Joubert will be assisted by Marius van der Westhuizen and Rasta Rasivhenge, with Marius Jonker the television match official (TMO).

Jaco Peyper will referee the quarter-final between the Stormers and Chiefs at Newlands (19:00).

Peyper will be assisted by Jaco van Heerden and AJ Jacobs, with Johan Greeff the TMO.

So the odds are stacked heavily against the Kiwis . As we all know corruption is rife in SA and the dirty japies will try all the tricks in the book to win against us. Just means we will have to be 30 points better than them.

Mate the Crusties have a history of beating the Lions so I can't see any apologies being necessary from Joubert this time.

Chiefs will be relying on superior speed and fitness .

didn't the SANZAAR say that they were going to appoint neutral refs if possible?

why then an aussie ref for the Brumbies-Landers and a saffa for both SA-NZ derbies? put at least the aussie ref for one of the SA-NZ games and one of the saffa refs for  Brumbies-Landers

anyway, I prefer Joubert than the last kiwi refs in charge of the saders' matches,..... Ben O'Keeffe was horrendous and let the canes players do whatever they wanted,......

Gave us the 2011 wc lol. Your still not over that are you. NZ scred more points and tries then anyone at the wc. Had the best performance of the tournament againgast Aussie. You would have to be a very bitter person, to say nz did not deserve to win the wc in 2011.

Yes and you would have to be a very naive man to think that the All Blacks beat the French in the final.
They didn't.
Deserve?? What do you mean by that? It's not given to the most deserving but to the one who wins in the end.
McCaw cheated as he usually does and even that wasn't enough to take the crown legitimately  ... you needed the ref to help out ... and that's what he did.
What really cracks me up is that you guys are still going around patting yourselves on the back for the "win" ... LOL!!!

You guys were crying for so many decades "oh woe is we ... we can't win the world cup ... who will help us out" ... and that's when Joubert stepped up ...

Check it for yourself ... you arr ogant pr!ck ...

They've never been good enough really.....Shameful that Sanzar should appoint all SA officials for these home matches.Looks like they HAVE to have a SA team in the Final to save face; this after handing them 2 automatic spots in the play-offs already!I'll be monitoring the SA linesmen closely this weekend. Whenever there's a SA linesman officiating at home, all the 50/50 calls go to the home side,  like who touched the ball last for a lineout and you can bet your boots those flags will be coming out at crucial moments! So nothing's really changed in SA since pre-isolation.....

I find this very amusing. Of course SA have had cheats, and still have some who use dirty tactics. We'll be the first to admit that. Bakkies Botha will always be a dirty player in my book. Dirty, but not a cheat. Others are blatant cheats. But see, we can admit that. There is nothing we can do about it, but we do what we can in saying that we recognize tactics that go against the spirit of the game when we see them and are happy to call our own players on it. What is ridiculous beyond belief is that Kiwis seem to think they are endowed with superhuman morality. Not a single Kiwi S18 player is a cheat. Not a single Kiwi ref has ever been biased. Ritchie just bent the laws, he never intentionally broke them because he was better than that. I struggle to believe any country could be that arrogant. Maybe the guys on this board are just poor representatives of their countrymen. It's also funny that as soon as we point put isolated incidents of what we perceive as misconduct in the game, then a) our argument is blown totally out of proportion as though we are insulting the entire nation and calling them scumbags and b) the Kiwi retaliation is proportional to the perceived insult on themselves and they label every SA player and ref a cheat. Don't you guys see how this is totally ridiculous. Ask a Bok fan about our 2007 England win and we'll be very honest in saying that many calls didn't go the right way and that if they had then it could have easily resulted in England winning. Ask us about 95 and we'll also quite quickly agree that there might be truth to thd food poisoning conspiracy. Now, why are we able to do this while clearly being an inferior nation to yourselves. Mmm, maybe we're not so inferior huh? Now here is where I might insult yoh a little. My feeling, is that you guys are a small country and have short man syndrome to a certain degree. I'm just speculating but maybe the idea that you don't have a great deal of political sway in your region also has something to do with it. Obviously geography and pure population size are the biggest contributing factors here. You obviously have a great small little country and that's why many Saffas have taken up employment there. There is no disputing that. But somehow, the perception I have of you guys is similar to that the way a bigger brother is supposed to treat a smaller brother. Allow him to point out all your flaws and treat him with respect, but remember that he is younger than you and you cannot do the same to him because he does not have enough life experience to deal with criticism and his feelings will be hurt. No? Do please refer to the above posts as a case in point ;) My question. Why are you guys like this? It's bloody odd.

"Nahh plum you and your mate can believe all the horse sh!t you can eat ,makes no difference to the outcome does it ? Now tell all about how NASA supposedly faked the moon landings.

