Could he be leaving the sinking ab ship? Given the abs lamatable wc final against a very average French side (should have lost by 15) maybe Carter wants to get out on a "high"?

Carter would be best to join League. He has actually been quite poor for some time now and it isn't getting any better. He has targetted the next World Cup, but it's highly doubtful he'll be up to it. Age certainly won't be on his side.
