With the help of some idiotic members - he ahs been able to turn most members nto dis cussing him and not the issue we should really discuss -  THAT BEING RUGBY.

We have  had an over-supply of Dave's size or weight.  I gain the impresion that with some members that far exceeds the issue of rugby,   Who thehell want to know whether he is as fat as Willem Alberts or  Francois Steyn - or he size of Twiggy.   Tat fat debate has deluded every discussion on the Board.   Other than Mozart and myself I believe none of the members ever met Dave - and from what I emember about our meeting in London he was not a Fatso or seeming tending towards that.   However, that means nothing when it comes to discourse on this site.

I made the mistake - was frustrated by dishonesty in Government - and the response was 290 responses.   None of those dealt with Government dishonesty - it was turned into a debate about Dave's predictions or mnon-predicton of tests outcomes.   There are indications that he a,mde remarks reflecting his frustration wiith some selections and indicated that with those selections he feels that t he Springboks would lose.   On the othjer hand - he claimed that he never actually made preduictions - and he doid not make any under threads dealing with predictions.   But why is that so important?   If he was wrong - what the hell makes it so important that rugby matters and in this case governent dishonesty is less important to us than Dave's comments on this site.

It really frustrates me that every rugby thread started on this site is polluted nby th constant harping about Dave's weight and the prediction story.   Is he a more imprtant topic than the oissue of Rugby - it seems to me he is in the mind of some members and the pettimess stemming from that is  unbeieveable.

Why can we as decentlovrs of rugby not discuss rugby issues primarily and forget about what members is and do in their private life?   Dave is defnitely not n easy baby - he can curse nearly as bad as a drunken sailor - or that Russian army captain that was cursing out an subordinate non-stop for half an hour - without repeating the same curse word twice.

I believe an occassional jibe at members is fine - but in this case the whole board is cluttered up with rbbish reponses on issues not relevant to rugby.   That being the case - there are members whose rugby knowedge is not up to standard and who is prejudiced beyond belief when it comes to rugby players.   That is also fine - but to invent and imagine things that did not happen and try and laud or denigrate players on that basis - is tragic and beyond normal decent human behaviour.

SO PLEASE CAN WE GET BACK TO DISCUSSION OF RUGBY ISSUES AND STAY AWAY FROM DAVE'S GIRTH A ND SMILAR OITHER RUBBISH.

Did you not recently say that Matfield and Bakkies Botha were responsible for the poor form of Eztebeth? Also that Matfield was responsible for the poor locking on the opposite side of the scrum from him.

No Mike, I have met him many times and know him very well. Rooinek and his wife have also met him.
I also think the issue is absurd and find it petty in the extreme. To me it beggars belief.

This forum is in serious need of a PM system. Many issues could be sorted out in private.

It was/is completely unacceptable the shower of swear words he often throws at posters.

The way in which he for the very first time addressed BiltongBek (as an example) was scandalous.

I hope he realises that he is playing with fire by breaking a universal forum rule which prohibits the disclosure of personal information.

I would think that rule has been broken by other people disclosing information about him repeatedly, already, don't you Blikkies.

As some of us keep saying, the way in which he is constantly harried by people here is pathetic in the extreme. And no, I don't use bad language before you question me on that issue. But a heck of a lot of other posters do and have said a lot of really unpleasant things to me without censure.

I am not going to blame anyone here for the preset problems in using this forum to deal with non-rugby issues.   I also use questionable words on this site and also insult people - but normally in reponse to what people write in personal attacks.
I have noticed the times when people made public my alleged placce of work - but had the audacity to repeat the allegation after I told them I NEVER worked for that government institution.   I do not think it is anything but sickening to come with that type of crap on this site.   In any event I do not really mind what is written of me on this site - unless it is defamatory or insulting.  People who knows the early history of the Cape settlement by the Dutch would know what my surname is - because of an indication I gave about my maternal Cape ancestor.  I also gave my residential town where I live.   So I do not really care about some aspects of personal information.
However in essence what should be borne in mind is that this is a rugby discussion forum - not a forum to deal with their personal gripes against other members.     What is hapoening now is petty abd childish.

So explain to me OOm why when I told you yesterday that Goosen was treated at the intersection of the 5 and 15 metre lines....on the side of the field where Whitehead scored....you responded by calling me a liar. What sort of response did that merit?

 Sharkbok
The issue raised by you relates to what I wrote about Bakkies and Matfield.   The issue I raised deal in essense with the functioning of the Tight 5.   There is ample evidence that -
*    Bakkies Botha is not bringing his part of work as a Tight 5 player to the fore anymore - both supported by he image during games as a very low work rate player - as well as statistically; and
*    that the gruntless Victor Matfield's work as a fowards relates virtually entirely to line outs only - and that for the rest he moonlights in the backline enabling him to make more tackles than is often found with Tight 5 players -  moonlighting in the backline was always Matfield's forte and nothing  in that regard has changed over the past decade.
That in essense means that the remainder of the Tight 5 combination must work extra hard in the tight phases of the game and that they are ess obvious in the more open phases - which is normally observed by the general public.   It is only logical that it would happen in the case of combinations of players in the various components of the game.   When I mentioned it on this site I gave reasons for why I think Etzebeth is more quiet than he used to be - he has to do the work of two players in the less obvious work of Tight 5 players.   If Bakkies and Matfield did thir part of the work in my opinion Etzebeth will be more obvious and effective in other parts of the game.
If peple disagree with me on that score - fine - they are entiitled to their opinions.   Where I have a serious problem is that if a player missed one tackle in a game - it suddenly becomes multiple missed tackles or give away one penalty it becomes penalties.   That represents outright lieing about players performances.   That is what I think is absolute crap.