As for refs I really dont give a sh!t"
Totally uncalled for insults and trying to make me out to be nutter, for my belief that the RC 2011 was not refereed correctly. Ergo, i am insane because i don't agree with you. I last encountered this kind of intelligence/maturity on a school playground.
And here's another...
"No one here has ever stated we are innocent or endowed with super human morality, all we are doing is pointing out that you are not the sweat innocent victim of a big cruel conspiracy that you lot make you out to be.Geez take a look sometime, not every call against a SA side is wrong and every other team gets away with murder.
Reading the threads here some of you lot must watch with both eye patchs on as you have no idea whats happening or even the basic rules of rugby. Unless there is a version in SA that the rules only apply to teams playing against SA and you lot have never infringed.
Bunch of hypocritical armchair warriors"
A) When were you accused of SAYING that you had superhuman morality. What i did say was that you omission point me to believe something about you. I'll await your rebuttal in terms of examples where you have in fact pointed towards Kiwis not being endowed with said superhuman morality. More simply, give me an example on this board where you have ever admitted to any kiwi player being bent/poor/unsporting etc...the way we Saffas have admitted. the most recent case on our side being that of John Smit. another example being our discussion of Schalk Burger, which is still on this page and able to be viewed. You won't admit it, but when we discuss your players to the same standard that we discuss our players then we have to be insulted? I'll refer you to "Allow him to point out all your flaws and treat him with respect, but remember that he is younger than you and you cannot do the same to him because he does not have enough life experience to deal with criticism and his feelings will be hurt." And i ask you, am i wrong? To further my point, notice when kiwi fans do discuss our players how we don't all jump on the bandwagon and throw insults across the fence. Wthe vast majority of us takes your pints and discuss them with you on our personal preference and ideas of players and the game...NOT FROM AN IGNORANT PATRIOTIC STANCE. And again, i'll refer you to My question. Why are you guys like this? It's bloody odd. Care to answer?
B) big cruel conspiracy that you lot make you out to be. Please point out where this was said? In fact my post clearly states that SA had things go our way when they shouldn't have in the past, for whatever reason. Irrelevant much?
C) not every call against a SA side is wrong and every other team gets away with murder. Again, please show where this was said. Refer to point B above. Disproportionate straw man nonsense?
D) ...eye patchs on as you have no idea whats happening or even the basic rules of rugby. When a view differs from yours then it is clearly wrong by default the opposition need to be a) told they are idiots and b) insulted.
E) Unless there is a version in SA that the rules only apply to teams playing against SA and you lot have never infringed. Now claiming that SA want different rules to apply to us, because we point out general errors that go against the spirit of the game, and because some of those situations involve Kiwi teams. Again, refer to point B above. Suddenly we want different rules to apply to us. Yet more straw man nonsense. Keep going, you're 2 for 2.
F) Bunch of hypocritical armchair warriors. A final insult in an attempt to undermine, even though not a single valid argument was made in his post. Now i refer you to what i said above, and to what CrusadersFan was responding.
"It's also funny that as soon as we point out isolated incidents of what we perceive as misconduct in the game, then a) our argument is blown totally out of proportion as though we are insulting the entire nation and calling them s[removed]bags and b) the Kiwi retaliation is proportional to the perceived insult on themselves and they label every SA player and ref a cheat."

Now is it me, or did this guy just prove exactly what i was saying? Blows an argument totally out of proportion, reacts according to this disproportional perceived insult, makes points which are not valid nor relevant and then blah blahs on while holding his straw man aloft.
And then onward. What's the title of this thread? Dirty Jarpies? In response to Joubert reffing an SA QF. Though when video evidence is pointed out where the same ref has screwed up a big game, then it is met with cries of tin hat wearing babies who are just jealous.
Now i ask you, am i wrong in being totally confused by all of this? Is Joubert a ref totally capable of screwing up a match or isn't he? Or is he just a ref totally capable of screwing up matches against New Zealand's teams but never the other way around. Or are we simply insinuating that because he is a SA ref he will favour the SA side on the day? So are we then buying into the "how NASA supposedly faked the moon landings" idea of biased decisions and conspiracies affecting the outcomes of games?
This all confuses me so much. It is really difficult trying to understand when referees are and are not able to fcuk games up once one adds New Zealand into the mix. It's a variable totally beyond my ability to understand. Maybe i should just exclude games involving New Zealand in future, since it seems that, "the rules only apply to teams playing against SA(Replace with NZ)..." as regards refereeing reviews, and as such it creates a variable which is too large to round off correctly when attempting to remain objective.
Maybe one of our kiwi members care to shed some light on this. It follows logically that  "..eye patchs on as you have no idea whats happening" the people who recognise that we are so ignorantly blind clearly are not so themselves, could easily point us in the right direction.
I eagerly await clarification.

You enjoy using your sphincter as a mouth piece, don't you?
You say something ... and then when confronted ... you do a 180.
What's the matter with you?
Why are you changing the subject?

Nothing to say regarding the video footage?

I take it you were able to see the transgressions on the footage provided, right? I take it you saw how favourably you were treated during the match, right? How you were allowed to cheat and get away with everything ... and how the French were penalised at every turn, right? ... or were you lot fitted with the double eye patches you so eagerly claim we wear?
How about the rules of the game? Do you even have the slightest idea on how they're suppose to be applied? ... or are they only there for those playing against you.
Try to get your head out your ass ... it may help you see things a little clearer.
And you call us hypocrites ... LOL!!!!!

Many are too young and would be blissfully unaware of South Africa's history of blatant cheating by their referees that dates back many decades. So we can forgive a little bit of neurotic ranting from a few of their psychotic ignaramuses.  But despite the jarpies history of blatant match fixing I'm prepared to suspend my judgement on them being outright shameless conniving cheats subject to less than 4 yellow cards and a lop sided penalty count being awarded against us.However one has to question why all the touch judges and TMOs are also from SA . Very shonky that. How did the sneaky jarpies mange to wangle that one?

Saderfan, I hope you choke on that horse shyte you are waffling. Blatant cheating? One has only have to go back to the 80 flower bomb test to see NZ gross cheating in action. And the cheating only came after the Boks had to sleep underneath the stands like chickens.  At least Saffers had the dignity to have you lot sleep in proper beds. We have a special bond with NZ Rugga, but if you wanna start pitching stones, GFY! Let the real rugga people continue the teadition....really, if that's what you're bringing to the table, GFY!!!

CC, the French were "penalised at every turn" in 2011?The stats say the penalty count against each team was 10-7 to the French.I'd hardly say that's being penalised at every turn would you??

Clearly Kiwi refs don't have the experience of their SA counterparts when it comes to "incentives". I must be encouraging for SA to know they still lead in one category.
