Their favourite players go through games doing near to zero and they wax lyrical about how good they were, how they broke tackles and set up attacks, etc., when there is no real evidence to prove their dreams of perfection..

Sasue, hakwa, Just Win, Brycy, nukefreekiwi (I nearly added Cloudy - but she is such a lovely lady).
They constantly live in the past and their future comprise of all of Richie McCaw and Dan Carter. On the whole a nice lot whose dreamy bubbles can be pricked quite easily. Excellent fishing waters - they swallow bait hook, line and sinker.

If their favourite players foul up the excuses invented to cover for them is ingenious. The best way is to ignore stats in such cases - less it may discredit their favourites. (Stats is to be used selectively only when it can enhance the image of their favourites or discredit players they do not favour - otherwise it is taboo)

Summary
Where do I belong? The Joker in the pack who drives other members crazy because he looks at rugby and what happens on the field of play - no inventions and when a storm ensues he always uses stats to prove his point. The bane in the life of most members.
Realism does have positive results - the real thinkers do well in performance evaluation - as is proven in their fairly successful participation in fantasy games. The excuse finders and inventors will never participate in that kind of competition since they have very little realistic ideas about what is required to comprise good performances and they are extremely prejudiced in favour of some players an d their dislike of others.
