I have never been convinced with Venter. He is better than some of the total losers we have as coaches- but that is not saying much.
I expect Venter will make a sudden departure like he always does.As soon as other coaches work out a plan to deal with the Venter game plan, he is stuffed. He then packs his bags saying he is needed at his dental practice....
Apparently, during dental operations, he also walks out and says he is needed on the rugby field.......

 It was gonna always gonna be an uphill battle. It's just surprising that Venter didn't come up with something a little of the box...like Italy v England to try and unsettle the ABs.
Hopefully Akkerman earns his stripes up north and takes over from THE IDIOT after the inevitably disastrous WC.

Brendan Venter had great success at Saracens. He also had great influence at London Irish when he was player and later coach as well. That is one of the reasons why they pushed his button again when, they were relegated from the Premiership, to help get them back up again and it worked. I have confidence in him but he alone is not going to get us out of the crap we are in. It took as a long time to sink into this hole and is is going to take a massive effort and time to get us out of it. I strongly believe that it is not entirely AC's fault only. This has been a very long time coming and it started the day when SARU, in their wisdom, decided to knife Jake White in the back. All of his four years were not plain sailing but he, and his staff, we have to add, got it right in the end.

 The same remark was made during the game. With a mistake though: this guy is not a quota coach. Some time ago, it seems that a quota coach was in charge of defense.

The rules are simple: when SA win, it is thanks to coaches except quota coaches.
When SA lose, it is because of quota coaches.

So this guy is indeed responsible for the defense production when SA win. He is not when SA lose. Quota coach(es) are.

Very easy, this is one function of the quota stuff: you win despite quotas, you lose because of quotas.
