Here is a link to a doco that a Candadian journalist did recently about the situation in SA.

It's well put together despite the leaning to the right.

Watched half of it last night and dunno if i can bare to see the rest.

Historical landownership is perhaps the most contentious issue anywhere in the world- but it is worse in South Africa.
In South Africa, a minority-owned the land- and to some degree, the indigenous black people were slaves to work on the land with no laws like minimum wage.
This is of course not the whole story- as African states (e.g. Transkei, Limpopo etc) within South Africa with African leaders all failed in the Apartheid era. Just like they are failing today- corruption is just too rife. It is not clear why African people just seemed doomed to failure. They just can't get to grip with modern day systems of a politician being a public servant.
However, as a white English speaking person, it is very contentious why such a small percentage of Afrikaans owned the majority of private land in South Africa. The Apartheid was geared first and foremost for older Afrikaaner males.
Women were also victims of Apartheid, and they did not get the same equality- which saw many get left behind - when overseas women gained more parity in the workplace.
Now years after Apartheid, a small minority still owns the majority of the land.

If the Red Indians in America or the Aborigines in Australia were the majority we may have seen the same thing elsewhere. They would be capable of using a democratic majority to overturn legacy laws of land ownership.
It does seem that civil war is inevitable. There is only going to be one winner, and it will not be the minority Boers. If an opportunity arises to sell the land to the government- that may be the best idea.
However, the government is going to take the land back- and it will be done forcibly.  If the Broederbond tries to fight back, they are going to lose.
What we can expect is another African Banana state with a constant stream of military coups to replace one dictator with another. A small minority will use the votes of the majority- then sell them down the river. It is like a re-run that never stops showing on TV.

Shark. The majority of the "white owned farm land" is in the Karoo and other semi deserts. Those places were almost uninhabitable when whitey got here. I am prepared to leave SA if I will be allowed to choose any destination country. The powers that be does not want that though. They want to take the land and make white people poor. They want us to suffer.

Interesting read

https://www.news24.com/SouthAfrica/News/who-owns-sas-land-20171028

I don't see much of this 'land' falling into the hands of the vast majority of black people.

I also feel that if the ANC persists with this and follows the route of Zim... South Africa will soon be importing food creating an even greater divide between the haves and the have nots..

That's true, Draad ... and the sad thing is that there are many liberal white folk helping them to do exactly that.

We are more divided than ever before.

That is an interesting read, BokBeFok.

The way that they've been carrying on, lead me to believe that we had 90% of the land in our possession.

Turns out to be very different.

That article is interesting, as it seems that black people own more than 50% of the land- that is farmable.  The ANC is distorting the true picture of land ownership- and making it out to still be the same as Apartheid era.
It is interesting that the government does not acknowledge and publish these figures. However, as with any African government, the corruption is beyond belief - so they probably want to hide the facts.
Malema owned some land- but the farm went bankrupt. Confiscated land, but not given to a farmer- instead given to a "freedom fighter"

This really is madness in the part of SB.  Where does he get the info on land ownership from?  The fact is that there  are huge areas belonging to the Government - try Zululand, Transkei, Ciskei and in Limpopo - the so-called tribal area.

Then we have the rest of KwaZulu-Natal and the Border areas where Afriaans-speaking people owning farms is  a rarity.   As Draad already said there are huge desert and semi-desert areas where large tracks of land belongs to  Afrikaans-speaking people  both Coloureds and Whites.

The only area where land virtually exclusively belongs to White Afrikaans-speaking owners  are in fact the Boland and Southern Cape area.

So lets look at actual figures  - there are only36 000 private farm owners left in SA.   Of those about 25 000 are Afrikaans speaking  Whites.    The idea that all land belong to 25 000  people is ridiculous.

According to some data on registered properties - the land ownership issue is used as a political football.   The Government over the last 24 years bought out 16% of the land to hand over to land claimants.   The land was handed over to new black corporates and agricultural production on the land came to a virtual dead stop.   In most cases the claimants wanted money - not the land - and they were paid out by the Government,    Now the claimants  are back at it claiming the land again.

