Sky have done such a good job of showing all the S15 games to date, but at present the Sharks vs Cheetahs game is not being televised or shown on the net (Skysport Extra). The Bulls vs Kings game is on Extra

Pisses me off

Saff - when in a pinch I have used lshunter.tv

Ton of pop-ups and it feels like you are getting hacked, but have had no issues so far just don't download anything. Some pop-ups have a countdown and will disappear others display a small "x" after a few moments that you have to click to close. Quality is not good but generally works well enough though that you can see what's going on. Have cheered several games while away from home watching the granulated figures running around. Only streams live games, nothing archived.

Sorry to hear that - but it actually counts in your favour.  You can now claim that Steyn had a wonderful performane in the game after he cam off thr bench at minute 76.

Thanks oimatey, much appreciated. I am hoping Sky show it as they tend to change their listings on the day. I cant see why they will not show it given they have shown all the other games.

If all else fails, Youtube tends to have the games in full a few hours later.

I find the video software companies are incredibly intrusive. When you try to click off ILivid, for example, it diverts you to their sign up page. The trick is to go to full screen, and when the pop ups come, click back on the part of the full screen that still shows.

I have watched the last two years of S15 this way....my cable operator doesn't carry the Fox channels that show rugby. Not good for the blood pressure!

@Oimatey, Install Ad-blocker plug in. It should take care of the pop-ups. This is a link for the Firefox plug-in, but they have one for other browsers as well. Just google Adblock. addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/

@Moz, you shouldn't click the off-button for ILivid. Just hover your cursor over it and you will notice that another smaller off-button appear lower down on the pop-up. That one closes the ILivid pop-up. Adblocker prevents the ILivid pop-up as well.

Saffex, you can not miss this game man! You need to do what you need to do to make sure you see it live.

When have you ever seen a Sharks team with so much flair and strike power from numbers 11 to 15. Its gona be hell for the Cheetahs. We have the ever "penetrating" Bosman at 12. The "powerfull" Jordaan just outside him. The "gas man" Ndungane on the right wing with the "veteran" Robinson on the left. The cherry on top of the cake will no doubt come in the form of the "spark at the back" Viljoen ;-)

Ha ha if ever there was a weekend where we needed to tap into the Sharks XV assortment it is now. Andries Coetzee should be playing, wrong weekend to drop Frans. For whatever he is right now, we could sure use his experience now with JP and Mvovo out. Maybe Frans is what we need at 12 this game. Just let him run at Ebersohn all day. It seemed to work beautifully first game in Bloem.

Maybe

9. Reinach

10. Jordaan

11. Robinson

12. Lambie

13. Steyn

14. Sithole

15. Coetzee

I think we have enough to beat the Cheetahs but we not gona win on tour like that. What else can we do right now though. Plenty people forget that Jordaan has played 10 his whole life. Im starting to see why. He is not running the lines of a 13 these days and looking more like a flyhalf! Of course, if this is not working, we have Viljoen on the bench who can come on and play 10 or Bosman to 12 and Lambie back to 10..JUST FOR THIS GAME to see how Jordaan goes. I reckon shake things up completely and lets see if we get guys starting to use their potential and reinvigorated in a slightly different position. None of these positions are foreign to these players but all I know is they are currently looking like Rookie's in their "normal" positions. Ndungane is taking a few steps back in my opinion. Always like him as he works hard but unfortunately age is age and he is too slow now. Sithole has not been good but give him a chance!

One thing about it though is that we can get all the matches on High Definition - superb quality.

Boklog, this has to go down as the worst Sharks backline I have see in years. It ends at 9 & 10. Thereafter as you point out, it is flawed on every front.

Plum is a complete fool for dropping Frans, the man has lost the plot. In the forwards, the blind faith shown in Franco v/d Merwe is madness.

There is no way Jordaan could be used at 10, he has shown poor hands this S15. I'd stick with him at 13 for now although I'd be tempted to play current Baby Bok 13, Tyler Fisher or Piet Lindeque who has returned to the Sharks after a spell with the Bulls Vodacom Cup side. I see Lindeque has been included in the Sharks touring side.

The backline I would have selected would have been: 15. A.Coetzee 14. Tyler Fisher 13. Jordaan 12. Frans 11. Sithole 10. Lambie 9. Reinach

My forwards would have been: 1. Beast 2. Cooper 3. Jannie 4. Bresler 5. Steph du Toit 6. Daniel 7. Deysel 8. Coetzee, with a bench of 16. Mc Leod 17. Bosman 18. Lineque 19. Herbst 20. Burden 21. Jandre Marais 22. Kankowski

Talking of losing the plot completely - it must be you.   Anyone who selects an overweight and unfit player loses the plot completely.   By the way it seems to be that Steyn lost interest in correcting his weight problem and may even be increasing at this stage.   Although only 3 letter words - the two words fat and fit contradict itself when it comes to sporting achievements.

