de Allende pure class
Beating who? A man who turned his back? Unter, you are hilarious!
This is worse than "Country of the Blind"...they flatout refuse to see the obvious.
Agree Dave, Allende should make team of the week again.
He showed a great turn of pace as well
The Org continues to do what he does best - embarrass himself. He is consistency itself!
Allende and Am are special players and a great combo. I was at the games in Cardiff and Edinburgh. Watching live gives you a big picture appreciation for the structure and the moves compared with TV. Allende is certainly a little more one dimensional, but in that highly effective. Alot of what they are able to achieve is due to the reputation they have built for themselves and the respect they now command from the opposition. Allende commits 2 to 3 players either directly or indirectly when he is involved in a move.
As a side note we are really missing Faf
Damian doesn't carry defenders. Here's the simple question: Did he or didn't he run into empty space freely given by a defender who turned his back?
Damian remains very average, and a partnership between he and Am doesn't exist.
The Plastiks very easily pleased and yet again fail to see the big picture. The Boks have a 5v2 because the Scots don't defend properly and worse yet, don't even apply pressure. No, the Boks have not turned a corner, the below standard Damian has still done nothing of note.
@Saffy: Your stop Kwagga, Etzebeth, Marx, Thor... you stop the Boks. At no point in Damian's career has he ever been integral or a key producer. He never will be.
" At no point in Damian's career has he ever been integral or a key producer. He never will be. "
and then there's this.......and hey, it's not like I'm trying to convince our resident Ghostbusters ............oooops Mythbusters....that would be total waste of time.
Damian de Allende: 9
Just edged his centre partner for his thrilling contribution to Makazole Mapimpi’s second try as he ran hard and produced a superb offload. Was again prominent as a ball-carrier and in defence.
Dve
Lik per normal Mozart and the Kindergarten Imbecile decided not see anything positive abouit players like De Allende nd invented rubbish about Mostert as part and parcel about their disinformation campaign about the Springboks and Erasmus remains their main target.
I have given up arguing with those two - especially because they supported in the past piss-poor coaches like Meyer and Coetzee and never criticized them for the disservice they rendered to SA rugby.
He was prominent in defence? Waaaaaaaahahaha, check your facts before you accept the hype. Gullible people love company
SATCTMTLWW RouxFB1200J KrielW0610L AmC1500D AllendeC1120M MapimpiW1310E JantjiesFH0510H JantjiesSH3020Just to interpret….Allende spilled the ball once, attempted 3 tackles and missed 2 and made no lineout throws. I actually think Dud did his part well in those two tries. But that’s what we would expect of any Bok centre surely.
He beat 1 tackle in 10 runs….Jantjies beat 2 in 5. Hell Duhan who is a similar player to Dud beat 6 in 11.
The hype is hilarious.
Missing 2 out of 3 tackles is excellent….what, for the opposition?
Ah well another serve returned ……game, set and match!
Missing 2 tackles is not a disaster, but it is if you only attempt 3 tackles Dave. I’m also defining him by beating 1 tackle in 10 runs against a totally inadequate opponent.
The stats don’t lie, perceptions fanned by hype do.
The fact is that when De Allende played well and praiseworthy - the shit you produced always has the same story - it was always a mistake or poor performance by the opposition. It is getting tiresome so try and produce something new for a change.
Actually you do him a disservice. He tried to make 3 tackles and actually succeeded once.
"The two tackles De Allende tried to make were very difficult"
Wow, now we have a sob story to go along with the platter of bulldust. Here's a violin to accompany said story.
When Morné was tracking back in 2013 against the All Blacks and missed four desperate no-hope cover tackles he was the most useless player in rugby history. This player is a dud on defence. It's well established.
Hi Guys
Been a while and I see the same old arguments are still roaring on. Rassie and De Allende are rubbish..... Do you ever get bored?
I must say as a Munster supporter I agree De Allende can sometimes miss tackles when he should make them. It is not his greatest strength. Please drop him and don't play him ever again. He is a good club level player just keep him there. He will be knackered for us as we go into the Heineken cup. We will even keep him on next year or three if you throw him out of the WRC squad.
