but only based on test matches played by the countries involved in/vs SANZAR teams
1 james slipper
best of the loosehead props, but pickings were quite slim with no real standout.
2 bizzy
has truly confirmed his status as the No1 hooker in the world bar none.
3 nicolas mas
like slipper, the best with what was available with the slinm pickings.
4 brodie retallick
everywhere man, does everything right and with authority.
5 bradley davis
dont like putting in two players who played in the same position (#4), but his workrate for the welsh was huge, most effective welsh forward ball in hand, plus was tireless on defence.
6 wilhelm alberts
best game of the season, one of the best performances from a 6 in 2013.
7 Richie McCaw
never has a low workrate and was a monster on defnece with a 100% success rate with his tackles, even more impressive considering he made 19 of the bastards.
8 duane vermeulen
just a tough brute workhorse of a player, and the most consistent forward in the Boks pack IMO, delivers in every test.
special mention to parisse who was good and very close to making the team.
9 fourie du preez
the general was just too good, too smart and excuted perfectly, couldnt ask more from any halfback.
10 remi tales
guy played like a spartan warrior and like teammate fanana splits, was a real headache for the All Blacks.
always challenging the line and got plenty of off loads away which sparked powerful momentum for le bleu.
special mention to cooper who had a great game too.
11 honey badger (nick cummins)
awesome game from the jerry curl looking speedster who looks so akward when running, lolz.
finished brilliantly and consistently battered the italina defnece with powerful run after powerful run.
special mention to piutau who came very close to making my team, but the AB backs had defensive issues and piutau wasnt exempt despite being the key player in both the AB trys which led to a 7 point vicotry.
12 wesley fofana
must have been covered in vaseline or something, cos the All Blacks couldnt stop him on their first attempt. its not a coincidence that nonu missed 5 from 11 tackles marking the elusive french 12.
13 jonthan davies
like the props, very slim picking in the No13 jersey.
had very limited opportunities, but did more with what little chances he had then anyone else.
14 adam ashley cooper
very good game from AAC who has proven all those stupid folks wrong but saying he was overrated, prob the most consistent wally in the entire team.
special mention to yoann huget who also had a great game for the french but IMO was clearly 2nd to AAC.
15 bruce dulin
simply outstanding with ball in hand, he outdagged israel dagg, no easy feat considering dagg schooled all his counterparts in the RC/4nats without breaking a sweat.
folau was pretty close too, he had a great game vs the italians and was IMO tied, but the quality of the opposition gave dulin a big edge.
