The following from News 24:-
"Springbok centre Damian de Allende has returned to full training with the Stormers this week after recovering from a quad injury.

It is a welcomed boost for the Cape Town-based side following injuries to midfielders Juan de Jongh and Shaun Treeby sustained in Saturday's 40-34 victory over the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein.

De Jongh left the field early in the game with concussion which will rule him out of the clash with the Sunwolves at Newlands on Saturday, while Treeby will be sidelined for two weeks with a rib injury.

Fullback SP Marais injured his knee after landing awkwardly and sustained no major ligament damage, though his progress will be monitored weekly as to how he responds to treatment.

Props Oli Kebble (thigh) and Ali Vermaak (calf) are still recovering from their respective injuries. Both players face a race against time to be fit for the Super Rugby quarter-finals.

The Stormers have already secured their place in the tournament play-offs after having topped Africa Conference 1."

The Stormrs need two centers - De Jongh was crap on Satirdy before his injury and Treeby was worse.   I suspect the cntr paitring this wkend will be De Allende and Viljoen.

I  wouldn't start de Allende unless he's really fit and even then it seemed to me that he lacked confidence on his last return to the game.

De Allende has to focus his attention on finding the form he had two seasons ago.

He is a favourite of Coetzee's but I think he'll find it tough to get his jersey back from Serfontein.

Such a pity that the two best midfielders in the country have been discarded. I would seriously consider going to Europe to further my career if I were them.
