The list is long so I will liasst them according to the Franchises from where they came from:-

Bulls  =   Serfontein, Engelbrecht, Hougaard

Engelbrecht never really got the ball to play with - but he obviosult was not looking for work either.   No penetration in attack  - defense iffy.

Serfontein tried to be the enforcer center without much success.  Lost possession of the ball a few times and his defense was poor.

Hougaard had a few moments - but his defense was very, very poor

Cheetahs  =  Mnisi

This guy may be a CC level player - but he is not a Super 15 player and Naka's big m,istake of the day was to bring him on from the bench.   Cost the Cheetahs twp tries by the Chiefs.

Lions   =   Jonker

Unlike what som,e may think - you need a brain to play tje game of rugby.  Stupidity cost the Lions dearly in his case.

Stormers  =   Taute, Grant, Catrakillis, Kolisi, Fourie, Carr

I am not even to try and list their "sins".  They were either plain useless or try desperately to assist the Waratahs by penalties, ball possession losses,  missed tackles and general useless play.

Minski looks like the worst SuperXV prospect I have ever seen, and Jaco Taute some how gets worse each week.
Jantjies was also worse than useless for the Lions, his channel became a toll free road for anyone to walk, run, drive or park in.
The Bulls front row were also a laughing stock. With 2 monster locks in Willemse and Flip, they still got out scrummed by the Chiefs.
i thought Hougaard had his best game of the season though,

 Hougaard was ok I thought. Of course the Stormers props were quite poor....Boshoff made a few calamitous mistakes....Tagicacibau went to sleep....Schreuder made his usual mistakes

 Some necessary corrections. Fourie was outstanding but as a loose foward he is not a hooker. Ou maaaikie please see the context! Moz when you field a 100 kg hooker, a 110 kg lock and two 100 flankers your props are going to suffer. Stormers scrum has beenm good but when up against a925kg warts pack their scrum was bound to creak a bit. Kitshoff has agood futurte as he is very mobile Malherbe has shown he is as strong as Jannnie but abetter all round foward. Coetzee is stuffing up big time with his selections of show ponies like Carr and Kolisi. He needs adecent scrumming hooker like Liebeberg. A lock like etzebeth and aloosie atr seven like Burger, Elstdat or Rhoses. Fourie at 6. Completely different picture.Coetzee suffers from small man complex they dream they can do what the big boys can.

Boshoff had a very competent game on the whole.
Grant and Taute were very poor. Jaco is clearly worried about past injuries.
Best SA player over the weekend I saw was Britz followed by Sarel.

Puleeze. I don't think Kitshoff is any better than Kebble. Malherbe as strong as Jannie? When did he show that ....scrumming in a huge Bok pack against Gethin Jenkins. Until these guys can take it to their opposing props, they remain good provincial players....nothing more.

 Do you really have a clue about props and hookers - as well as Locks - roles in scrumming?   The best scrumming props will fold without crucial support by the hookers and locks.
You have lost it here again - when you do not like players - you go for them despite the shortcomings of others in the set up.   How many times for instance have Jannie in recent games gave away penalties for scrumming infringements?  Often enough - he had good lock and hooker support throughout -  and his role outside scrums have become less and less.  That you have not seen - or did you?

 Malherbe has had Etzebeth behind him for the last two years and still I can't remember him dominating a good prop. Game, set and match. And while we are speaking about that, dontcha owe me an apology for claiming Matfield never stopped Tait from scoring...huh?

You really are a wonder the way you interpret issues.   I said two things about scrumming and you took hold of one of them - namely the role of the lock - nothing about the hooker - who is also a crucial element in the process.
And as for an apology about Matfield's try saving tackle in the RWC final in 2007 0 what a load of crap.   Lets look at the situation 0 there was a line out in which the Englis won the ball.  A bad pass by the English scrummie went astray and Tait picked up the ball with some space before him and ran past Steyn - who missed the tackle - his fourth missed tackle of the match.   Tait was in the clear and running at speed until he was stopped by the cover defense.  Do you want to tell me that at speed Matfield could overhaul Tait and make a try saving tackle?  By the time Matfield turned up Tait was already stopped by the cover-defence and he assisted in finally bringing down Tait.   Not a try saving situation as mentioned by you.  absolute crap again.
The only try saving tackle made that day was by Rossouw - not be Matfield - so no apology can be reasonably called for.

 15. Mathew Tait

Finally we can say ‘what a player’. We witnessed his coming of age in the Final, where he was simply awesome. Having cut South Africa’s midfield to shreds (apart from that prowling beast, Matfield) he switched to full-back and showed this is the position for him for the future. With the retirement of Robinson (ego te salute) he is England’s best broken-field runner, with the boot to boom his way out of trouble if required. A truly exciting prospect.

 The flashing incision through the Springbok defence, the blurring step inside Percy Montgomery, the try beckoning and then, bang, darkness as Matfield envelopes him and the TV official makes his fateful call on Mark Cueto’s subsequent dive for the line. It has even invaded his sleep.

We all know that Matfield loved moonlighting in the backline  and that apart from line outs - he was useless up front.   But this move followed from a line out play and one wonders what he was doing in the backline instead of the line out where he should have been in the first instance.
However, I accept the report you quoted and have a video recording of the match and will have a look again at the incident and see what actually happened.

 Well given you thought Rossouw tackled Tait, at least you are learning, however unwillingly.

 Balls = I never said Rossouw tackled Tait - I said he made the try saving tackle.  That did not imply Rossouw tackled Tait.  Everyone knows it was on the English wing.  I will watch the game again and see what actually happened.
However, what was clear from that game is that Steyn's defense - despite what you said about his "presence" - was always seriously questionable and nothing he did since his return from France indicated otherwise.    This year it was even worse.  He lost some serious pace and despite his weight loss - he was even worse than last year.
He got beaten on the outside by pace (Harris being an example) and on the inside by poor tackle attempts.

Tait was not tackled by Matfield - so talking BS again.   Matfield did not figure in that defense at all.   Wiggle, wiggle like a snake and getting nowhere near the truth.  But that is Mozart all over.

Good luck with your attempts to spin this disaster, you old fool

Wiggle = wiggle liker a snake again.  There was one try saving tackle in the game and that was not the one on Tate - it was about 2 minutes later on the Pom wing.  It took about 2 minutes for the TV ref to decide on that one.

I watch the play involving Tait - after the break he was clear and ran into the Springboks 22.  he was slowed down by one defender and managed to get free and was then tackled by Matfield.   So you were right in one respect - without the Matfield tackle he could have scored a try - and I apologized for that one.   The actual trysaving tackle was after the English recovered the ball from the resultant breakdown and went wide to the wing - where Rossouw made the actual try saving tackle.
There was one other thing though.   There was a line out and the English got hold of the ball - they tried to take the maul forward - and all our loosies was involved in containing the maul.   Matfield was standing behind and took no part in containing the maul.   He was free to run back towards the full back.   Again not doing his work up front - as is very normal with Matfield.

Hougaard was up and down during the game - at times good enough - other times bad, On average his defense let him down badly - hence my comments on him.
JJ is standing around - what about only one run at an angle receiving the ball from the flyhalf - like Conrad Smith did on Saturday?   None at all - matter of fact none this season at all.