What is absolute crap OOm  is you accusing other posters of lying, when you actually have the facts wrong as in the incident I have just cited.

My facts were not wrong - yours was manufactured.   From the perspective of the All Blacks Goosen was injured halfway between the goal posts and the right hand  touch line.   Why should he be treated on the oppposite side of the field where the try was scored?
Whiist being treated - the Springboks got the ball on the right hand side of the goal posts and Taute kicked towards the right hand side of the field - missing to find touch.   The ball was passed across the whole field and Whitelock scored in the left hand corner.
I have never seen an injured player being treated 20 meters away from the spot he was injured - must be a first time in rugby history that that happened.   So try again or post that video on this site to see who is right in this case.
Guess who is the main cultprit who multiplies negative incidents in games?
Mozart  - yoiu are the one person on this site who comes up with more personal crap on members than anybody else.   Please - I asked you before - start writing about rugby issues and not members personal issues.

Minute 2.07 you see him lying in the distance at exactly the spot I describe.

Minute 2.35 you see him rising at exactly the spot I describe, the intersection of the 5 and 15 metre lines, and you catch a glimpse of the medical person scrambling out the way.

So once again, you are caught with your pants down , but brazenly calling the person who is right a liar. .

And you have the balls to preach about Board behaviour you old fraud. Look to your own behaviour first.

Balls - he was injured slightly earlier and continued to play - the real injury before the try was at about minute 21-22 when both Read and him went for the ball and Read crashed into his knee with his shoulder.   The try was scored after the next move after his injury - when Taute failed to find touch.   In any event the clip showed nobody lieing anywhere before that incident - so it must have been another imagination on your part.    What a fool and liar we have here - top BSter on the board.
You are the main culprit on the site - I voted to keep you as a member - asked you to behave better - and what did you do - you got worse.

Yeah ... it is annoying.

I too added my bit in frustration yesterday.

Mozart is a very unpleasant person. Grateful I don't know this arsehole personally.

Then you get wankers like Devil's advocate adding his bit.

Have you ever seen a rugby related post from this twat? Like a dog on heat.

Shall do my best to stay away from this horseshyte.

No, you won't find a rugby post from Drivelling Avocado.

For whatever people say about Saffex he's here because of rugby and he posts about rugby . . . but Drivelling Avocado is here with a sinister agenda that has nothing at all to do with rugby or any other sport.

Add to the fact that Drivelling Avocado is an obsessive liar and a gutless coward and it makes you wonder why anyone ever bothers with him. Just let him squawk about "deep dives" and yap "game set and match" every now and again and maybe one day he'll shove off and go whine for attention somewhere else.

Oh and by the way ou Maaik, there's not a whole bunch of posters obsessed with Dave's height or his weight, it's just one sad individual who has kept this ridiculous topic alive for about 5 years now . . . and note that you voted for his right to continue this fixation that bores everyone to tears.

So there we have the lie upon the lie.....the issue was how far Goosen had to go to make the tackle. He had to go all of 15 metres straight across the 5 metre line. Who cares if he was hurt before, and I'm not even sure that's true....probably isn't. He had to make 15 metres from the point he was being attended to and did so easily.....he was stopped and waiting for Whitelock who ran right through his flimsy neither low, nor high tackle. The only reason Goosen was able to cling to a leg was Strauss came along to help actually bring him down.

Game, set and match.

 Mozart - the Master Moron
There was nobody lieing on the grass where you said it was - not anybody with eyes in his head can see that.  Goosen was neve ron that clipp until just before the try was scored.   The guy hovering in the back - which you mistook for Goosen was Kirchner.  He made the tackle as the ball was off-loaded to Whitelock. Goosen only came onto the scene about 4 meters out and that was the only time he wa in tht clip in that episode.
Goosen wa wghere the ref was when the kick was made by Taute.   How much satisfaction do you get out of manugfacturing lies?
This is the most witless statement anybody has ever made on this site.  The bloody idfiot prrduces a video clip and cannot see what the clip entials and then come up with utter bukllshit.  What a bloody fool and nitwit.  And a liar to boot.  G ame, set and match - you bloody fool.

Nonsense Goosen was where the medic was....clearly apparent at minute 2.35. Nobody confused him with Kirchner who was making a tackle on the 22...he got up from exactly the spot I said, you can actually see him in the process of rising. He ran 15 metres and botched the tackle.

But here's the clincher, in the NZ commentary which is on the clip they say: " he's getting up, he's on one leg" as Goosen moves from the spot I mentioned.
"He's getting up"..... Game over. Now are you going to continue your lie or just admit you blew it again.

My only advice to you is to go and get some glasses - or if you have some go and clean it - it must make you see things that is not there.   There was nobody gettingup[ frpom the spot ypoudsaid - you are seeing something that was never on the clip.  In the process you are spreading a load of BS.
If you watch the match you would have seen where Goosen was treated.   You say you saw a medic - there was none at the palce where you said he was treated.   The injury occurred where I said it did nd the treatment was given there - not at some mythical thing you said you saw and nobody else could see.
Balls - you are taking utter BS as per normal.   Goosen was NOT injured and treated at the place you said he was injured - so stop talking utter crap   And stop manufacturing Lies.
