Haha...I think the Matfield thing is pure speculation and wont happen. But I'd like to see Goosen get a run. In spite of HM papering over it Lambie was a basket case yesterday. He is not going to be the Bok flyhalf. So best we get another look at Goosen.
Trouble is if we do that we wont be able to try JJ at wing. JP will get the nod because he can also cover fullback.
Selecting Fury straight into the starting 15 shows what the coaching staff thought of JJ's "great test"...and that's the truth.

The fact that they beat the Welsh does not mean there were no weak links in the Springbok team. There were and you need to look no further than Morne Steyn (clueless kicking leading to counter-attacks and not even attempting tackles), Fourie and Pietersen.
Even though we may win most matches - the ultimate losses in key series will remain and we will remain as no 2 ranked nation as Sasue said previously. With players like the three mentioned we are on the same road as we were in the past three years.
I am sure that there are better players around and we will see how Super 14 next year pans out.

The real myth is the robotic Morne Steyn - the most predictable flyhalf in world rugby and the one with least ball sense and reading of the game a well.
As long as he is in the Springbok team - as Sasue pointed out clearly - we will always be r anked no 2 or worse in World Rugby. The sooner he is out - the sooner we will get a proper backline pivot and not a player with limited capacity in both attack and defence with one only asset - his kicking at goal.
