New Zealand players are the worst around rucks. If it is not holding players back off the ball , they are lying in the way of the scrumhalf pretending they are trying to get out of the way.
Often they lie on the ground in an offside position pretending to be trying to get out of the way, meanwhile lifting a leg up in the air to obstruct the opposing scrumhalf who is trying to clear the ball.

Seems that Taufaua had a cut lip, Cut himself shaving! The twit got what he wanted - a red card. These things are no doubt planned. You have a refs who will not police this so eventually players take the law into their own hands.I have NO sympathy for Taufau. He deserves a red.
One of the most common off the ball occurences is the taking of players out who are not part of a ruck etc to weaken the oppostion defence. Watch how often kiwi sides do this.My good friend JW will say its all accidental of course. Hahahahahaha

If the Ref's allow it, then we should start doing it too. The only rules in a game of rugby are the ones imposed by the Ref. That is often why the AB's and NZ teams are successful, they play the ref. We can be all high and mighty after a game because we didn't resort to such tactics, but the history books won't remember the side that was least sneaky, they'll remember the side that won.
And before someone tries the stupid argument against me, there is a big difference between playing dirty (Which we do just as often as anyone else), and bending the rules as far as possible without be stopped by the ref.
As long as it benefits your team, do it! Crying about the opposing team using shifty tactics after the fact won't get you a victory.

Bluebok that is terribly naieve. If we try it we will be penalised. Do not imaginge these refs are incapble of applying the rules if they choose. Hence the immense frustration that builds up.
The panel adjudicating Deysel's case needs to coinsider context but will probably not as we usually get far harsher treatment than Oz or NZ. I guess its because we dont squeal as much. Cowboys dont cry syndrome. That needs to change one has to fight for a fair deal.

As much as I hate dirty play the officials have to enforce the rules.
To often players take advantage of lax refs thus once you get away with this type of conduct you have open reason,
Shocking to see how poorly the refs act on illegal tactics as can be observed weekly in the S15.
Just re-look at the Brummies #14 player......he should have been carded at least three times in Bloemfontein for aggression after the whistle.
Amazed that he was not sorted out by the players at the time of the incidents.
Obstructing and going over the ball at breakdowns has become the norm it appears.
I was under the impression that the put it at set scrums was changed to ensure that the ball was put in straight........am I alone in observing that this is not enforced by refs.
To me it appears that there are two standards.......

perfect example of turning a blind eye to justify the saffa players shit dont stink mantra.
im not surprised the locals here think their boys are clean when it comes to holding, just cos no saffas talk about it here and kiwis unlike the saffas who consistently drone on about the same ol infractions, dosnet mean it dosent happen.
jean cook vs the rebels was holding onto a player, when the player retaliated, he was yellow carded.
le roux vs the blues, makes a tackle on willonson, gets up and plays at the ball. ball is cleared and le roux grabs and holds on to hickey who was mometarily part of the ruck but trys to run back into his first receiver position..
deon fourie vs waratahs, gets to the breakdown and contests the ball. waratahs clear and fourie can be seen holding onto potgieter and holding on long enough for potgieter to stop turn around and give him a dirty look.
there are plenty of examples of saffa players holding, but being it requires a reasonable mind and an unbiased eye to notice stuff like this.
i made a record of these incidents on my sticky notes a while back, cos the predictability of the saffa bloggers who have complained in the past were bound to make light of this subject again.
for the record i do think it is something that should be stamped out of the game, just like the rolling maul infringements from the attacking team which is time and time again abused.
but anyone who thinks that stomping on a players head as deliberate as deysel did is justified, has got to be trolling, cos while i joke about the malema level of intelligence some of u yokels have, i sincerely hope theres no truth to it.
deysel should get a huge ban for his act of thuggery, i mean to look and down and actually decide to stomp a players head??? o_O
hes a disgusting human being.

Sasue
The examples quoted by you happened in a variety of games. In one game the Crusaders did more of that on Saturday than in all the examples quoted by you. It started off by Crotty hanging onto Jordaan's shirt before the Sithole try, The vice- captain set the example - the rest followed faithfully. The Deysel incident was the third one - and there was at least two subsequent ones.
I would not mind if Deysel gets a three months ban - he was idiotic to respond like he did.
However, the Crusaders was accosted previously about this matter after the Burger incident and laughed it off and said the Chiefs are much worse. That indicates that that type of play is countenanced by the coaches. It should be shut out and referees should act against offenders - it is a yellow card offence and a few yellow cards would cut it out - even from the Crusaders team

@mikey,
i have plenty of more examples as i have been making lists since the crusaders stormers games, those examples i used were the right of the top of my head, but in all those games, there was more then one incident and i will now make it a mission to get that list ASAP.
i know the crusaders are serial offenders when it comes to holding back players and like i said it should be addressed properly.
after the much publicised actions of holding players back, the referees were very vigilant and gave a number of yellow cards for a few weeks, but like straight scrum feedfs which was all the carze in the early rounds, the refs have taken their foot of the pedal, something that needs to be addressed.
i will watch the saffa games this week with a microscope, which means my usual routine of wtaching a recording of the game and fastforwarding through the non action (inculuding the pitiful and hilarious attempts of backline play, ), and i would be very surprised if i cant pull out at least 10 holding incidents from saffa players.
better stock up on cafine, cos im going to need it,

Welcome back Sasuke san. Yes, we could do with a few more facts, too many "fabrications" on this subject & a few others, lol
Saders are guilty as charged but they have plenty of company. The refs have to clean it up as it is getting out of hand.

Taufaua did not deserve a boot in the face, as that is overtly wrong......what he should have got was a good 3 or 4 punches to the face. This off the ball shit irritates the shit out of me.......its cheating

Sasuke you know nothing about Jean Deysel. He has a better record than most your dirty kiwi players. Why don't you take that little note you have and write on it, sharks fuck the pride of NZL up with 13 players then put it in ur pipe and smoke it or stick it up ur arse! Whatever u prefer!

The kiwis have turned killing the ball at the ruck into an artform...McCaw being the biggest culprit, others are now following his dirty practice.
