No Taute, JJ, Jantjies,Kolisi, Kitshoff,Mvovo......they havent made the case.
But yes to Jordaan, etzebeth, and Coetzee....they have made the case on the field of play, at least suggesting they could outplay their Four Nations opponents.
Its not just about perceived potential, it's about proof.
Ideally it has to be about proof otherwise you are gambling - which can come off at times.
Taute is injured so he has not had too much opportunity to make his case. JJ probably is acceptable on the bench. Mvovo has not quite cut it but with JP out he was a possibility. Kitshoff and Kolisi are not ready and Jantjes has question marks over him.

There are really only two changes to the Springbok team - both as a result of injuries. Mvovo may be included in your list - but I think he is very much in the mind of SARU. However, I agree with your assessments as mentioned, One thing is for sure - Saffex will not agree.
Anybody is a better prospect than Spies.
