This claim has been received incredulously by our NZ friends, but it's true....right in this clip of Etzebeth highlights. The difference between Etzebeth and Jaws is that one is a big man, the other is that and also an athlete. I hope his arm injury is on the mend: http://www.sarugbymag.co.za/watch-eben-etzebeth-compilation/

Mozart, if Itsabutt is an athlete, what does that make Keiran Read who gassed Itsabutt in a test at Loftus (?) in 2015 (I think). An Olympic 100m prospect?

Ben Smith is and has always been a tad slow for a fullback/wing. I well remember Tim Nanai-Williams standing him up and going around him in Dunedin a few years back in a Chiefs vs Landers game. Smith didn't get within 2 metres  of him and relies on brains and guile to get past defenders.

Bent Read has never been the same since Vermuelen settled his hash. Bent read lost all confidence and retired to the wing where his lack of pace was exposed.

The big fear for wee Ben Smith is that he might by mistake run into Eben and disintegrate.

@ Moola

Indeed, he's never been the quickest and it's part of what gives me hope for Gallant as long term Bok 15.

Oddly even though I was accused of lying when I first mentioned this, I sense no remorse among our colleagues.

He has a bit of a mystery arm injury, that sounds like nerve damage.
