they may be scoring tons of trys. But its also a real reflection of poor defensive capabilty.

this game that Screams attack attack , seems to also leave massive holes which look ready for the taking.

Im not completely sold on it. A team thats playing a more rounded game like the Brumbies could easily hold off that flair ad punish the holes.

Please goodman we dont some posters in tears here.

Personally I also dont like the direction we have been moving these last few years. Two long lines opposing themselves. The faster the game gets the smaller the field becomes. Moz can perhaps explain that to rooitwit.

nz have been manipulating the game to ther own ends for years now. However a decent pack of Saffer forwards will still whip em. As they will find out in the years to come- If we can keep some talent away from those pathetic NH parasites.

The way Dagg got steamrolled by the Canes this morning, reminds me of Catt vs Lomu, well it was very poor technique.

The intercept try scored by the Canes off that whitelock pass, it showed a single mindedness about the play.you go forward at all costs but you dont show a clinical mindset where you slowup the game and choke the opponent out .

You seem to have a problem with our Kiwi friends. I dont, very nice people. And I dont believe for a second that anyone can manipulate the game for the sole purpose of one nation. All the rules are in black and white and apply to all of us.

Are you saying Aussies, South Africans, English etc etc are not capable of playing this new brand of rugby ?

if so, please explain how the English beat them, was that one big set up as well ?

You speak of a Decent pack of Saffer forwards, we had that last year. Are you saying Duane, Louw, etc etc are not decent ?

You are sounding like ou windpomp/dorkie dumbo. Tqwo inveterate plodders I know.

Goodman had Morne and company kicked well at Dunedin we would have won comfortably. That was a good pack of Bok forwards and so dominant were they that the kiwi backs did zip. England beat them in the forwards - and the result was the same. Did you even vaguely understand what I said!

Oh so bryce lawrence just happened. Bwahahahahha dont be so gullible. How do the rules become rules. Go think about that .

I am saying we play a more forward orientated game and the faster game does not suit us as quite as well.

I enjoy the kiwis very much but like to give them a good word to ponder. Bwahahahahhahaha Don't worry they give it back.

And you are sounding like everyother out of touch rugby wannabe expert that scatter the planet looking for excuses as to why we lose a game.

yes we lost in Dunedin , and we could have won, but what of the past 10 years. Are yousaying every result in that period is down to some " conspiracy". We have not had the coaching Nationally to keep up and dont try and fool anyone ( including yourself ) that we are a Forward orientated nation, We may have strength in our forwards but we have classy backline players and have had many since the 60's and beyond.

It would be sad if i had to list them, as a rugby man should know this.

You have created a nice comfy excuse for poor results. I think a better team will get better results. Like Dunedin , a better kicker ( on the day ) would have or may have sealed the deal.

You say england beat them in the forwards,  so you wouldnt say Manu was the instrument that broke their backline on countless occassions, twice creating te tries to break the back. You must have been having a snooze Sir !

I have thought about the rule thing, and guess what i think they still remain black and white. Adapt or die.

I dont care who you think I sound like thisis thesecond or third time you have said that to me, its evidence of your paranoid little mind. just like your Kiwi conspiracy. do you smoke ganja ?

Bok you still going on about a game SA lost in Dunedin ..get over it its kind of pathetic. Forward oriented game ...so as soon as the ball gets unleashed on the backline its all over for the BOKS..mmm interesting theory. Well good luck with that

@Goodman, the New Zealand teams keep taking backline attacking play to new levels.

The passing and running of backline is light years ahead of the South African teams.

Our forwards are typically better, but when the the New Zealand teams get 50% of possesion they are going to score more points using their backs.

It seems our backline play improved a few years ago, but this year it has been very poor. Hopefully the Sharks attack will come right soon. The Stormers backline play has been diabolical for some time

@SharkBok, i agree. Their ability to raise their backline attacking game. Its a credit to them and a pity we havent had the coaching to keep up. Our juniors have been doing it and get stifled at senior levels.

But i do believe the Kiwi sides for all their attacking prowess lack a solid defensive mindset. Which could be their undoing.

Did they read it yet ? It would have come i handy especially when the Lowly poms pumped their defence, and thus far in the Super series all those high scoring games, where it looks like its easier to score a try than it is to score a Kiwi bird...now thats easy ! :-)

Look i will say this, you guys arent a complete blackhole in defense but its not brilliant. The Blues are probably the best balance side. Hard to score against.

Goodie  you are obviously new to the game. Allow me to explain some very elementary rugby to you although I fear my efforts will be wasted.

The basic point, I will keep this very simple, is that when an opposing side dominates the nz pack as ours did in dunedin and the poms did at Twicks the abs backline struggles. Getting ball on the backfoot neutralises them to a significant degree.

Likewise the backline playing behind a dominant pack play much better.

