The biggest come back in sports....the biggest choke in the history of sports.....take your pick. The fact is the Oracle boat ended the series faster.....and perhaps the Kiwis needed to change tactics at the second gate, the split killed them. Epic, but no doubt it will hardly register in the USA. I only hope the Bargies have more respect for the script. Eight straight losses....amazing.....devastating  really.

Trouble is in this country it doesn't displace a second class baseball game. Hell the guy who tightroped over the Grand Canyon hardly made the news. I guess it's a big deal in San Fran and environs but nobody I spoke to today was even aware of the race this afternoon.

Yeah it's not an eveyman type sport. A bit elite and not for the masses. You would think the futuristic designs and high tech would attract people plus the speeds that they travel but not the case. Thanks for posting int Mozart.

Yo Orokilla had the ace and the pace

to come in first place,

they had the mean green in the case,

to take the last race with space

...was a turn of the tide,

the final race did decide,

like two worlds that collide,

they knocked Kiwi pride,

...and there's nowhere to hide,

like Bonnie and Clyde,

...except nobody died

Well the weather's certainly matching the mood of a nation ....grey, wet & windy as the nation reels away in defeat . The reaction has been up there, like losing a RWC . Must be like serving for the match in the third set only to be crushed in the fifth .

Almost inconceivable....but JW I agree it's a fabulous event. The Boats with their 7 story sails and creaking space age materials hit 50 miles an hour. Stunning. Those things are huge and magnificent. The Oracle boat had a terrible start ploughing heavily, but it was just too fast in the end.

Similar to wimbilton final up 2sets 5-0 40-0 in the third and Still not winning. Arrogant kiwis taught a good lesson at the hands of the good humble Aussie skipper. IN YA FACE KIWI SUCKERS HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH SUCK IT HARD

Congradulations Oracle and Team USA! We will now look for someone to blame other than ourselves - we will start with the ref, then the weather, then try to look for ways to discredit the other Team! Of course it is not our fault!
