Engelbrecht has been replaced for the game on Saturday by William Small-Smith and he has been benched.

I am not really surprised by this change.  Engelbrecht this year did not show anything.  His carries were poor and easily contained - he runs straight at the first defender which is a huge problem at center.

His defense was average - nothing to write home about.

Saffex will have a fit!!!!

Is it not perhaps just squad rotation? JJ has started every game this season, an Small-Smith must have been due a start at some point. Although surprising to not see him not make more appearances of the bench to start with.
Maybe Jan Serfontein is blaming JJ for never being in the right place.

Rotation or no rotation - Engelbrecht did not bring much to the team this year - now did he?

Try catch a fucking wake up you idiot, how much ball has JJ got and what makes his performance any different to Jean, Frans, Sadie, de Jongh, Serfontein etc.......it all gets a little tiresome dealing with such ignorant posters........what exactly should JJ have done differently this year bright spark???

Play some thinking rugby for a change - running straight at the first defender does not represent THINKING rugby.

About time if you ask me.

Hopefully his next move will be from the bench to some desperate club looking for a chump to make up the numbers.

Useless waste of space if ever there was one.

Even the tiny De Jongh is a better bet at 13 than this wannabe.

Oh Clown I see your stupidity never escapes you.....would that be the de Jongh who cant tackle you ignorant twit?

So are you saying its about time Ludeke rotated JJ.......well he has done just that as the article says unless you are too thick to pick up on the English language?

Are you saying that your beloved Boshoff has been dropped from the Lions side as well as I see he is on the bench this week, with Jantjies starting.......rotation?

No need to become so emotional, Stupid? I know your prone to it but seriously ... get a grip.

JJ has been dropped to the bench because of the shoddy season he's having. Ludeke's disguised it as part of his rotational policy but we both know it's not quite true.

One can't blame Ludeke. How many chances should one give a player before putting your foot down.

Enough is enough, Stupid.

And yes ... it is the very same De Jongh who can't tackle that I refer to.

You missed the bit on your Bok 10 Boshoff.......let me guess he has been dropped to?

No I didn't miss the Boshoff dig ... I merely put it down to your usual emotional outburst when on the back foot and never thought you'd actually want a response from me.

But seeing as you insist ... there's a very big difference between Boshoff and JJ. The one has talent and the other doesn't. The one is deserving of a break and the other's team is deserving of a break ... with out him, that is.

Hope that helps clear it up for you now Stupid!!

"Flotation" is the word you want Dave, not rotation....for a while he floated, he never swam, but now JJ is sinking. It's over....this guy is not a competitor.

A mistake resting the best 13 in SA and returning him a week later would be a mistake???

Take it Meyer awarding him a Bok contract was a mistake then? Meyer must be a fool in your eyes.

I tell you what the most obvious mistake is........is the retention of useless de Jongh at 13 for the Stormers this weekend.......but then again Coetzee has been making those calls all season
