It brings the same bad memories from RWC 2007 giving the French a free pass at the breakdown and elsewhere

Hakwa
I am delightd that I was wrong in my score prediction - so I would just doi a plain analysis of how I saw the game.
The problem was that there was a few players who performed better than their All Blacks counter-parts. I would say these include Le Roux, Pollard, Hougaard, Vermeulen and Bismarck - in seense it was a very even game and those players - especially Pollard made a huge difference.
The probem was the Springboks won despite some real passengers and head ache players. Here I include all of Jannie du Plessis. Matfield and even de Villiers. When will he evr lear not to break the defensive line and allows the AB's to run in a try?
In the end the geriatrics ran out of steam and that is a problem Meyer must bear in mind.

Jean goes to the ref and then Barnes go to the Video ref and says "Is there something you want me to look at"

Got to praise the young man AgPleez!
Mike Le Roux was crap and Habana and Serfontein were on par with their Kiwi counter parts.

Agree about Willie, Shezza. He has been worrying me for some time. He seem to have lost his spark a bit. None of those fearless going for the high ball any more. Having said that, is it my imagination or have the high kicks onto him also dried up a bit?

Dont blame willie. It is so obvious he is the playmaker and they watch him liek ahawk.
I dont think Jean had that great a day.
To me the most ordinary players were Jannie, victor, bakkies, Jean and surprisingly Habana.Hendricks defence is a concern against Savea. Still Savea didnt score. Please note cerudunce windpomp that he remains tryless against the Boks but of course is a good wing. Meyer go fro broke on the NH tour. Have the older guys on the bench if you must.
Schalk Burger (31) is still a very good player. Jean is fading a bit (33) - will he make the RWC.

Beeno: holding someone tryless is a sub-objective. Savea had a good game IMO.

Handre Pollard
Ceradyne, I think it's mainly to do with him being a marked man but it also seems like a case of second year syndrome. Team's may have found out what his game is about.

Check the stats on Savea. He also set up Fekitoa's try. In terms of win/loss records, he's not doing too badly, lol

Lol please your a hypocrite Beeno. You do nothing but moan about refs favouring nz, bent refs. If this happened to SA, we all kno you would most likely created a thread saying "Bent refs give Nz the assist again". Yet SA have to rely on a soft assist from the ref to win, regardless or not if it was the right call (it wasent their was nothing wrong with it, the crowd had a cry Barnes caved). And your telling NZ fans not to blame the ref? Really? Isint that a bit rich coming from you lol. Incidentally im not going to resort to that lvl. After all the games controversial ref decisions went NZ way. Nz have wan gone the other way. Unfortunatley thats bad luck. So NZ fans should set a new precedence, after this no SA fan can ever say NZ get all the reffing decisions go their way.

SA TV -->didn't realize until Sunday that in someone in the TV Network has the power to magnify something harmless to favour the home team LIVE and not replay bits that don't favour the Homeside.
Remember the days when the Video ref was only there to make grounding calls and that infamous SA School Teacher Video Ref made a call that there was a foward pass before the try (even though it was flat at best) depriving the ABs of retaining the TriNations for good (just before the 2011 RWC)
Remember the days when a SA ref officiating a Test between the ABs and the Boks confirmed that "we" scored when the Boks scored.
Surely those days are not coming back - I think they are.

Oh dear, are the naughty refs being ugly to the poor victimised little Kiwis? Sniff . . . it's all so unfair . . . boohoohoo!
Waaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahaha! What a bunch of crybabies! To think these were the same guys having a laugh every time blubbering ref-bashers like Baboon-ou got all tearful . . . and it turns out they're no different!
Justin Marshall is an excellent commentator . . . a million times better than the hopeless ly biased Bob Skinstad.

Sharkie "Also the referee at least consulted the TMO to watch it on the big screen"
Sorry Sharkie, the bird had already flown (magnified and replayed) when the Barnes after being prodded by Jean asked the TMO "Did you want me to watch something?". There was no request from either Barnes or the Touch Judges to replay the harmless incident yet the SA TV Network took it upon themselves to play judge, jury and executioner and taint the Test Match.
IF it was really a penalty, Barnes would have awarded the penalty earlier, Lambie would have kicked the penalty and the ABs would have had more precious minutes to win the Test YET play was let to continue until the ABs won a scrum and hey PRESTO - desperately clutch onto the straw of Messams harmless tackle, MAGNIFY and REPLAY for the crowd and Jean goes up to Barnes and goes "Do you want to watch that replay?" and Barnes goes to the Video ref and goes "Do you want to show me something?" That was REALLY FAST WORK by the TV Network guy or gal.
Until the TV Network Fiasco, I was more worried about the scrum that was to ensure because I did not want the ABs to concede a penalty at scrum time for the Boks to kick a penalty infront of the posts.

DA was it really ironic or was it more sissy-like the way the TV, the crowd and Jean combined begged for the penalty? Remember we have already have the RC in the trophy cabinet back home.
Embarrassing and shameful.
