Damn, bad news about Dyantyi
Probably trying to recover in time for the World Cup. Hi s injury was very ill-timed.
Where is the self righteous indignation of that fiend of mine Beeno?
It sounds like he is innocent.
He may have recovered from injury, and Rassie was aware of this situation, hence why he is not in the squad. Hopefully the second test can happen quickly
Yes I agree...certainly sounds very innocent to me...don't know how accurate these tests are and if they are foolproof. Do you think maybe some one who had ill intent laced a beverage to frame him.
It sounds awful but yes there are such sick people driven by jealousy or other ugly reasons and motives. Could be racial hatred...it does exist in the worst forms.
I think he's innocent...medical tests can be wrong.
A friend of mine who does marathons and ocean kayaking applied for a large life insurance policy a couple of months ago and had the pathologist take blood tests...Apparently the insurance company came back declining him for high blood pressure. It was ridiculous...an extremely fit man. He knew something had gone awry and insisted that he be tested again by his own pathologist on the instruction from his GP. It was found totally wrong.
The original path lab denied this so he had another test done by the same and indeed his results were very good. I don't know how it's possible but in this country anything can happen. It's scary.
I know this is different but we don't always have foolproof systems we can trust.
Probably was something that the doctors gave him when he was injured - but he was tested two weeks ago and then retested two weeks later and found he had a banned substance in his urine. There is no news as to what exactly the substance was,
We will soon see what really is the case. In the meantime I am sorry about it and hope the next test clears the guy. .
Moo, we would like to think that he is not a cheat, but ATM the evidence suggests that he is. I very much doubt that the second sample will test any different ...his best hope is probably that a doctor slipped up with medication, but that's also slim.
Pity, as he is my preferred left wing starter for the boks.
In the absence of any evidence to the contrary, I will assume that Aphiwe Dyantyi is a drug cheat, just like Chilliboy Ralepelle, Johan Ackermann and several others.
It's a bit puzzling why Dyantyi is getting a free pass here from so many posters when Chilliboy made the same excuses and was vilified by the same posters on here.
Rooi, I actually agree with you on this...and as for your question about the different treatment that Chilliboy got? I think he was disliked because he was seen as a quota pick(although I think at some stage he showed enough potential) whereas Dyantyi is seen as a totally merited selection.
Steroid Boy Rappelle is another story. I think he was aware that he took Steroids. Johan Ackerman was also a proven cheat.
Oh come on oaks the kiwis got their stooge rooibozo to slp poor Dyanti some illegal drug. Plai n as daylight!
Don't know why Aphiwe Dyantyi is getting a free pass and pats on the back for this . . . he's a drug cheat and he should serve a ban like all the other drug cheats.
The reason why a second test is taken is to eliminate any doubt about the presence of drugs in the system of players, Any decision that action is taken against a player will only e after the second test is done. That is why I think we should wait and see -
* what substance was found in his system - there was nothing about that made public yet;
* is the second test confirming the first test findings.
He may ben a drug cheat, but somehow I think there may be some doubt. Why was he tested two weeks before the test and cleared - only to be tested two weeks later and hen found to have a forbidden substance present in him?
Sharapova in NOT drug cheat. She had been taking the substance she was banned for over a period of several years.
Suddenly, they banned the substance and her team never realized it. She was tested a few weeks after the substance was banned. She never denied she had been using the substance etc.
It was a harsh sentence which fortunate was reduced later.
Oh come on oaks the kiwis got their stooge rooibozo to slp poor Dyanti some illegal drug. Plain as daylight!
NO THEY LEAVE THAT TO SOUTH AFRICANS.TO DO BECAUSE THAT IS THE LEVEL THAT SOUTH AFRICAN PEOPLE UNDERSTAND AND OPERATE AT.
DON'T JUDGE OR BLAME NEW ZEALANDERS AT THE LEVEL THAT YOU OPERATE AT.
trans linda you have no right to talk about drugs give your hormone therapy etc.
No, if one considers the incidence of drug cheating over the years nz come tops. Sean Fitzpatrick once said South Africa competitive advantage was their big athletic MEN. So we dont need drugs for our forwards at least no like the pap wee nz forwards! Hahahahahahahahaha
moo moo please oak,the ban had hardly been put on the drug and Sharapova was caught. She had been using it for years then out of the blue it was banned. So it was very obviously just a simple mistake.
Moo moo all this is just an attempt to take people's attention away from the serial drug cheats in nz rugby. The glee in condemning Dyanti before the final results and evidence is out proves my point.
Beeno holding the dirty kiwi feet (Wearing white gloves), very close to the fire!
Yes - that is very likely in this case. Idiot supreme.
" The test confirmed the results of the A-sample of the presence of the banned substances: methandienone, methyltestosterone and LGD-4033 ."
Maybe he was trying to recover from an injury in time for the world cup, who knows.....
Sad. After last year, he was perhaps my favourite rugby player for the Boks. He was probably the difference between the win and loss vs the All Blacks in New Zealand last year....
He had a few rough edges to his game like under the highball, and positional play on defence- but with more time he would have gotten over these.... (without cheating)
He got the World Cup rugby breakthrough player of the year last season, so they will probably be more severe on him for making a mockery of the IRB..
Yes. the kiwis don't test for drugs. they are also masters at masking! The whole wee ab squad should be tested and sent home! Thereafter the kiwis would be demanding a refund from their bribed refs. HAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHHA
E xtend the drug tests to nz juniours as well please!
Still lots of speculating from some oaks.
