 And ppl say NZ are dirty, cheat and get away with it oh yip . Its a two way street. SA players hv bn using dirty tactcs, diving into rucks, illegal scrummaging tactics for years just like NZ and other teams. Just saying no one can take the moral high ground it goes both ways. New laws hv cleaned most of that stuff up though.

Hard to argue with Adri Geldenhuys but if it's based on a single dirty performance in just one match then Corne Krige wins hands down after his disgraceful performance in the Springboks humiliating 53-3 defeat to England in November 2002.




Krige completely lost the plot that day and he was accurately described as a "rabid dog" by the English media. Post match footage shows Krige head-butting Matt Dawson, elbowing all of Jason Robinson, Matt Dawson and Martin Johnson in the face, putting a knee into Lawrence Dallaglio's back, stamping on Phil Vickery, punching Jonny Wilkinson and Lawrence Dallaglio and then taking yet another swing at Matt Dawson, missing and concussing Andre Pretorius instead. P robably the dirtiest performance by any player in a single game and to make matters worse, Krige was the captain.

Firstly, Bok players are very seldom dirty just more robust than tearful abs and fans can handle.Krige could be particulary robust at times, the Poms on that day made the mistake of annoying him. HahhahahahahaI recall our lock Labuschne making a hard tackle on the little darling Johnny and getting a red card in the first few minutes of the game and ruining the spectacle.That pic of Schalk is very misleading his hands were just brushing over the lions player face. No damage done at all. Schalk has never been a dirty player and its disgusting to see him misrepresented like this.
The dirtiest players in the world are unquestionably the samoans followed by the wee abs. Comparatively we are saints.

 I actually have Corne's book and he admits not knowing why he behaved that way, he did lose the plot totally. He said he was totally wound up before he went on the pitch and that was the result. As someone who really liked the man, I was pretty shocked to see it and wondered what on earth was wrong with him in all honesty. I wasn't outraged, I was just saddened to see it. Everyone else I was watching with was just laughing their heads off, it was just such a surreal match. I was glad we won, don't get me wrong, but I did not enjoy it one tiny little bit. 
The Tour match against EP was far worse, when Jon Callard had his face torn off. And the main perpetrator of that was a New Zealander, of course !!

Secondly could it have been Hayden?Burger wasn't a dirty player.

Oh please man! Schalk can be grateful he only got a yellow card for that disgraceful eye gouge on Luke Fitzgerald (which by the way was reported to the ref by the touch judge who happened to be your hero Bryce Lawrence). The citing commission later found him guilty and he was given a 8 week ban. Only a very stupid or delusional person would think you can get a 8 week ban for "just brushing" another player.

Unfortunately Beeno, I think that particular post would be quite bare as the ABs have already reached Sainthood levels . You would have noted that 2 refs were injured by your Team and fans. Not even the All Blacks have reached those heights

 Well, the EP match was hideous. Tim was sent off and it was so silly of him to walk into the trap set for him. We knew he shouldn't be playing that mid weeker after playing so superbly in the Test the Saturday before. It was just obvious something was going to happen. And he really walked straight into it  Poor Jon Callard...that deserved a hefty penalty. 
The first day we saw Tim after that, my brother told him off for allowing himself to be set up like that ! It was quite funny in a way. He even told him off for not even actually connecting with his punches !! Oh dear. 
It was a terrible match, but what can one expect from those terrible EP folk.....hey Saffex ???

Uli and Burger Geldenhuys were both thugs and cowards. I have no respect for either of them.

Nope, cowards. They got most of their punches in from behind, while a player was on the ground or otherwise defenseless/occupied (like when Uli ended Tony Watson's career, which he still hasn't had the balls to apologize for to either Watson or his family). See in that clip how Geldenhuys runs away like a little b!tch after he got his cheap shot in? Why didn't he stand his ground against the lock since he was in the mood for being a big punching hero?

Cowards. Good players, but their behaviour off the ball says all I need to know about them as people.

The hit on Tony Watson by Uli Sch midt was dirty but Uli was no coward...Tony landed up in hospital but Uli went to visit him in hospital the next day and sincerely apologised...Tony was very graceous and shrugged it off and all eventually ended well and forgotten...he held no grudge against Sch midt...ironically Uli was a doctor

That entire challenge was an act of cowardice, an attempt to deliberately injure the player. The last article I read on this subject Tony and his family maintained there has been no apology, ever. Tony had to have extensive surgery to repair his crushed face.

Yes, Tony held no grudge and made light of the incident. Which makes him a bigger man than me, and certainly than Uli.
