Absolute stupidity. What, in this universe, or any other, do DDA and Kriel do better than AE/Moodie? It's makes zero sense. Why even play them against the ABs then?

Let’s hope that article is wrong because Kriel ahead of Moodie at 13 is just plain stupidity but the biggest gaff would be powder puff Mostert ahead of RG We need to try get all our best backs on the field and find a way to string a combination together. Faf and Libbok are set at 9 & 10. You want Esterhuizen, de Allende, Willemse, Willie, Kolbe, Moodie and Arendse in your backline but there is only place for 5. Willemse and Moodie are the most versatile covering various positions It’s Willie the visionary and try assist king versus Willemse the tough nut with individual brilliance on the counter at 15, or you play Willemse in the centres but we have not tried that and should have in the last year. On the wing Kolbe is a must so that probably rules out Arendse, leaving Moodie as the other wing but he was so good at 13. At centre the options are de Allende, Esterhuizen, Moodie and Willemse The only way to accommodate the majority is to have de Allende and Esterhuizen at centre - mouth watering in my opion - imagine trying to stop those two all game. So it’s Willie vs Willemse at 15, after the AB game I’m inclined to go with Willemse and leave the attacking vision in the hands of Libbok at 10 So here is my solution as the Bok backline 15. Willemse 14. Kolbe 13. Esterhuizen (12) 12. de Allende (13) 11. Moodie 10. Libbok 9. Faf With Williams and Willie on the bench

The team that started agains the ABs is the team that should start against Scotland. When something is lost, it's always in the last place you look...because you don't keep looking once you've found it. We have seen what our best side is.

Delande might be an option on the attack at 13, not sure about defense though.

In every game that Delande has started this year, the Boks look sterile on the attack. Esterhuizen is the complete center, big strong fast - but with more playmaking ability.

No ways Plum our best side must have RG ahead of Mostert. Given what RG is able to do especially with those offloads we need him on the field for as long as possible I’d be more than happy with Esterhuizen and Moodie at centre but Mostert ahead of RG is not even a close call

Anyway, I can't see this article being accurate. Moodie played himself into a starting position at 13. Kriel has experience but but nothing else better than Moodie. Am is still injured. If Moodie is good enough against the ABs, he's good enough to play at 13 against anybody else. He missed one tackle in the AB game where he got ducked under in broken play. In that break the most concerning miss was Manie's...he got completely ghosted. I would also start RG ahead of Mostert. He's also better in every facet outside of perhaps stamina. Willemse can be on the bench. He's probably the best 23 in the world right now. I'd go... 9 Faf 10 Manie 11 Mapimpi 12 AE 13 Moodie 14 Arendse 15 Willie...or Willemse. Bench Kriel Willemse/Willie (In a perfect world Dayimani would have 20-30 caps on the wing for the Boks by now, just saying...I believe he's still faster than all our wingers, and much bigger...with excellent hands.) There is no world in which we should start with both Cheslin and Arendse. If we want the AE/DDA combo... I'd go 12 AE and 13 DDA...and tell DDA to remember back to when he didn't always run in straight line at either the goal line or the touch line. Though, I think(and hope) sanity will prevail. I have a feeling that just how Rassie was protecting Marx by having him in the bomb squad, he's been doing the same with AE. I feel that's why AE suddenly started so many games recently. For reference, playing brilliantly each time. On form, there is no choice between DDA and AE. AE is peaking and causes all sorts of good things to happen around him. We have numerous games, from this year, as clear evidence to rely on. No reasonable, or objective viewer, could argue the same for DDA's form. It would not surprise me too much, provided AE makes no epic blunders, if AE starts all our important games. If you're picking on form, on outcomes when particular players are involved, or simply on the majority view, AE has to start and he has to combine with Moodie in midfield. The good thing is that they have a lot easy games in the pool stages to continue building their combo. By the time the quarters roll around, AE and Moodie could have fives games together under their belt. That's our best combo and easily where we would get the most benefit from forward dominance...particularly when you factor in Manie's distribution. Who here disagrees with this?

Rassie will stick with those that know the system and have had the most caps which unfortunately means Kriel will start at 13 and Mostert at 5

Welcome back Denny great to have you back on the forum.

Trust all is well.

Agree with you if it ain't bust why change it.

The team that beat the AB'S played very well and I trust Libbok's post kicks will be on target for the rest of the RWC and that Pollard is on the mend and is able to play soon as well.

Moodie played himself into a starting position at 13. Kriel has experience but but nothing else better than Moodie.

Kriel scored a runaway try the other day. That is all Bok fans ever need to convince themselves they were wrong to ever doubt a player and that he was a world beater all along.

Kriel has never been a favourite of mine. I've always felt like he's one of those guys that looks the part but just doesn't have that spark and will only deliver very occasionally. Contrast that against Pollard, Faf, Eben, Duane, Marx, Am...players that both look and are the part.
