a test standard coach or selector.
Willemse is our best new flyhalf prospect in some time. A thinking player that can take the pressure and make decisions quickly He seems to be an all-rounder.

Best young Flyhalf is Robert Du Preez. Th is guy is a rugged competitor
Has Willemse gut the physicality to do the job. Curwin I believe hasn't. But the jury is still out and we shall see how these youngsters go.
I rate Willemse very highly and to my mind he is a player to watch this year in Super Rugby,

Look at the way in which Willemse hold the ball when carrying the ball - he is always capable to pass, off-load or kick the balls effectively.
Unlike duds at flyhalf we used to have he can read the game and kick balls away from potential recipients and not straight at them.
It is already clear that he opens up the way for players outside of him to perform, He is a natural player - unlike Jantjies who have serious problems in reading games.. I do not think he will fall into a hole like some of our past flyhalfs did - and that in particular includes the Steyns and even Goosen. While the latter showed signs of ball sense the Steyns never did.
