Good to see a Kiwi team guaranteed a place in the final playing the Bulls by the looks.

But based on yesterdays annihilation of the Reds and their recent comprehensive victory over the Chiefs one could say the Crusaders go into the semi final as favourites ???

Who would write off the Chiefs though and will be interesting to see what the bookies make of all this.

The Chiefs are basically very unlucky. The Cheetahs outscored the Brumbies by two tries to zero - yet were helped along nicely by Jackson who gave the Brumbes ample penalties to override the deficit. I am actually glad it happened, because the Crusaders will now meet the Chiefs in the first semi-final. I give the Chiefs about a 5% chance of winning that one. The Chiefs have gone backwards in the latter stages of the competition in terms of performance and their victory against the Blues were utterly unconvincing. Their catastrophic loss against the Crusaders in Christchurch is a sign of what is coming their way in Hamilton. As to the Brumbies - they were in fact out-performed by the Cheetahs in Canberra and they have a similar chance - 5% of beating the Bulls in Pretoria. I was in fact severely disappointed by their performance today - especially their inability to score tries. Under the circumstances I believe that a final in Pretoria is on the cards and would say the outcome should favour the Crusaders - but a variety of factors favour the Bulls and they may just win. I would say the odds is 60-40 in favour of the Crusaders because the Bulls forwards are not really the best pack around.

The Crusaders play with an attitude that the other super rugby teams don't seem to have.

It's the same attitude one sees from time to time with the All Blacks. A sense of controlled urgency. A high level of concentration.

I love it.

It makes an average team lift it's standard and become world beaters.

The Chiefs are in for a torrid time. They failed dismally the last time they came off a by.

Looks like a Bulls / Crusaders final at Loftus.

Gooooooooooooooo Saders!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
