At moments during the game when they should be building pressure to solidfy their lead, they turned to dumb decision making to ease the pressure off the Lions.
I lost count of the number of blind flick passes behind their backs to noone in particular. One should have thought they would have gone to ground with the ball to build another phase. Guess what the Lions were doing.
Kicking the ball to the Lions to run it back is dumb. That is their game. I would have thought kicking the ball out for a lineout would be smarter since we can put pressure on their jumpers. When we did jump in the lineout there was a fair contest - but we decided not to contest but instead to wait to contest the rolling maul. So bizarre the decision making.
Reminds me of the 2nd Test between the Lions and All Blacks when Cruden decided to go for a cross field kick on the Lions 22 with 2minutes left -->instead of keeping it tight for a drop goal.
Saders are very similar to the Lions in that the players are very well coached to be very much robotic. Curious to see how the game will play out.
