Great cleanout by Sacha on Kriel keeps the Stormers attack going. Ends with Willemse kicking the worst droppie of 2026 so far. Pollard boots the dropout straight out. Error rate in this game is nuts.

Pollard scores from a quick tap but isn't happy about the head contact.

That was a very Sacha like try, oom Handré haha

Also, can the Stormers please get rid of Galant and play Willemse, the best 15 in the world, at 15!!!??

Willie may be in decline but he still is full hearted under the high ball and a terrific open field tackler

Unlucky there.

For all Roos faults, he very reliably backs up and keeps up with play.

Pity they use him like a hulk

Willie should never be allowed to tactical kick!

For me Roos, Willemse, Paul de Villiers….nothing much. Dacha and Pollard both off their games. These games are often decided by the weakest link, that was the Bools replacement tighthead.

All I know is, stop playing DW at 12! For heaven's sake.

He has so much more impact when he joins the line and also when he has space to run and create from deep. The fact that Galant is preventing the best 15 in SA from playing where he plays best feels really really really bad.

That fact that anybody thinks DW should play at 12 for the Boks just absolutely blows my mind.

I said this about 4 or 5 years ago and it remains true; Willemse is a racehorse, not a bloody carthorse. Stop trying to turn him into one.

Also, are the Stompies fans here not concerned that unless Sacha plays like an alien, you guys look pretty pedestrian?

The Boks also, Sacha is Brown ball

Irritated the hell outa me when Gelant was 1st receiver more than only a few times.

PLum your raving about Willemse is a joke. If I look at the SA franchse matches on Satirday frinm a center perspective only Milbe of th e Lions had a good match at 12 - the rest look no good pn Saturday

What’s that got to do with anything?

I saw the game - Willemse was good at 12, nothing spectacular but to say he was clueless is utter rubbish

He was physical, beat a few defenders, put in a few good grubber and was rock solid in defence

As his rating said he was good and solid - a worthy 6 in the context of a game that saw no standouts and where even Sacha never shone

Willemse certainly was not struggling as you put it, nor was he clueless

Esterhuizen and Hooker on the other hand were poor for the Sharks - with Hooker mostly awol and missing two simple one on one tackles. AE fumbled his way through the game

Does that make them poor players - no way in hell. I’m just questioning Hooker at 13, he has had 3 starts in a row there now and looks very unconvincing but I’m not surprised for he just does not fit the 13 mould - he is too big and not agile enough for a 13. He needs to stick to 12

He Is too slow for 13….but was brilliant against the ABs on the wing. Brilliant Dave.

I never mentioned pace - I said he was too big and not agile enough for 13

His pace seems to be ok but you need agility at 13

So you don’t need agility at 12 or on the wing, but you need agility at 13….keep digging.

Less agility at 12 and for big bulky wings, the last thing they rely on is agility

Digging my arse - you are such easy pickings

Hooker is actually very quick.

He's quicker than JJ, and has much more in his arsenal.

There is a gulf in class between the two.

Also, long live the match threads!!!

Its a pity you're not on them, Dawie...the boys do crack some excellent jokes.

Bullshit - JJ is quicker than Hooker without doubt and he is better equipped to attack space than Hooker is

Im never in front of the TV during the day so the live threads are out of reach for now
