The whole Family set up is as follows:-
Joy Barendse is the widow of the late Charlie Barendse a top jockey in the 1950's and 1960's.
Their daughter Kerry married the late Aubrey Roberts - the ex-jockey and ex-coach
They had two daughters, namely -
* Tiffany who married Glynn Schofield; and
* Nicola who married Jeff Lloyd; as well as a son
* Ryan - who used to be a jockey but is now working in Sydney as an agent
Schofield has a son Chad who rides in Hong Kong,
When I spoke to Joy she said that Jeff Lloyd is trying to get his son into the Summerfeld Jockey Academy - but they have a problem in getting a visa, I do not know whether they have made progress in the relevant regard.
I have been a close friend of the family for more than 40 years and used to be invited annually to their Christmas Party for many years and was with them at the races virtually every Saturday in summer,