I appeal to all here to assist wee goodie with these rugby mysteries. bwahahahahahaha

papa moaner I have just watched the crusties/ hurricanes match. The crusties must be gutted to lose this one as they were much the better side.

However it was poor rugby. Endless knock-ons, passes going astray. Very poor tackling. Wee dagg was pathetic against julian. Much of it was a shambles. Then near the end a wild speculative pass and the intercept try.

So oaks those who are up in arms about our rugby ought to watch that match. Defence like sives!! If the nz oaks wrote the manual they have clearly lost it. Hahahahahhahahahaha

Makes me more confident for our better sides as they hit their straps. Boks also should win the Championship this year. I had thought it would be 2014 but we are definitely in with a good chance this year.

I have always said that the Highlanders must b the poorest side in the New Zealand conference - but they got whipped tonight badly by the Cheetahs,   The Highlanders have too many rugby gertiatrics in their team,

However, the way they got beaten is not a good advertisement for the real strength of the New Zealand conference.

goodie two shoes the Cheetahs game makes it two and counting. Kiwi defence makes their attacking skills look better than they are when their sides play eachother.

Hope ou goodie is getting a glimmer. Those expecting the wee chiefies to run away with it aginst the Stormrs could be in for a disapointment. There will ne no big score against the Stormers in my view.

I note ou maaaaik back peddaling from his views over the last weeks. Hahahahahahaha

Go Mighty Stormers another Kiwi scalp this week end would be most welcome.

Welcome to all but that turncoat rooitwit.Bwahahahahahaha

Elsewhere I listed the four worst teams thus far this weekend - and three of those were New Zealand Teams.

I really mam getting worried about the Chiefs - I think they are in for a hard grind.   The beat the hapless Highlanders that subsequently was given a rugby lesson by the Cheetahs and they beat the Cheetahs - badly affected by jet lag.   Are they going to make it this afternoon despite Jantjies - I frankly do not know.

Well Mike you have travelled a long way. At the begining of the week you were saying the Stormers are going to get hammered. At least know you dont know! Hahahahaha.

Look until the Stormers pick the right backs and get their attack functioning I cant see them scoring big scores.
The Chiefs will find it hard from their point of view to cross the chalk.

Had we been at full strength I would have no doubt at all. As matters stand I believe we will win but it will be fairly close.

Bad days for sitting bull looming!

Go Stormers time to get our campaign to win Super 15 on track.

Beeno1 , im not sure what your trying to prove. I said the Kiwi sides are not great on defence, either you agree or disagree. But its hard to read through all your waffle. Your Childlike response are really draining.

So be a good chap and cut out the " wehe's" and " bwahaha's" and such and try string together a sentence that an adult can read.

I think you talk so much off the cuff garbage that you really dont stick with the point of theconversation in the first place. Would you say the Kiwi sides are defensively sound ? And im talking about the Super rugby sides, not the All Black side that played at Dunedin.

I have been saying long before your post that the kiwi defence was not as good as out top sides - they are looser than us. You misrread me in this thread.

Looking forward to the Stormers game. Like Jean I have a good feeling about this one.

Unfortunatley i dont share your optimism about this one. I wish for a Stormer win to knock the wind from the chiefs sails , but i think they will have too much in the Backs.

But God willing they beat the Chiefs !

Well a supporter has to live in hope. I believe a backline can be neutralised by good defence. we have to play most of the gamein their half, nail our penalties and pressurise them into mistakes.

Ask yourself - can the Sharks beat the chiefies in Durban. If the answer is yes then so can we beat them at Newlands. The will to win must be there.

Mark Reason wrote something along the lines this week that the NZ teams were playing rugby this season way ahead of the other Super 15 teams. I hate when scribes print stuff like this because quite often they jump the gun too early and games like the England win happen. Its it damn hoodoo. Beeno yes there has been some crap games but last week the majority of them were from the SA teams so crap games happen in all the conferences.  NZ hasn't manipulated the game, they've evolved it for the good of the sport, SA just hasn't adapted to it yet...they may never as from some of you guys you think the Boks/SA teams still play the best rugby its just circumstances/conspiracies prevent you from being number 1, despite the stats.  Good game by Cheetahs, typical game by Highlanders both hot/cold teams. Goodman it's not that Kiwi's aren't great on defence, the mindset is to attack, they just happen to be better at scoring tries, unfortunately playing attacking rugby at speed has its flaws in that it's difficult to reset defences.

Bean brain you need a win to get off the bottom of the table buddy . In fact yr almost under the water table mate... From top of the log to bottom of the log in one foul swoop is like complete capitulation Bean Brain and with the prospect of playing the top team in the competition to redeem yrself i can't really rate yr chances mate...

Good luck with that.

Good game by Lima Sopoaga for the Cheetahs tonight with two tries and a comedy of errors with the boot would make him a great candidate for the Boks at standoff this year don't you think ?...
