Esterhuizen the best player in URC 2025

It's official, Andre is the best player in the URC.

Recent votes by players and coaches saw Esterhuizen land 35% of the votes.

The player with the next most votes was Smith Johnson with 13%.

So there you have it...Esterhuizen is the best player in the URC as voted for by those that really matter.

My personal opinion, he should be the Bok captain.

What a player!!!

Every time he touches the ball he makes something happen. He made 5 try saving tackles yesterday and saved the Sharks serious embarrassment.

On a recent Podcast, Rassie said that AE was the best back he has ever coached. And I agree. AE is easily the best back in the SA, and the world.

He was also the best player in the premiership or came close many seasons.

Exceptional whole season...he deserves a few starts in a row as a bare minimum.

I heard that AE has been offered a coaching job starting whenever he decides to retire.

...but the way he's playing, he won't retire for at least another 7 years.

Apparently a certain French club have offered him a big money 5 year deal, in the region of €30 million for the period.

Anyway, we know Mike hates AE but I'd like his take on Smith Johnson.

He's only 22 but he is consistently a top performer at Munster.

Is you want to destroy the Springbok backline with Sacha at lyhalf - include Esterhuizen as inside cetner, He by some distance not the best center in the URC and although Esterhuizen is second he will be overtaken by Osborne in thee final next week.

Esterhuizen is a show pony with crashball playing and deficiencies in scoring tries and question marks about his defense and ball skills as well. He is and was art o the deficient Sharks backlne. Hooker as a developing star - but is neutralized by bad players at 9,10 and 12.

He played in 21 tests and never one scored a ty either caused by him being absent when attacks is on and in one case he was supposed to score an easy try he nocked on a perfectly good pass made to him. So dream on about the 30 year old failure. If De Allende is not playing in tests Willemse a far better thinking player will play at 12,