So lets look at KwaZulu-Natal - the province have the  best farming land  in SA - yet the Province is a net importer of meat and vegetables from other provinces in SA.   Virtually half of the land in that province is Trust land - the production being near to zero.

The fact is that the whole thing is distorted.  SA has a failed Government - failing to deliver services to the population and the land issue and racism is the only vehicle used to retain power  in Government.   It is not only the farmers who are targeted - it is every White, Indian and Coloured who are.

Sad to say the country is going to hell - most Whites and especially the elderly and  middle income earners  are struggling to survive  and is not wealthy at all -  there are  Hundreds of thousands of poor Whites.   They cannot emigrate and are forced to continue living in the hell-hole.

I think the democratic governments around the world should pay for white people to leave South Africa, given that most are decent from British, Dutch, German, France etc.
However to establish balance-  black African born people should be deported back to Africa. If Africa is for the Africans only then fine, but surely same principles should apply in Europe.

So there I was on the firing range instructing newly minted officers all of them in Nursing Corps[ they had to do a shortened officers training course and were all RNs ].

The officer was a scrawny looking woman who reminded me of the chicken in the looney tunes cartoon chasing Foghorn Leghorn but with coke bottle glasses .At 100m she was getting 5-10cm groupings of 20 rounds with an SLR which looked wider and longer than she was .

"M"am where did you learn to shoot like that ?!" "Oh on the farm shooting at terrs "

Turns out she was brought up on a farm bordering Namibia if memory serves .She also decided she wanted to bonk the bejezus out of me and told me so in a rather matter of fact manner ,I had to tell her that um "sadly M"am fraternization is verboten " which didnt stop her from copping a feel though.

Tough as nails that woman .Funny too.

Watched the whole thing. A sad postscript to the Dutch colonial experience in South Africa. Inevitably they are being forced out, being replaced by far more unscrupulous and far less competent people. To the detriment of everybody else, except the few. It's Africa and all the trendlines are down.

Denny

This campaign is against all Coloureds, Indians and Whites - as well as every Black regarded as a sell-out as well.   Just bear in mind the long list of political murders amongst the Blacks in especially KwaZulu-Natal and the number of Black farm owners and workers also murdered.

In a way the Zulus are the real problem - they hate every other Black tribe in SA and they are divided amongst themselves as well.   The pestilence in the set-up remains Zuma - who is undermining the present regime.

Just see what happened to Mnangagwa in Zimbabwe - he was targeted by remaining Mugabe fanatics and was lucky not to be killed.  Mugabe was the mainspring of the kill-the-Whites campaign in Zimbabwe and now in SA.  .The next person they would try to get at is Ramaphosa, being a Venda.        .

Exactly right....the murders are across all ethnic groups, there is no compelling evidence which proves that white farmers have been singled out. The farmers are soft targets because they are isolated and the reason behind more white farmers being killed than any other ethnic group is because there are more of them than any other ethnic group.

Hmmm ... ??? ... funny though that every farmer that I've heard of being tortured and murdered just so happens to have a white name.

In fact I've yet to come across a report telling us of any black farmer being tortured and murdered.

Nah ... I don't believe it. This nonsense is just to take the attention off of what's really happening out there to the white farmer.  They are systematically being wiped out and the governemnet is doing nothing to aid there plight.

The white man is the target, and at times his farm workers who try to help, are taken out too ... as they are looked upon as sell outs.

If black farmers were also targeted, I'm sure the government would have mentioned it and we would have bus loads of black demonstrators clogging up streets, burning tyres and throwing stones at passers by.

