Early Predictions - Super 15 games this weekend

Despite the rubbish written by the cowards on this site I am going to stick out may head and make some predictions as to the outcome of the upcoming games:- CRUSADERS - CHIEFS GAME In dealing with this game there are a number of factors to be taken into account. The main one is the log positions of the two teams. The Chiefs position on the New Zealand Franchise log will remain - even if defeated - but it could impact negatively on the over-all log positions. With only two games remaining wins by the Crusaders in both games can consolidate their log points to such an extend that they could ensure a home game in the play-offs. The latter aspect will motivate the Crusaders and they are going to go all out. There is not much to choose between the two sides. I believe the Crusaders have an advantage up front - with a better lock and loosie combination - with Carter being the key to their backline. In essence - despite the situation being tight - I think home ground advantage will swing the game in favour of the Crusaders and predict a 6+ win for them. HURRICANES - HIGHLANDERS GAME The Highlanders have been an almighty mess this year and it will be a very brave person that would predict a win by them on Saturday. Despite both teams losing last Saturday - I think that the Hurricanes put up a better show than the Highlanders did. The latter could have been influenced by the negative role of Nonu with his red card case. I believe that the Highlanders could put up a much better performance than they did against the Crusaders and am going to stick my neck out and predict a win by the Highlanders by 3+ points - after all they would like to get off the bottom of the log by hook or by crook. CHEETAHS - BLUES GAME This home game is a crucial one for the Cheetahs - I do not think the Blues have any chance to be in a play-off position. The Blues performance against the Sharks could have been influenced by jet lag - but I think there are real problems with their tight 5, On the other hand the highly-rated Cheetahs tight 5 was extremely poor last Saturday against the Stormers - their first really poor game in Super 15. Taking into account that it is a must-win game for the Cheetahs to secure a play-off game - as well as home ground advantage - I am going to stick out my head and predict a Cheetahs win by 8+ points. KINGS - STORMERS GAME This should be a walk in the park game for the Stormers and if they are incapable of getting a bonus point and beating the Kings by 20 points - it can be accepted that their win against the Cheetahs was a flash-in-the-pan win. Easy to predict - the Stormers by 20+ points. BULLS - SHARKS GAME A must win game for the Bulls if they want to have a chance to top the overall log position. Their last game was a mess - with the Sharks unlucky not to win. Despite that - home ground advantage should ensure a Bulls win and I predict a win by 8+ points.

LOL @ Moz! Right Moz, what are your calls? I am going with Crusaders over Chiefs, but the game can really go either way. Canes' over Highlanders, neither team is great, but the Canes' have been less kak on average. Cheetahs over Blues, I think last week will have been a wakeup call for the Cheetahs and if they don't win this game, they probably won't make the top six. They have the team, and I think they have the motivation. Bulls over Sharks, Bulls at home are not easy to beat, and they still have a realistic chance of topping the overall log (big motivation), that way they'll play all the knock-out games at home and as mentioned, they are not easy to beat at Loftus. Stormers over Kings, no explanation needed.

Bluebok Mozart is too much of a COWARD to make any predictions - because h really is clueless about team performances and is always wise after the fact. Why he even comments on this is beyond me.

Bluebok...there are enough people predicting on this site. There has to be a judge for the predictors....that happens to be me. We each have our roles.

Mozart COWARDS CANNOT BE JUDGES. In other words you have a huge mouth about something you made no contributions to. That is absolute nonsense - and really laughable. You a judge - that use stats when it fits your arguments and ignore them when they don't. You have been caught out badly with some of your match reports after games - a judge is somebody without prejudices - you have never been notable for not down writing players you personally don't like for stupid reasons of your own and praising others for doing nothing in games. COWARDS CAN NEVER BE JUDGES

...not so clevermike only one major faux pas that i can see with yr predictions.

 That is predicting a team with 10 points less on the log table than the Mighty Chiefs will beat them when they could'nt the last time they played them or the time before that or even the time before that..

Maybe you have forgotten we have Aaron Cruden in our team.

Hopefully by the weekend we will have made a Chiefs supporter out of you not so clevermike.

Dunno about the Cheetahs/ Blues game either come to think about it as they seem to be fading so it looks like it will be a Bulls vs Chiefs grandfinal at Waikato stadium at this stage.

Mozart The early pain - the early pain. Two out of two correct this time. My next one is the Wallabies to win by 9+ points. No news from the cowardly yet.

Mozart I overrated the Wallabies - but for the record my predictions on Super 15 was 5 out of 5 played. The Bulls and Stormers scraped in - they were lucky to win Net week's games are actually immaterial and only played to determne the home venues for the play-offs. If the Bulls beat the Stormers - they will top the overall log. If the Chiefs beat the Blues - they will be in second position. The team you hate - the Cheetahs - will be in position 6 and likely to play the Brumbies in the play-offs.

Mozart Balls - your image of outcome predictions is weird. Only a small minority had the Highlanders beating the Hurricanes - that was the hardest prediction to have correct and I was only 1 point out in the score difference in that case. You are extremely quiet about the Super Rugby outcomes - and concentrated on the Aussie test one - because you are a faultfinder - and tries to embarrass people - more than being positive. You are the one with egg in his face dribbling all over his face. Imagine the two loosies in the Springbok squad that have the best performances this week were Labuschagne and Coetzee - both turns out to be MOM of their respective matches. Are you too embarrassed to respond to the item I posted on that one? Your hero Alberts was an embarrassment and so was your other hero De Jongh. As soon as the ESPN stats on the last two players are available - I am going to post that on this sit to see how weird your interpretations as to form of players really is.

Thirty four points wrong on the Lions.....hahaha. What a clanger....and you also had the Crusaders narrowly beating the Chiefs....another clanger. As for Coetzee, you have been telling us how bad he is for weeks, and now suddenly you're a fan. Sure OOm.

 

But  dontcha  get it?  These guys are nice provincial players, who might even have a good test against Scotland...but will disappear against the A Bs. Just as Coetzee did last year.