And then the fat and unfit player cannot defend either - missed an easy tackle of De Jongh.  Does not fit into any team.   Unless he starts getting his own situation in order - Vodacom Cup is the best he can hope for - that is if he can stop eating the whole food supply of Durban.   Almost as bad as a certain Guthro Steenkamp of Toulouse - Steyn would soon be heavier - with a bigger gut as well. LOL

Ou DomMike, I'd rather have Frans blindfolded than the utterly useless Bosman anywhere near my side.

Let me guess, another lie from you regarding Frans's weight?

Plum has lost the plot, this Sharks side is going down. You can't win with that insult of a backline.

Put it this way, if the Cheetahs lose to this Sharks side, its best they chuck in the towel on their campaign

You are indeed funny - you apparently miss out 100% about rugby as a game - when it omes to your assessments of players.  Before the game starts - you already decided who played well and who did not.  So it is really a joke.

Did you read with care the article of Rich on the issue of Steyn and Kankowski?   Why would Plumtree lose patience with Steyn?   He was doing what was required and then apparently becam unconcerned about the issue?   Why unconcerned - that is the big question?   Because h thought that he s so high in Meyer;s estimation that he could way 118 kgs and still be selected?   That happened last year - why not this year as well.   Fat and unfit did nothing in the tests last year and that is definitely not the way to go this year.

Your game assessments are normally wrong - so lets not say too much about the winning or losing of games.

Mozart

Keep on bluffing yourself.   Since the Brumbies game - Steyn has lost completely the capacity to tackle players.   He has not tackled a single player in the games he came off the bench or played in full.   Thatincludes the games against the Rebels (coming off the bench), or te Crusaders and Stormers games. Completely a void insofar as tackling is concerned - so De Jongh beating him in that tackle is no compliment at all.

I think if you ask any opposing backline player in Super 15 eho is the weaskest ball carrier in backline play - they would tell you it is De Jongh.   He normally gets tackled back by any real defender and he often enough loses the ball in tackle situations otr give away penalties.   By the way his tackle stats are almost as bad of those of Steyn.   The stats does not show the cases where he was supposed to tackle a ball carrier - but went AWOL and other players have to doo his work for him.    Missing 1 in every 4 tackles he attempts speaks volumes as to his own capacity in that regard.  Only consolation - Steyn's stats are worse than his.

You still won't see what the rest of us saw and no doubt you'll post your usual twaddle based on heaven only knows what.

Oh DomMike you are so stupid that it's actually quite amusing. Now all of a sudden Frans cant tackle, but hey, hey Jordaan can.

One certainty is that my assesment of games and players is in a different league to yours.

As Moz correctly pointed out, Frans had a good game last weekend and then we all saw Jordaan embarassed by Fruean and you were stupid enough to conclude Jordaan had the better of Fruean - need I say anymore regarding your assesment up players dumbo?

Saffex - the Dunce who cannot count.

For the rcord - Jordaan made 57and missed 4  in All Super 15 matches played thus far.  Engeklbrecht wdr 47 and missed 9.  Steyn made 36 tackles and missed 7.     De Jongh made 24 tackles and missed 8.   Now since you cannot undestand even the most basic figures maybe I should add the result of the above and plce them in order of tackling competence:-

1.  Jordaan - by a huge distance

2   Engelbrecht

3   Steyn - gave away tries as a result of poor tackling

4   Disastrous defender.

To answer your question directly.  Due to his unfitness and slo speed Steyn cannot get to where tackles are to be made - so other players have to do his work for him.   His defence this year can best be described as atrocious.

Your assessment of games is so poor that you are constantly wrong about everything pertaining to all matches.  Remember your forecast that the Crusaders will beat the Sharks?   Most of the members on this site read your assessments as comic relief - because they are way off the mark.    That is why you do not accept stats like tackling stats - now do you?   Beause it contradicts your muddled thinking - not so?

By the way the bove stats came from ESPN Scrum.   Foxsport final assessment on the performances of the same players are as follows:-

Jordaan         -    126

Steyn             -    112

De Jongh       -      82

Engelbrecht   -      70

The points total in respect of the 4 players as from Test Rugby are as follows:-

Jordaan          -       840

Steyn             -        770

De Jongh       -        715

Engelbrecht   -        685

In both the latter two cases scoring of tries are given maximmum points - but poor defence cost them dearly.    Thus even though De Jongh scored three tries his atrocious defence cost him dearly.  Same applies to Engelbrecht.

I know you live in complete denial of facts and figures based on what actually happened on the fiels of play and believe in your pre-conceived dreams - I must say that I look at games - form my opinion on performance and then go and look at the stats.  My assessment is normally confirmed by the stats [ so I am quite happy of my resding of games.

Anyway - keep living in your dreamworld as long as it makes you happy - since that keeps me laughing all the time.

If it makes you happy - I will confirm that Steyn is one of the poorest tacklers in the Sharks side - definitely far worse than Jordaan.

Capice.