South African farm attacks

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Jump to navigation Jump to search

In attacks on South African farms, predominantly white farmers and black farm workers[1] are subjected to violent crime, including murder. Farm attacks have been described as "frequent" in the post-Apartheid period, and, although some analysts believe they may be linked to racial animosity within South African society.[2][3][4][5] The South African government, and other analysts, as well as Afrikaner civil rights group Afriforum maintain that farm attacks are part of a broader crime problem in South Africa, and do not have a racial motivation.[1][6][7][8] It also remains unclear if white farmers are victims of violence at a higher rate than the general population,[9][10] with some research showing that black farm workers are the victims of violent criminal attacks at a "far higher rate", by criminal intruders, than white farm workers.[1] Statistics released in 2018 by the South African government showed that while the number of attacks had increased between 2012 and 2018, the number of murders on farms had decreased, year-on-year during the period,[11] and farming organisation AgriSA reported that the murder rate on farms had declined to the lowest level in 20 years,[12] a third of the level in 1998.[13]

A November 2017 analysis by the BBC found that there is insufficient data to estimate a murder rate for South African farmers.[9] Between 1994 and March 2012, there had been 361,015 murders in all of South Africa and between 1990 and March 2012, there had been an estimated 1,544 murders on South African farms of which 208 of the victims were Black.[14] The data for farm attacks is self-reported to a commercial farmer's organisation, Transvaal Agricultural Union. The last government analysis of farm attack victims by race was conducted in 2001. In 2001, the year with the highest number of attacks,[13] the police’s Crime Information Analysis Centre stated that of the 1,398 people attacked on farms, 61.6% were white, 33.3% were black, 4.4% were Asian and 0.7% were listed as “other”, with murders on farms in 2007 accounting for 0.6% of the national total.[15] Racial statistics around crime are no longer collected by the South African government.[16] In January 2015, AfriForum reported that there had been an increase in farm attacks and murders in the previous five years.[17]

White farmers have long complained they are at risk of rising violent crime and that they are ignored by the South African government.[18] The physical isolation of farms,[12] and the perception that farmers have cash (for the payment of wages) and weapons onsite have been described by police as a possible motivation for criminal attacks on farms.

Perhaps the United Nations should send a commision to do an independent audit of land ownership.

I certainly don't trust the ANC, but I am not sure if I trust AfriForum either.

This article from Bloomberg seems to quote "the ANC audit" as gospel.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-03-01/why-land-seizure-is-back-in-news-in-south-africa-quicktake-q-a

"A government land audit released in February showed that farms and agricultural holdings comprise 97 per cent of the 121.9 million hectares of the nation’s area, and that whites own 72 percent of the 37 million hectares held by individuals.

This tallies with the results of a separate audi t released Nov. 1 by Agri Development Solutions and farm lobby group AGRI SA, which found non-whites own 27 percent of the nation’s farmland compared with 14 percent in 1994."

I am tuned into an Afrikaans radio station that unlike most other SA radio stations report on farm murders all the time.

These reports are as many as 2 to 3 brutal murders of white farmers every week ... many of them over the age of 70. With it comes gang rape of the elderly and torture using clothing irons ... before a heavy blow to the head with a spade br ings it all to an end.

My questions is this ... is that the normal practice for a common thief ... or does it sounds as though it's driven by racial hate?

Sure sounds like there's more to this than robbing these farmers of their cell phones.

Any stats forth coming from our Government should be viewed with a bag of salt. They lie at the best of times ... as can be attested to by one of their former members ... Mike, who we all know has honed the art of telling bullshit stories to a fine art.

The actual truth on the ground is vastly different to what we see in the media.

Black on white racism is very common. Just go and look at comments below articles on News24 or the Sowetan Live...or check out some Twitter strings on the subject. There are a lot of hate. They don't want us leaving either. They want to take our stuff and watch us suffer.  They want revenge. They are the radical left and they think the time is right for revolution.

If you take into account that white people is about 8% of the populace...and that white farmers is a small percentage of that, then it's clear that the killings is extremely disproportionate.  Ad the sadistic  torture and it is clear that there is big hate component to these crimes.
